RedSparrows's Character
Full name: Raku Razorwing
Species: Human Male
Age: 17
Description: Standing at 5 feet 10 inches he seems to loom over much of the town. His bright red hair doesn't help him blend in either. Freckles are scattered across his face and arms with dark brown eyes making him look like the typical ginger. Its a scruffy mop cut of hair that is worn long so he can pull it back when needed. However his hair is usually worn down and just barely touches his shoulders.
Personality: He is cold, quite and calculating. It takes a lot of trust before he opens up to anyone, and even then he will not share many of his emotions. Mostly quite at first, he will speak up more and more as he gets the feel of the environment and people around him. He is happiest alone in a pasture or forest. He loves animals and nature. He hates many other two legged upright walking creatures capable of talking and causing him grief. He fears attachment to people or places more then death itself.
History: Raku is an orphan, his parents where killed when there town was pillaged. He was 6 years old when it happened. Ever since then he has lived with his cold, abusive alcoholic uncle who only wants him around as a farm hand, he could care less if Raku lives or dies. He has an older brother somewhere in the world, he plans to leave the farm to go looking for what is left of his family in the hopes of finding a place where he belongs and is wanted. Due to his uncles distaste for him Raku has learned to steel for a living. His entire life is based around what he can grab from others.
Skills:
Level 1 Lock picking
Level 1 Pick-pocketing
Level 1 Stealth

Auden's Barn
Image

It's dimly lit inside the barn, but there's enough light filtering down through the cracks between the boards and through the open hay loft above to see easily. Half of the barn's lower level is divided off as an open-access shelter for the horses, with a couple of troughs for hay and water and scattered straw across the floor, and the horses have obviously been using it a lot. Auden also wasn't lying when he said the barn needed to be cleaned out. Ew. Just to the right of the door is a pile of loose haybales with a pitchfork leaning against them and a few empty metal buckets nearby, and to the left is a rough flight of rickety wooden stairs going up into the hay loft. Almost every open section of wall has ropes, halters, bridles and harnesses hanging off pegs hammered into the wall, and there are several saddles resting on sawhorses. The table next to the saddles has some polishing supplies on it, as well as a hoof pick and a hoof clipper. Two posts in the middle of the floor have lead ropes tied to them, probably for cross-tying horses, and the wall separating the barn from the shelter has a broad gate near the posts for horses to be brought into the barn area. In the far left corner is a pile of lumber, with several closed barrels across from the pile and another pitchfork lying on the floor next to them.

((And so you come across the first area that actually has its own drawn floorplan. ^^))

Slink and Fillana

Once they've been 'knighted', the boys jump to their feet with huge smiles and puffed chests, and Melik quickly scurries back up to his former spot by the well. Danny bows to Slink and Fillana and swings his arm out toward the well. "My well is your well, my liege," he says in an affected upper-crust accent. "And the password is... is... Melik, what's the password today?"

"I dunno."

"Oh. Okay, the password is 'bingle bangle boo', then. 'Cause that's what it was yesterday, an' I don't think Corven said a new one yet. But you don't need it, 'cause princes and princesses don't need to say the password anyway." Danny nods decisively and flourishes his stick, swinging it around and then snapping to attention and saluting. "Don't worry - I'll guard you from any who might try to mess with you. None can get past Sir Danny and Sir Melik, and no deed is too big or dangerous for us!" Danny starts marching in circles around the well, apparently in case anyone tries to launch a sneak attack while Slink and Fillana try to get water. It looks like these two will be willing to help with anything Slink or Fillana asks of them from now on, so long as they're home in time for dinner.

Fillana laughs at Slink's improvising as she realizes that it's actually working. The boys salute them, and Fillana gives them a small curtsy. "Good job, sir knights!" She congratulates them while they 'guard' the well. "I have to say," She whispers to Slink so Danny and Melik won't hear. "I didn't think that would work. But it did." She grins to Slink and then steps up to the well.

Her hands rest on the well's wall as she peers down to see the water. It's about half full, and fairly clean by the looks of it. Her elbow nudges the bucket, and it wobbles a bit. "Oh no!" The bucket wobbles slightly on the edge of the wall, and then falls. The water in the well ripples as the bucket hits the surface, bobs a few times and then stays floating. "Oops." She looks at Slink sheepishly. "I guess that's the only bucket, isn't it? I'll have to get it out somehow."
"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better, it's not."

