(( woot, Kgryphon! Matching theme song XD ))

Durante growled and pushed himself off the bed, figuring he had to go to class eventually. He left his dorm and stalked down the corridor and giving reproachful glares to any staff member he passed. Quite a few of them hurried past; he could have that affect on people, if he wanted to. A combination of his pointed teeth and the predatory look in his dark eyes could make anyone feel uneasy. Durante giggled slightly at the look on a younger staff mamber's face as he passed by. He knew he shouldn't antagnonise them, they could get their revenge later, but it was far too fun.

He turned round, an annoyed look on his face, as he heard a loud meow coming from further down the corridor. "Enzo" he growled, as a slender brown cat made it's way from the other end of the corridor to Durante's feet, looking up at him expectantly "I told you, you can't follow me everywhere"

-----------

Rowan continued down the corridor, glancing at his schedule as he went. He had history next and he was pretty sure he was already late. The centaure cursed quietly and began a quick trot down the corridor, thankful that his history classroom was nearby. He entered the classroom, panting softly, and glanced at the teacher appologetically. "Sorry I'm late" he muttered, sitting down at the back of the class. Sitting down was quite awkward for him, body of a horse and all, and he took up two seats. He set his bag down beside him and took out the books nessesary for class.

((x3 Well, that is some irony right there. okay, great characters! You are, of course, accepted, and I'll add you to the list soon! Guess I'll just include the headmaster's vague-ish form in this post. Jump in anywhere, Phon, and if you're lost as to how just ask and we'll figure out something for your characters.))

Leonard's lips twitched into a good natured at Annetka, amused by her slightly nervous composure, yet impressed that at the same time she was keeping up just the right amount of defiance. Not enough to piss anybody off, but obviously she wasn't backing down to them like he pretended to do. Good, the more she looked possibly suspicious the better cover he had for talking to her in the first place. "Which do you prefer?" He was, of course, referring to the two options she had given him. Many people liked nicknames, but if she was like him and preferred her full name he knew how annoying it could get constantly correcting people.

As the classroom wasn't very far away they reached it before long, though Leonard held a finger to his lips and motioned for Annetka to wait for a moment. The teacher was shooting one of the student, a pretty large centaur, a rather frustrated look and snapping at him about not being late. "Really, bad enough we have to take care of you... things but you should at least show enough courtesy to show up on time. This is a mark against your grade, horse." Which wouldn't matter, except for the school's... "unique" grading policy. "Wait for her to calm down." leonard whispered, not wanting to introduce a new student and walk into the wrong class with a pissed off teacher inside.

