The Riders of dragons (Open!)

Ashia walked up to receive her egg, her stomach twisting in both fear and anxious anticipation. The Elder handed it too her. It was a glimmering bronze color, with little flecks of gold and red on it. Earth perhaps? She wasn't sure, and, to be quite honest, didn't care. She had just been given a dragon. That was all that mattered.

~Jaye~

"Congratulations." said Jaye, his expression curious as he stared at the egg. "It seems to be a fine specimen." he commented, which was high praise, considering the monotone boy rarely said anything positive. They turned to leave, when a booming voice called Jaye's name. He froze, his face a mix of shock and disbelief. Ashia looked, surprised, at the Elder, than gave Jaye a shove toward the egg that the elder held. He took it clumsily, the white-ish blue egg being weighed and measured mentally by Jaye.
"Water." he breathed as he studied it.
"Could be Air." Ashia disagreed. Jaye shook his head.
"The chances of that are astronomical." he said simply, his eyes still glued to the spherical object.

[Piglet.]

Dahlia cradled the egg in her arms. She knew that it was a water dragon, because it had a beautiful blue tinge.She noticed some people arguing, and, not wanting to be involved, she hurried home.

[Miceeni]

"Um...mind if Bane comes along?" Forest asked. She wasn't fond of going places with people she didn't know unless family was there too. The half-brothers, seeing her accept sighed. "There goes the party" the second eldest said. "Wait. Party setup while they are out" The elder said quietly. The 3 walked off.

"Sure." Era replied. "I never said he couldn't come." Era pryed her sister of Forest and held her in Era's other arm. Being born from a blacksmith family had its perks. Era turned and began to walk. She was going to take them to her favorite place to chow down, the Bannered Mare. " What kind of dragon do you think yours is going to be?" While she was saying that her sister leaned forward and whispered "Stop flirting." Era head butted her and hissed back " I'm not flirting." How the heck did she learn that word.

"I can already tell mine is going to be a fire" Forest said. "Which just messed with even more peoples thoughts about you" Bane said. "Shut up. They can think its my fault if they want as long as they don't bother me" Forest said. "Not sure what mine will be." Bane said. He was walking beside Forest and following Era.

[Miceeni]

" it's not a good idea to let people's imaginations run wild. I used to do that as well, but it was a different story. Because I look so different from him, girls thought I was my brothers girlfriend and that lead to a lot of confusion down the road. You should tell people the truth straight up." Era sighed. "As well as that, a lot of people are afraid of my dad for no other reason then he looks scary." Era shrugged. "Normal people confuse me."

[~Sebastian's Cat~]

"Yea. I agree. When we first moved here, people thought Forest and I were together. It was settled when I got my parents to speak to them. They really are not the smartest in the world" Bane said. "And now everyone is blaming me for my parents deaths. I don't know if you heard or not, you might have, but our house was attacked by a rider on a fire dragon" Forest said. "Parents gone on the spot, my eye sight in my right eye taken. That's what Bane and my half-brothers came home to." she said then noticed she was blabbing on talking a lot more than usual. She blushed a bit embarrassed and shut up.

(Sorry for my originally bad first post. XD I had to leave and didn't have time to do better. I edited it now.)

"Come on Jaye, lets head over to the tavern. Dad's probably there. We can tell him the good news." she said, taking her brother's arm and half guiding, half dragging him a few feet before he swiped her hand away.
"It doesn't matter where our father is currently; right now we should talk to the Elders about the best way to care for the eggs." he argued stubbornly. Ashia sighed heavily.
"Your smart enough to figure it out on your own." she pointed out, though she knew it was useless. If her brother wanted to know more about something, there was no stopping him.
She let Jaye go talk to the Elders and sat beneath a big oak tree to wait.

Era nodded. " I had heard about that incident but, I didn't want to pry and upset you guys." Era's sister, noticing Forests blush squealed. "Ouch! Not in my ear if you mind." Era said rubbing her ear on her shoulder. "I'm glad you guys are at least nice-ah we're here!" They'd had arrived at the Bannered Mare. Era walked in. It was a comely place were you could eat, drink and have fun.

Forest used her free hand to make sure her eye was covered and walked in. She prayed nobody would give her trouble here. Bane followed her. They both carried their dragon eggs, not daring setting them down.

He was not surprised when his name was called. He always thought he would get one, and always said 'there is always next year', which ticked people off. Damon took his egg and walked away without saying anything. He looked at it. A red egg with brown dots on it. He smirked. "Fire" he said to himself.

When Jaye was finally satisfied with all the information he received, he motioned to Ashia to follow him.
"Where are we going now?" she asked him, a slight whine in her voice.
"Bannered Mare. Father mentioned it last night; and its close to where his new job is. Thats where he'll be." Jaye said confidently. Jaye wasn't extremely fond of his father; he was disgusted by his negligence and alcoholic tendencies, and much preferred to keep him out of their life as much as possible. However even Jaye couldn't deny him the knowledge that they had just received dragon eggs, so they started walking toward Bannered Mare.
