Her mother died in child-birth, her father was assassinated, and her older brother fled the District years ago.
Personality:
Ren is a very distrustful, fiery and fiesty girl. She is very stubborn and fights for what she stands for and for her life. She is very good with her hands and is very intelligent. She has created several electronic devices that are sold throughout Panem under her father's name. She is self-sufficient and hates to rely on anyone.
History:
Ren grew up pretty much alone, her father working all the time to support her and her brother always off getting into trouble. She spent her days alone in her room, tinkering with the spare parts her father brought her. When she was 10, her father was assassinated at work. Her father was the lead engineer at one of the top factories in the District, and was caught in some trouble with an engineer from another, lesser, company. That engineer hired a hit man to kill her father and steal the design he claimed to have originally came up with. Shortly after her father's death, Ren's brother was forced to flee the District to escape a rival gang. Ren was left to her own devices. She designed and sold some inventions to various companies, collecting and living off the profits. She is usually found holed up in the run-down shack she calls her home and lab, on the far east side of the District.

She is very good with her hands and anything electrical. She's very smart and a great strategist.

Jerome is a big-hearted, strong guy who cares deeply for those around him. He hates to see death, but takes wounds without complaining. He is very strong and skilled with a spear and throwing knives. Jerome is very open-minded and believes that alliances are the way to win anything, though he tends to trust the wrong people.
History:
Jerome grew up working in the potato fields of District Eleven. His mother worked at a processing factory and usually worked late, leaving him to take care of his two younger sisters, Angela, age 13, and Jess, age 7. He loves his sisters with all his heart and would do anything to protect them. He was offered an upgrade to work as a hauler for his mother's processing plant, but the coming Reaping prevented him from making any kind of decision.

He is very strong and is skilled with a spear and with throwing knives.