Username:midnightsun
Name:Michael Kastor
Age:36
Species:Regular human; or so he says. As he is rather ambiguous about himself it is rather hard for one to discern what he really is, wether he has "powers" or not, but the general belief that he's simply ordinary works to his advantage.
Picture/Description:With a ton of earrings and tattoos all over his back.
Personality:Kastor has been a diagnosed sociopath for years, undiagnosed long before that, which simply amounts to his lack of a conscious. Not so simply, it results in many other things. He has no compassion and is incredibly selfish, as long as he gets what he wants he doesn't care how it hurts others, nor is he often aware that he is hurting these people. Not only is he greedy, but often he assumes certain things are "his right", such as experimenting on the students, and he lies almost all the time, a sociopathic trait that allows his mind to fool brain wave-reading lie detector tests. Actually, it is nearly impossible for him NOT to lie regularly. As he cannot feel love, sympathy, kindness, or get any sort of good feeling from being a typical person, he has a need for danger, from gambling and drinking to life threatening stunts. Angry outbursts are not uncommon, and often he verbally abuses someone simply out of boredom, and let us not forget the common use of physical punishment. Kastor is cunning and manipulative, willing to change his life story to avoid a small fee, and refuses to take blame for anything. Even if obviously caught stealing, he would place the blame on someone else, usually coming up with a good point why it for some reason wasn't his fault. The worst part of his mental diagnosis is his drive to physically, verbally and even sexually abuse someone without often being aware of how it affects them, and indifferent if he catches on. While a psychopath is also all these things, what sets him and other sociopaths apart is the ability to genuinely fake emotions, making them even more dangerous to deal with.
History:Kastor was a genius in his own right even at 18, yet he joined the SA marine corps rather than send in a letter to a college, and since most would have accepted him readily this shocked many people. He simply replied that he wanted to serve his country, and serve he did for years, so much that by the time he was almost 30 he was a lieutenant general. However, he tended to lash out at people, in almost any use of the word, and ended up with too many friendly fire incidents during wartime. After a particularly nasty event involving an Afghan woman and her pleas for help after disobeying the ridiculous laws-pleas which were ignored, as Kastor couldn't help wondering how amusing it would be to see what would happen when this girl was pelted to death with rocks-things became too bad to ignore. After the doctors checked his mental state, he was diagnosed with sociopathy and honorably discharged from the Marines, as his mental illness was out of his control, though there was a large amount of controversy about his getting off honorably. Kastor would have likely faced prison, or time in an asylum, if not for the nuclear holocaust. As it was, he spent years after being discharged working privately on an obsession of his, one he'd been working on even before entering the corps, yet as far as most know this project was abandoned when he created Mythic Dawn.
Romantic interest:Not possible, simply enough.
Pet(optional):He considers all the students his "property", or in some ways his "pets".
Theme Song(optional):"Devour" by Shinedown, and "Master of Puppets" by Metallica.
Other:Speaks with a rather pirate like English accent, yet since he is not English nor did he come from england, it's likely that he is either faking it for some odd reason, or a most people believe, maybe the listener is mishearing him. The tattoos look like This.

{{ xD Random crap jump-into-the-fray-now is my specialty. :d Here we go!
Glad you like them. ^^ }}

"Hino!" Her voice sounded urgent, worried and, above all else, patient. Like she was used to this sort of thing. "This sort of thing" being having to catch the girl mid-fall. Jake's large hands steadied Hino, her face set in a fretful scowl.

"One've these days, that vein in your forehead is gonna pop, Jake," Hino announced matter-of-factly, poking at said vein which didn't really look anywhere near popping. Jake waved the tiny hand away, impossibly careful; more than anything else, she had to never, ever hurt Hino. Not even a tiny bit.

Mugi thrust his head out from Hino's hair and squeaked angrily at Jake. She snorted at him, a very horsey action, and turned her attention to the scene they'd been generally ignoring--just as they'd been ignoring the staff walking by, or more Jake ignored them and Hino smiled at them and waved. They may as well have had "new students" tattooed on their foreheads.

Jake managed to catch the teacher's words, and she bristled with rage. She curled her hands into fists as she took a swaggering step into the room, passing a boy and girl without noticing, and opened her mouth to retort. But Hino stopped her. The harmless little girl popped up in front of the centaur, hair swinging as she put on her best "I'm freaking adorable" smile.

"Excuse me," she chimed happily as Mugi hid away. "I think I'm in the right class--but I got lost too. Like Mister-centaur here." She tilted her head to smile at him, then turned back to the teacher. Jake shadowed her, eying Rowan suspiciously. As one of the biggest in the room and the closest, he was the greatest Threat in her book. She shifted a tad bit more between centaur and phoenix, making a face at the salamander. Mugi, still hidden from the teacher, was glaring at her. He hated her. The feeling was mutual.

{{ I always wanna hug Hino. She makes a horrible phoenix. -snort- }}

Rowan glanced at the new arrivals curiously, glad that the attention wasn't on him any more. He flicked his ears and looked the two over. He didn't like the look of the pheonix; he'd never liked fire and she seemed to be one of those people who was happy, no matter what the situation. Being about as pessemistic as someone could be, he found constant optimism the most annoying thing possible. The other girl, he wasn't so sure about. Of course, it was nice to see someone slightly more... horse-like in the school but she seemed rather more agressive than he was and was giving him an extremely suspicious look.

