Alhar froze, a screech of some creature echoed through the air. There was a quick hissing noise and his sword was out in his hands, he looked about wildly, trying to find what had made the dreadful sound. He stepped out in front of Sae, if anything were to come it would attack him first. He glared into the shadows of the wood, "Come out!" he shouted, is voice eching through the forest, but thw dead trees made is sound hollow and dead. He stood tall and drove his sword point into the ground, nto being able to hold it up for much of a time. He rested his hands on the hilt, ready to attack if the moment came.

Ishara MsituKneeling by the boar's dead boy, Ishara heard a noise of sliding metal. Not a noise you hear often in this woods of mystery. No, this was defiantly not typical and even more unusually when a voice soon shouted after it. Staying froze for a few seconds after the voice, just listening to see if it came again. When it did not, she grabbed the boar and swung it over her shoulder. Lifting it strongly so as not to let it fall, Ishara looked around, her deep forest green eyes scanned the forest, searching for an owner of the voice. None was came but she knew the direction of the owner still. She heard the metal return. A sword, she thought. It had been a while since she saw a sword. And never had she held one. Again she froze for a few seconds. Soon though she took off, running softly and silently as she could. With the wait of the boar, her feet did crunch upon some dry leaves. However the sound could be mistaken as that of an animal crossing the forest floor or at least that is what Ishara hoped whoever was watching thought it was.

.:Sae:.
Sae nodded slightly as she listened to Alhar. It sounded pretty cool, but she didn't know if she would get along with the other dragonkin. Then again, she never got along with other Dragonkin. She flinched when she heard the noise and looked towards the forest. It sounded like an animal dieing. Sae tugged on Alhar's hand. "It's probably just a predator. C'mon before it turns on us." She murmured, rustling her wings.
.:Leandra:.
The little girl followed after the group quietly, but she mostly remained behing Ike. She looked at the wood elf and Sulent. They both seemed to be having a problem with each other. Leandra picked up one of the flowers the Sulent had been admiring and walked over to the Sulent. She held out the flower and smiled, hoping to cheer her up.

Alhar stood for a moment longer and then seathed his sword "Perhaps," he muttered. He make sure the sword remain loss in it's seath, if what ever it was did come back he wanted to be ready. He smiled at her, "Yes, we should get going. I'm hoping we can reach the mists the necromancer told us about by nightfall and go through the next morning." he gently pulled her along the path, carful not to hurt her. "What is it like to be an assassin?" he had always wondered. It was his job to kill assassins, to kill Sae and other people od shadow. He had always wondered about the people who's lives he had taken, why they had done the same to others.

Ash glanced at Leendra, noticing the flowers that she was offering. She smiled warmly, taking them from her gently. "Thank you..." she murmured very quietly, kissing the girl's cheek gently before pulling back with a smile. She slowly began weaving the flowers into her long black hair as they walked, rather grateful that the little girl had given her something else to focus on besides Anamerak, as she couldn't think straight when he was on her mind, for many different reasons.

Night hissed in frustration. She hated these kind of assignments. Why did she have to get information! It would be so much easier just to kill him! Sith, the dark bladed knife strapped to her hip, glowed with ruby light at the thoughts running through it's mistress's mind. Would that the world of blood and trickery was that easy. Would that life wase as clear as an afternoon sky; you got told you who to murder, you did it, you got paid. An easy and simple way to make a living.
But the world isn't that simple. You had to make it look like you had been hired by this person, or that this assassin had done it, or that it was a suicide. Or you had to get this information, or you had to make it last a long time, or you had to use poison or this cursed dagger or this or that or or or.
Night had to get information. She had to travel, make the target believe her a friend. The only reason she had taken the job was the fact that she had been offered an exuberant amount of money. Money: the only thing that kept the world going. The only things that made anything worth while were Blood and Money. Money and Blood. What else could there be that could possibly be better that those to things.
Night stepped onto the road.
i am not the night but the night begins to look like me

.:Sae:.
Sae looked towards the earth, unsure about how to answer that question. It was an innocent enough question but one she really didn't want to answer. The rogue looked up at Alhar and shrugged slighly. "I am an assassin no longer. I regret what I did before.." She murmure softly, but sincerely. Guilt resurfaced and she took a deep breath. She felt horribe because killing people was. Hell, she rather enjoyed the hunt, the chase and eventually the kill. It was exileration. She left because of Mallik. He was her first love, and had showed compassion were she had not. He taught her mercy and how to love. She only wished she could've saved him.
Sae snapped out of her reverie when she noticed someone step into the road. She would have dismissed it as a traveler if it wasn't for the glint of metal that caught her eye. She looked up and froze when she realized it was another assassin. Sae immediatly drew her twin blades and stared down the other assassin, daring her to attack.

Ishara MsituBoar still slung over her shoulder, Ishara made her way to a large older tree nearby. The tree had a giant hole missing out of the bottom. It was a wonder the tree hadn't fallen over yet from rot and lack of a good bottom support. Placing the boar inside, Ishara looked around. She wasn't far from where she heard the first sword sliding against a sheath, so she wasn't exactly surprise when she heard it again. Thinking it may be the same person she turned around trying to detect where the sound was coming from now. It didn't sound extremely close to her yet it wasn't super far away either and it had moved now... more to the south it seemed. Not sure what to do, being as she hadn't come across another person in... well exactly three years almost. She could remember every detail. It had been a ranger. They had met in the same pathway, shooting arrows at the same time at the same deer. When Ishara went to retrieve the deer she stopped a foot away from the deer just as the ranger did on the other side. The ranger knew what she was and she knew what it was as they looked each other in the eyes. Neither moved for a while then finally the ranger nodded its head toward her, saying she could take the meal but she didn't take it. Instead she had backed away and let him have it as she watched in silence. She knew he needed it more than her. For a second, Ishara wondered if this was the same person but the ranger hadn't carried a sword. Curiosity and fear flooded through her and for a bit she did not know whether to run, hide, or spy.

Alhar tried to speak but he caugh movement at the corner of his eye and his sword was out again, as quick as a flash. He held his blade ahead of him, sliding a foot behind him to help support the blades great weight. He glared at the assassin standing in front of them. If this assassin was here to hurt Sae she wouldn't get anywhere near close enough. Alhar's eye narrowed "Who are you and why are you here?" he bellowed, shouting over the distance.