Alex stood back at the view of the barn, as soon as it was cleaned up - a lot - it would be quiet nice. He thought about asking Auden to stay in the barn for a while but it would cost quiet a bit. He shrugged, too much use of money.
Alex looked around, scanning the messy/dirty area for the planks before his dark purple eyes fell upon the planks of wood. He nodded, they would be good enough, so deciding on the worn out horse shoes and wooden planks he strode into the barn, heading towards the planks. Alex smiled, he stopped in the middle of the barn and put his hand on one of the posts, it felt smooth but he let his hand drop and fall loosely to its usual position. Alex started towards the planks again and stopped as he reached them, he leaned down and let his fingers feel the splintered wood before he grasped his hand around the piece and put it on his shoulder, he took a few more pieces and placed them on the same shoulder before pivoting around on his shoes again, but again, Alex forgot about his shoes and how munted they were in the soles. They shifted and he felt himself fall to the ground, the planks hit eachother making a lot of noise and a few pieces landed on him, making him groan in pain.

Alex

The planks fall to the barn floor with a loud clatter, but fortunately none of them break, although both the planks and the wooden floor are now sporting a few extra gouges and scratches. Auden probably won't notice the fresh damage though, since there were already plenty of marks across the floor from horse hooves, pitchforks, shovels, and assorted other implements that have been used in the barn over the years. While he's down there, Alex gets a good close-up look at the floor, but there's nothing of any interest apart from the usual dirt, knotholes and cracks in the wood. Alex has taken some damage himself - from falling on the rough wood floor, he now has scrapes on his hands and knees, and those bruises from the lumber landing on top of him will probably smart for a little while. On top of that, he got a sliver in the palm of his left hand. Ouch. At least it seems Auden hasn't noticed anything amiss and has remained out of sight by the corral.

((Raku's accepted, and he might as well start in the town square as well, since everyone else has. :3 Everything is the same as my initial description near the bottom of page 1, except Slink and Fillana are standing by the well with one of the boys who used to be play-fighting now marching in circles around it.))

(( SORREH AGAIN ;A; ))

slink;;

Slink grins, a twinkle in his eyes as he looks at Fillana, feeling quite a bit proud of himself. His parents always told him to 'grow up', and leave his 'immaturity' behind, but at this moment he's rather glad that thinking like a kid can still work for you in the real world somehow.

He follows Fillana up to the well and, as she bumps the bucket and causes it to fall, he throws his arms out to grab it, misses, and slides and hits his nose on the side of the well. "Ngowwww," Slink moans, rubbing his nose as he struggles to his feet. He peeks down at the bucket bobbling in the water and frowns.

"Huh, well, there goes our hope of getting water," he says with a sheepish grin. "What do you suggest we do?"

Raku slowly saunters through the town square, it was fairly crowded for such a small town. Looking around he eyed a few people to see if they where paying enough attention to avoid a quick pick pocketing. He felt rather lazy today, with no intention to return to his uncles farm for work. The old man was probably asleep right now anyway, such a drunk would never be up until later in the day. If he ever made a break for it he would take everything that wasn't bolted down. His uncle wasn't to rich, however he did have money on hand. "Come on" he mumbled to himself "Someone slip up, make my day. I could really could use some new shoes, or a coat or something." His uncle didn't cloth him well, food was scarce when served for him and shelter was leaky. He lived from what he could steal from others and today he was hoping for a good break in someones luck.

(Hope this works please let me know if I need to change anything.)

Alex groans, his cheek pressed against the cool and dirty floor. He struggles for a few seconds before he finds a comfortable position to lift a plank off of himself, he moves a little bit more before he lifts his arm and pushes a plank of wood off of himself. Alex winces as he hears in clump to the floor, he groans again and rolls over before pushing his hands against the floor and pushing himself up from the ground. He sighs as the planks fall to the ground and make a huge amoutn of noise. Alex suddenly feels pain in his right hand, he looks down and sees a piece of silver wedged in his hand, he closes his eyes in pain. He had been so busy getting out from under the pieces of wood he hadn't noticed the silver. He didn't even open his eyes as he put his finger and thumb around the silver and pulled it out.

Alex didn't even scream, but his bottom lip bled a little as he bit into it to stop himself from screaming.
