Tauriel looked at the ground and frowned. "I'm sorry. It would appear these are dark times for everyone," she replied gravely. Then, she tentatively slipped her hand into his, if only to feel its warmth. "We must do something to stop this," she whispered. They couldn't sit idly by while their kin and allies fell to the darkness.

Bilbo could feel several unpleasant hallucinations starting to kick in already - he was starting to feel like he was walking in circles. Just stay on the path...not as easy as it looked. Especially now that he was alone...a part of him was starting to hope the Elves found him, just so that he could get out of this forest.

He sighed and sat down on a nearby bench. Kili's gaze wavered between the Mountian where Erebor was withheld, and the Woodland realm. "Dark times..." he whispered, barley audible
