"I... Yeah," Rubis agreed, before she attempted to protest. "You should tell her, she's yours," She added, frowning at the idea of how distressed the she-wolf will be. Would Blanca be able to care for their puppies after she hears the news. "Ben was never able to see his own puppies." When she mentioned that, she kicked up a little cloud of dirt. "He's not even able to see them grow up like we will!" With the last word, she kicked at the dirt harder. What was she thinking, going out into battle with that tolf? It was a stupid idea, he never had the chance. Ben died saving Rubis, because Rubis thought they'd be able to go through the battle in triumpth. She was wrong, dead wrong, very dead wrong...

"Oh hush, you'll be fine in a moment." Noami muttered in a strained voice, her eyes narrowed with concentration as she focused all her energy on cleansing the poison from Leonor's wound. The stuff smelled disgusting even to her human nose and she suppressed a gag, knowing it would only worry her patient. "I can't do all of this, you'll need to get a nurse to finish patching this up." She admitted after a moment, sensing the immediate danger had passed. She still continued to work out as much of the contaminant as possible, but her healing powers were very limited.

Saranu growled from the back of his throat as Bryce spoke, deciphering his blunt wording as some form of an insult being the odd boy that he was. A bitter threat rose to his mouth and he had begun to say something that couldn't possibly be appropriate for Tamby when he froze, realizing what the angel had just implied. His gaze swiveled unbidden towards Piper, a mixture of annoyance at Bryce and relief for the oracle passing over his eyes. "Piper...?"

Thorn paused in the reply he had been about to give to Weed as he noticed Chase's approach, his eyes immediately narrowing with typical disdain. He regarded the lion hybrid more highly than most people at the school, yet that hardly said much considering what he thought of the others. Jess and Fayt immediately returned Erin's greeting and the latter Chase's as well, though Jess made a point of pretending the boy wasn't there. Thorn remained silent, looking Erin over with calculating boredom as he considered whether it was worth it to waste his time on her. "Hmph, I don't see why I should bother after warning you lot not to waste your time in this battle." He snapped, yet took hold of his staff despite this and closed his eyes briefly, muttering quick, incoherent words just loudly enough for the pair on his shoulders to hear. Typical of his preferred healing magic, the veins visible with what he was wearing no longer appeared faintly blue against his skin but rather an almost iridescent white and the wizard knew that should he open his eyes they would be a similar color. This odd sight lasted for only a brief moment before with a sudden rush the lights flushed out like doused candles and Erin's wounds were reduced to nothing but faint, unusually light scars. Thorn opened his eyes once again, panting slightly, and turned back to Weed as though nothing had happened. "My name is Thorn Brooker, and don't call me 'Mr. pretty Butterfly' again if you know what's best for you." He responded dryly, his energy returning quickly considering the little magic he'd used recently.

"Okay," Leonor responded to her suggestion, staggering up after a while. He did it slowly, whether it was with effort or to make sure he didn't get a head rush. Oddly, he did feel better, even though he was a little breathless from getting up. "You should go look for others to help out," He suggested to Noami, though he guessed she didn't like being told what to do, so he tried to tell her in the most sincere way. "I'll get there by myself," The wolf hybrid added.

Piper was leaning her back against the wall, looking at Saranu's frozen stance. "Saranu, are you okay?" She asked him, almost confused with the way he was looking like. It seemed... Not Saranu. It made Piper worry for him, even though he was shaking her crazily-almost breaking her neck. But that was out of worry for his little brother, so she can't blame him.

When Chase saw Thorn's reaction to the request, the lion sighed in exasperation. "Look-," Chase stopped when he saw Thorn doing his weird magic-thingy to Erin. This time Chase sighed in relief, seeing Erin looking better. However, the lion hybrid wasn't going to ask for Thorn to heal him-that'd be asking too much from the wizard. "Sooo... Who's this dude?" He gestered over to Weed with his broad head, his mane moving with his head.

"Kenna, can you give him a hand?" Noami wondered, mostly ignoring Leonor's reassurance. There was a very low chance he would actually make the entire trip without collapsing, and she would feel much better searching for someone else to assist if the phoenix would take care of him for her. After all, the war was over now and she was almost certain none of the cops had been stupid enough to stay around. If they had been she always had her sword and shield which, if they couldn't win her a battle, would at least fend off most foes long enough for help to arrive.

"Hmph, I'm fine." Saranu snapped, still glaring at Bryce. He didn't like the angel in the least, but if he was here to help Piper he supposed he could tolerate him for a short time. If he got too annoying, however, even the mild protection he was willing to offer Piper for protecting him wouldn't matter. "If you're fine I'm going to go find my brother." He added after a moment, glancing between Tamby and Bryce and noting that the oracle was probably more than fine with two angels watching her.

"A new student." Thorn replied vaguely, still unaware about the details of Weed himself-which, incidentally, sounds very odd- and glanced at Jess and Fayt. Both butterflies only shook their heads, neither was able to decipher what the boy's species was. "And her?" The wizard nodded in Erin's direction, a slight bight finding it's way into his voice. "Another girlfriend then, Chase? Is there a girl at this school you haven't been after?"