((Don't worry moondancer, it happens to all of us. *Shoulder pat*))

"Oy.Idiots." Leonard shook his head, sighing with annoyance as the girls barged into the room. They were definitely new, no doubt about that little detail. "Guess we don't wait." He grumbled, figuring that if they didn't go in there and stop the trouble before it started than they were bound to have two less students in that class before they even had a chance to check in. "Sorry, ma'am." The dark magician ambled into the room as if he hadn't just been spying at the door, and motioned for Annetka to do the same. "I'm afraid these two are still new, and they just got here recently. You know, it can get difficult finding the place, with al the humans looking for us and all." The teacher cast him a suspicious look, but he just smiled sweetly, trying to pass this whole thing for trying to keep the reason these kids were at the school a secret, not like he was trying to help them or anything.

"I do NOT accept lateness. Now sit down and shut up already, I've had enough interruptions." The teacher snapped, glaring spitefully at Rowan, Jake, Hino and Leonard, as she hadn't noticed Annetka yet. Relieved, the wizard hurried to his seat, amused that she hadn't noticed he was in the wrong class. On his way he paused vaguely to whisper in Jakes earn, "Tell her to shut up, not kiss up. And you'd better get rid of the fighting demeanor. Do you WANT to get yourself killed?" before continuing on and taking a seat in one of the uncomfortable plastic chairs.

{{ ^^ No worries, Moon. I'm sure my posts are about to start sounding like a monkey jumping on a keyboard soon, so that post was sooo not a fail. eheh. }}

Jake jerked her eyes from the centaur to eye the young man, curious rather than aggressive. She hesitated, then heeded his advice decisively. Hino opened her mouth to say something cheery to the teacher, and Jake covered it. She leaned down to hiss something in Celtic in the phoenix's ear, finishing with a bit of English, "Merci! Be quiet now, Hino. I have my debt to pay and you are making it difficult." She held Hino's wide-eyed gaze for a moment, then rolled her shoulders back, slouched at the hips, and took on a relaxed pose. If she hadn't been acting like her usual self just moments before, it could have probably have fooled an empath and would certainly work on the basically human staff, so long as she was careful. She pulled a neutral smile out of nowhere and steered Hino towards the back of the room, seating her in one of the few seats available then scaring a pixie into giving up her seat to the considerably larger kelpie--all without making a noise. As a predator, she understood other predators. Even if they were humans. She'd seen first-hand what those humans could do.

She kept her eyes averted from the teacher's as if she were a real predator and focused on the blackboard. Mugi had smartly hidden again, not even a trace of his existence to be found within Hino's swinging hair. After surveying the classroom and making sure the teacher wouldn't see, she jotted down a note and flicked it onto the magician's desk, stealthy as ever. She had a hard time not laughing at herself actually--she felt like one of those stupid brats on 'tv' that Hino had made her watch to 'learn the human ways.' The note was simple--"appreciation shown." Not a 'thank you'. 'Thank you' was dangerous in a school full of fae and their ilk, who could take 'thank you' as an admittance of debt and could sometimes even use it to enslave someone, but it she had to show her gratitude somehow. Maybe she'd send him a watch or something later. Human-things liked that, right? Shiny things. She'd send him something shiny. Looking down, she wondered briefly if he'd like one of her necklaces. The one with the cross on it. To protect him from some of the evil things--the ones that could be detoured not by Christianity but by symbols of belief. She'd heard of some vampires being chased off by crosses, but she was pretty sure that was folly. But there were other things, like demons and even some particularly wicked imps. She thought it still worked.

She tugged the cross necklace out and unhooked it, letting it pool in her hand. After a moment's examination, she tucked it in her pocket and made a note to give it to him later. Because, as far as he could tell, he'd just saved her and Hino's butts. She couldn't leave off with just a note. Her madder--master, she corrected herself--would be ashamed.

