Dove
Dove jerked her head up, hearing a door close down the hall. What now? She thought in exasperation. She shook her head, glancing quickly around the room she was sitting in. There was a simple bed (that Dove was sitting on), a plain dresser, a floor length mirror, and a nightstand which held a lamp. The walls were a dull grey, matching the décor. Dove’s eyes rested on a small shiny utensil resting at the base of the lamp. It was spork, Dove’s primary weapon. The rest of the Shadow Catchers, they always laughed at her for using a spork. What they did not know, however, was that each tine of the fork was sharpened to a lethal point, ideal for impaling and stabbing. A slow smile spread across Dove’s face. She leaned across the bed, snatching up the spork and turning it, watching the light dance. Why not see where Midnight went? This is boring anyways.
Dove stood up, crossing the room in a few quick steps. She grasped the doorknob and opened it slowly, peering out into the hall. Whoever was here before was gone now, the door at the end of the hallway already closed tight. Dove walked down the hallway, glancing to either side of her at the doors lining it. Each one held a few Shadow Catchers, sometimes one sometimes more.
She reached the end of the hallway, quickly opening the door and stepping outside. Dove took in a deep breathe. She really did love the smell of Shadow Hollow, it was different from any other place. It smelt clean. Dove turned the spork around in her hand.
Midnight
Midnight spotted something else in the trees. A figure, this one familiar. Definitely not a Shadow, with purple streaked hair and two-toned blue/green eyes that could be a tad unnerving at times. Natsumi. Midnight raised a hand in greeting, walking closer to her. “Hey. Kinda quiet out here, don’t you think? Nice night like this, there should be at least one or two of them Shadows out.” Midnight let his gaze flicker from tree to tree. It was strangely quiet out tonight. Shadows tended to be out a lot more when it was nice out, not hunting necessarily but out all the same. But, he could feel something watching him. Midnight glanced over his shoulder, spotting a few quivering leaves. He watched for a while longer, but there was nothing else there. Hmph. Midnight turned back to Aya.
~Diaspora~
Diaspora had to stifle a snicker when Midnight noted that there weren’t any Shadows out and about. She pressed herself farther back against the tree, disturbing a few of the leaves. There was a new Catcher here as well. An angry gleam crept into her eyes. What were these Catchers doing, envading her privacy? She was here first, they needed to leave. Diaspora quietly scootched to the opposite side of the tree, keeping the trunk between her and the two Catchers. She gently placed a foot down on the closed branch below her, trying her hardest not to make a sound and alert the two Catchers to her presence. Diaspora held her breath for a few moments, listening to any sound from the Catchers at the other side of the tree.

Behind this mask, this pretty face, there's something I'm hiding
In my gracious words and careful steps there's always a chance of slipping
My mask sliding, cloak tilting, make-up dripping
I hope you never notice when my perfect mask falls
Because love makes us liars, and it made a fool out of meAfter a very long hiatus (spanning nearly two years) I have returned! : D
