Modern Magic (No more new members)

After a few minutes they reached the cafe. Myst stepped in and one of the waitresses walked up. "Welcome back, Myst! Do you want to go to your usual seat today?" the waitress, a cat anthro, asked. Myst shook her head. "Nah, I brought a friend with me this time." she said stepping to the side to Shane could come in. The waitress nodded. "Alrighty. Mister, would you like to have a window seat or a booth? I know Myst doesn't mind either way." the waitress asked.

Shane didn't really mind which one. "Uh, booth will be fine." Shane said, randomly picking one. He sooth smelled the different scents of the foods and became hungrier than he had been before. He couldn't wait to order food.

The waitress guided them to an available booth and handed them menus. "I'll come back in a few minutes to take your orders." the waitress said and bowed before walking away. Myst flipped to the lunch section of the menu.

"Is there anything you would recommend?" Shane asked flipping open the menu to the correct section and began examining it.

"Well, I'm a sushi and calamarie fan myself." Myst said after setting the menu down. "But if you like spicy food, you might like some Udon(ramen) with shichimi(seven spices including hot red pepper)." Myst smiled a little.

"I think I'll have the U-don with shi-chi-mi." Shane said trying and failing at the pronunciation of the words. He laughed slightly at himself trying to cover up his embarrassment.

Myst giggled and smiled at him. The waitress came by. "And what can I get you two?" she asked. "He wants some Udon with shichimi, and I'll have the crab and lettus sushi." Myst said, saving Shane from another mispronounsiation. The waitress nodded and ran off to the kitchen. "So... where are you from any way?" Myst asked, looking back at Shane.

Shane was very glad Myst had told the waitress their order instead of him. He would have almost certainly messed it up. "Well, I came from a town pretty far from here. It took me quite a while to get here and being alone the whole time didn't help." Shane said trying not to remember any of the bad memories from the town.

"Hmmm, I bet it was. And you flew the hole way?" Myst asked. He seemed like that type of guy...

Shane nodded to her. "I did for most of the time. It seemed easier for me, I love the sky also, it's so open and free." he then said.
