[[Heard loud and clear, Keems. I'll herd some students that way to registration. ^-^]]
All his things were packed smartly and neatly into the mahogany wood of his desk drawers, all his lesson plans and tests and assignments ready to be withdrawn and used at their assigned dates. Not that he could see into the future, far from it. He was just prepared to follow a set line of teaching that left no gaps or missing links in the curriculum. Carefully calculated and adjusted for possible contingencies, his teaching was considered top notch, and always was completed according to schedule with the pupils absorbing and picking up more than the usual average of information retained.
As such, he had no need to carry briefcases or silly bags filled to the brim with overflowing papers and graded packets, like some other teachers did. A minimization of overexpendature of effort, as any assignments he did give usually involved physical applications of his teachings, and those involving written word on paper he graded right there at his desk and usually returned it that same period, if not, then the next period he had them.
On a side note, he wound up with more free time than other professors, which was a blessing in its own way.
The ticking of the clock dragged his attention towards the round device, something he had quickly learned to read and understand when staying on Midgard. To his mild surprise, he was early. An hour early, to be exact. A soft tsk of his tongue and he adjusted his pocket watch to match; apparently he had missed that idiotic 'Daylight Savings' date again during the break. That meant it was not time for his first class, but rather, it meant registration was still in progress. Shrugging out of his overcoat and scarf - both of which he draped neatly on his personal coat tree behind his desk - he spoke again "Students, I cannot say for certain, but I am mostly sure that you are all supposed to be at the Registration tables right now. Though I do not mind for you to come early to class, I doubt the Deans would much appreciate your skipping Registration. That being said, all of you are to go and, then, return."
