Jazz circled back around, heading for Ironhide again. As he ran past, he felt someone grab him and pull him back. Jazz yelped, struggling in the strong grip. “Have at him.” Ironhide smirked, keeping Jazz from running again. “You’re a traitor, ‘Hide.” Jazz said, though it was clear he was having fun.

“It’s your own fault, picking fights with bots younger than you.” Ironhide replied, a teasing edge to his voice. “I gotta make sure they have a fighting chance.” Jazz struggled in his friend’s arms, rolling his optics. “If you’d ever sparred with them, you’d be running too. They have more than a fighting chance.”

The seeker strode through the halls of the Decepticon base, plotting his next scheme. He had to find a way to get rid of that blasted Megatron! He should be leader, not that dumb brute! It was harder than he planned though, especially with Soundwave stalking about. He had to be subtle and careful in his planning.

"Get him!" Spitfire yelled playfully as she tackled Jazz to the ground with Tink joining in a second later. Both femmes were laughing with wide smiles.

"Energon coin for your thoughts?" A male voice asked with a small hint of amusement. Glowing green optics looked at Starscream from the darkness.

Jazz laughed as the femmes dog piled him. They weren’t that heavy, due to their small size, so it didn’t hurt. “You two are something else.” He pointed a servo at Ironhide from the floor. “You certainly weren’t any help.”

The red mech smirked. “Of course I was. Just not helpful to you.” This made Jazz laugh harder. “At least get these two rascals off of me.” Ironhide shook his head, walking away. “I’m sure you can get yourself out of this mess.”

Starscream jumped, letting out a keee than flattering squeak. His faceplate grow hot at he glared towards the source of the voice. “Deathclaw. I should have known you’d be wandering about at this hour. Did Soundwave not give you something to do?” Megatron’s most trusted mech usually made sure the Decepticons were busy at all times, so it was surprising for one to just be wandering about.

"Rascals?!" Spitfire exclaimed. "Come on, we're not sparklings anymore!" She added, poking his side with a smile before getting off him. Tink chuckled softly before getting up as well.


"Of course he did. And unlike you, I am obeying orders." Deathclaw replied as he slinked out of the shadows. His faceplate wore his signature "I'm bored and would rather be doing something else" expression which was currently directed at the unusually long claws on one servo.

“Age doesn’t been a thing when it comes to maturity. I mean, just look at me.” Jazz laughed, getting to his feet and rubbing his side. “Or a better example would be Sunstreaker and Sideswipe. When do those bots ever act their age?”

“I have more important things to do than take overs from that overgrown garbage compactor! I’m preparing for a scouting mission, under orders from Megatron himself. We’ve found the location of another energon deposit, and he wants me to check it out.” Starscream was quite the gloat, even where Megatron was concerned. Around others he prides himself on being one of Megatron’s top subordinates.

"Fair point. And they're your age." Spitfire commented. Tink, on the other hand, was busy looking over at Tellatran 1. "Hey, it looks like Tellatran 1 picked up an unknown signal. It isn't too far from here."


"Oooh, I wouldn't call him that, especially when I was given orders to keep a close optic on you...by Megatron himself." Deathclaw said with a malicious smirk.

Jazz looked over at the screen, taking in the data. “It could be an energon deposit. Let’s check it out. If it is energon, we’ve got to locate it before the Decepticons.” The mech said, walking to the entrance of the Ark. He transformed, revving his engine as he waited.

Starscream’s spark jumped, but he managed to keep his cool. “I don’t know why he would do that. I’ve been nothing but loyal to the Decepticon cause.” A lie, of course. Everyone knew it was a lie. His multiple attempts to take over the Decepticons had proven that.

"Wait, you want us to come with?" Tink asked, blinking her optics in surprise. Spitfire didn't waste any time, letting out a cheer as she transformed. "Come on, Tink, let's go!" She exclaimed happily. "Well...it would be good experience." Tink said with a shrug before transforming as well.

Deathclaw raised a skeptical optic ridge at that. "Well, are we just going to stand around here talking like gossiping femmes or are we going to actually do something?"

“Listen up, you two. We might be heading into a fire fight. If things get bad, I want you two to fall back. Got it?” Jazz told them through the comm link, beginning to drive towards the signal.

Starscream rolled his optics. “I wish there was more femmes on base. They’re much more agreeable than mechs. Come on then, you can come with me.” Starscream stepped outside, transforming into his alt. mode and flying off towards the signal.

"Got it." The twins replied in unison as they followed him. "Do you think it could be energon?" Tink asked him after a little while of driving.


Only because you might be able to get them on your side when you try taking over as leader again. Deathclaw thought to himself before transforming into his lion alt mode and running after him.