{{ Mmm...lots of nonsense in there, and only a tiny bit of interaction. =.=; }}

Annetka quickly followed after Leonard, almost reaching to hold onto him at times while passing some of the teacher’s negative and harsh glares at her. “Uhm… Either’s fine with me, I don’t really mind too much.” She replied softly, then smiled faintly at him. It didn’t really matter to her, what she was called, as people tended to switch between names. She didn’t bother with correcting people; if they called her Anne, even, she’d just let it slip by, but occasionally she did have to remind those of her name. But she was knew, and it’s not something she had to deal with yet.

Slowing down and stopped behind him, the Canaima female stayed in hiding behind her friend, her head slightly tilted to the side curiously, giving her a somewhat darling expression. Her thin, feline-like pupils seemed to dilate as she glanced up at the ceiling for a random reason, then back towards the classroom. The burnt golden colored gleamed along with them, but contrasted against the rest of her eye color; a deep violet. Annie slowly stepped in, her boot heels clicking against the ground as she looked around, fidgeting with the edge of her shirt. It looked as though she was smiling, yet her lips didn’t seem to turn up in the least bit.

She was kind of excited to be in one of her new classes, but if the teacher was as pissed off as she acted today, then this wouldn’t be so great. But one of the one things she worried about were the rumors of experiments; and because she was a Canaima, an old legend and a rare creature at that, she was all the more worried for her own safety.

Now, where to sit...

Durante strolled into the room, hands in his pockets, managing too enter without being noticed by the teacher. He took free seat and dumped his bag beside him. He scowled when he felt a soft nudge on his leg and saw that Enzo had followed him in. Giving the cat a gentle push with his foot, he turned his eyes to the other students.

The smell of the students' blood was strong but mixed up. He'd always found it interesting that the blood of different species smelled different, even if it tasted roughly the same: Human blood smelled like copper, centaur blood smelled like earth and woodsmoke and the pheonix smelled like ash. He studied each student with curious eyes, leaning back in his chair.

He could vaguely hear the teacher speaking but had no intrest in paying attention. He'd never seen the point of going to these classes. The students all knew what they were really here for so what was the point in keeping up the appearance of a school?

---------

Rowan turned his eyes to the blackboard, taking a few lazy notes. By the look of it, most of the class weren't paying the slightest bit of attention and either talking quietly amongst themselves or staring at the blackboard with glassy, far-away expressions.

He ficked his ears again, wishing the teacher would stop talking in such a loud, piercing voice; he was sure it was damaging his hearing. Still, he kept writing notes, though he had no idea what it actually was that he was writing.

OOC: Oh, dear, I do believe I have missed a few days. My apologies.

BIC: Everine, placing her dainty but powerful hands on her hips, and a smug and proud smile upon her rosy lips, was surprised to find so many people (well, not really people, but creatures, rather) had congregated in the corridor, almost as if she had summoned them. She had not, of course, only experienced wizards could, but she liked to think so. "Ah, another wizard!" She said aloud, looking intently at Leonard who was leading Annetka to her class. "Humph. She looks smitten with the lad. Quite like a sheep, if I might add. Tut, tut. And I do believe he is a dark wizard. I shall see about that." She received many angry glares from the staff, who all had to look up to her because of her height. She took no notice of them, but had her eyes glued on a strange look man. "Now, Dulson Dear, what could all those markings be on that man's body. Tut, tut, quite frightful." She trailed off, obviously staring at the headmaster.

Dulson squawked so loudly, silencing the noisy hallway briefly, drawing more angry glares and looks that said "I want to kill you" to both Dulson and Everine. "Beasts! No more than stupid beasts!" One woman bellowed. "YOU!" Said a fat man, "You are in so much trouble! Back to class NOW!" He practically screamed at her. She smiled, then frowned. "Very well, but you shall always remember Wizard Sibbs, Guardian and Keeper of Eldenwood and the land of Alyria!" She exclaimed, strutting into the class room with the rest of the creatures, falling in behind a strange person (Durante). "Ah, sir, now I am a sheep. But a very bad sheep I must be..." She said more to herself than the vampire man. She sat towards the back, Dulson alighting quite gracefully on her shoulder as she looked around. "Tut, tut, this shall be a long and frightfully dross sort of day." She said to herself.