Piper's a Seer, not an Oracle, remember?! xD))

The wolf hybrid gave Noami a look, attempting to hide his hurt pride. Then again, he was begging for his life earlier, so he sucked it up and looked over at Kenna. Looking over the pheonix, he gave her a respectful bow-nod, finding it interesting how she's a pheonix. Let alone a pheonix hybrid, you don't see that much. "Thank you," He muttered.

Piper gave a tiny, barely noticable smile. There's Saranu again, being Saranu. "Okay, hope you find him," She replied to him very softly, not having the need to speak regularly. The room seemed tense from Saranu's annoyance with the angel, and she was just attempting to lighten it up a little. She knew it wouldn't work, but it never hurt to try.

"New student, I guess," Chase replied, giving a shrug, then flinching from his hurt shoulder. "Wellll, I don't know, I think there's a very... small amount of girls. Acutally..." The lion hybrid looked at Erin. Did he even start flirting with her, yet? No, probably from being in battle with her and worrying about Shade. "She's an exception... For now." With that, Chase gave the lioness a wink. There we go, Chase thought.

Tyler nodded, swallowing nervously. He nodded silently as she worked herself up a little, pulling her into another hug to calm not only her, but him down as well -how was one supposed to tell someone their partner had died?

Erin smiled gratefully as all her wounds were instantly healed. "That you very much," she said, gratitude in her voice. She grinned a little at the guess on who she was, shaking her head slightly. "I'm Erin." she informed the warlock. Her grin widened as the other lion winked at her, and she gave a quick chuckle; her eyes were a bit distant, as if remembering something, but they were back to normal in an instant.

Kenna nodded, going over to the boy to help support him. "You are welcome," she responded with a tiny smile.

Tamby looked up at Saranu from where she was sitting next to Piper. "Good luck," she added, still slightly wary of him after what he had done to Piper. She could tell that he seemed to regret hurting her though, so she wasn't too mad.

((Haha, I'm afraid to use more of my characters. xD How about Jackie meets up with one of your characters. Oh my god, I got to start getting rid of people. I'm afraid of the results. D:))

Hugging him back tightly, Rubis hid her face in his chest. Somehow, this embrace seemed to calm her a little, or at least distract her from her thoughts. She wrapped her arms around him a little tighter, breathing out a heavy sigh on him. "Oh, what are we gonna do?" She whispered against him, shaking her head a little. "Should we look for Ben?" She suggested. At first, a little hope that he might be alive came to her mind, but she shot down that false hope instantly. It was no use to hurt herself more.

"Then let's go," Leonor said, taking steady, slow steps foreward. He was intent on where he was going, but the location of the infirmary slipped his mind. "Where do we go?" He asked Kenna. There was no use to be all macho, even if it would be for a few seconds.

Chase felt a little bit of accomplishment at Erin's grin, then tilted his head a little at her far off look. Turning to his human form, he looked back at Thorn, then the new guy and back at Erin. "Hmm, did I ever see you in your human form, mystery woman?" He asked her, a wicked grin on his face.

Tyler hesitated slightly, saying, "We should probably look for him, if only a little bit. Just so we know where he is. And if we don't find him now, we or someone will be able to find him later." He looked down at her, trying to read her face. "Is... is there any possibility that he is still alive?" he asked, pretty sure she had been the last one with him.

Kenna smiled a little more. "This way," she said, gently leading him towards where the infirmary was.

"Hmmph. I actually don't think you have," Erin said, trying to think back to whether they had seen each other human yet. She shrugged, turning back into her red haired self. She looked over Chase, resting on his wide grin and returning it with one of her own. She glanced over towards Thorn and the other guy; after sensing the dislike between Chase and Thorn, she figured Chase was more -or -less blocking him out right now to get on his nerves or something. Ehh, she didn't care. It wasn't her concern.

Looking at Tyler in the eyes, Rubis swallowed away the lump in her throat and looked away. "No..." She croaked, focusing on the ground. "He's dead, I'm sure of that." It was all so fast, seeing him yelp whenever they'd hit him, and snarl and go back into the fray. It was all for Rubis, and she failed to help him. She moved a hand away from Tyler to wipe away a tear with her sleeve. All she could feel was guilt. She had laid there in the dirt when Ben fought for his life and hers. Ben had been so brave for her and for him. Losing Ben was worse for Rubis than losing her first three boyfriends. "My little Benny..." She whimpered, burying her face in Tyler's chest again, "I don't think I can look for him, I don't want to see him like that..." Rubis guessed his body would be broken and bloody instead of full of vigor and strong.

Chase gave her a one-over, giving her a considering look. "Hmmm, you remind me so much of Rubis, it's scary. Scary in a hot way, I think," He chuckled, though he was sort of confused at the same time. You don't see hair like that on everyone, and that facial structure... "I really need to show you to Rubis," Chase decided, awe-struck, "You two must be long-lost sisters or something."

Tyler held her close, nodding -he felt a little choked up himself. "we don't have to look for him then, if you don't want to," he whispered reassuringly.

"Oh, really?" Erin purred, grinning and teasing him. "Well, it is said everyone has a secret long lost twin SOMEWHERE in the world," she giggled; this would be interesting... "Oh! I wonder where my brother is," she said, worry tinging her voice as she glanced to the sides.
