Sparrow followed her out of the tavern, the cool evening breeze tossing her white hair slightly as her skirts brushed against the worn path beneath her feet. Cassia snatched a small lantern from a nearby hook on the doorpost. Sparrow frowned slightly. The tiny flame would afford them little light, but it was better than nothing. It was the time of the day when the sun seemed to slip underneath the horizon within seconds, and at any moment they would be swallowed in blackness, and the flame would be the only light they had. When Cassia got her horse from the stables, Sparrow looked the beast up and down. He wasn't an uncommon type of horse, but he was rather impressive beast nonetheless. His dark coat would be useful in blending into the shadows that were falling though, unlike her own horse. She smiled when Cassia inquired about the horse. Sparrow whistled a low melody into the air, and moments later Kai, the spotted mare, appeared with Hawk. Sparrow crouched down and cupped Hawk's face in her hands. "I'm sorry, love," she crooned to the dog. "But we're going to be riding too fast for you to keep up. I'll be back here soon though, I promise." She stood up again, the dog slinking away back into the shadows with a slight air of dejection as Sparrow stroked the neck of her horse. "Are we ready to head out?"

"This is ridiculous." Serena muttered, watching the scene develop in front of her eyes. "Dumb and disrespectful. I'm happy I don't have to marry that guy." Serena was mainly complaining to herself, but knew her siblings would hear. She didn't mind that. She knew they would probably agree with her. Serena was sure Crystal would loose her job and would probably be banned from Elyadon and Avalon. And she had thought Alexander was one of the smarter royals. She felt sorry for Kaleb and his family. It was one drama after another right now. The girl frowned deeply as she hesistated if she should check on KC, but he seemed to control himself quite well. Hearing Remmington, Serena rolled her eyes. No commotion. It was a tad bit late to prevent that.

"Oh my god, I have to do something," Arabella said shifting in her seat. She looked around the room, panic written all over her face. She was petrified as to what they might do to Crystal just because of Alexander's stupidity. Why would she agree to this? Didn't she know that they'd all be outraged? she thought. "Serena, we can't just sit by and let them tear her to pieces because he made a mistake," she said lowering her voice. Sudden anger rose inside of her. "You can't just sit by and watch this happen can you?"

"Yes I can and I will." Serena replied to Arabella. "Every person in this whole country with a brain knows this is inappropiate. Alexander has been taught since young age a prince should not fall in love with a maid. I don't care how badly they are in love, it is just selfish of them to do this. To embarras KC's family. To disrespect Aiden like this. Kaleb warned Alexander a few hours ago they had to bse careful. This all is simply ridiculous and I won't support it in any way. I don't care if Crystal works at Elyadon. Honestly, I don't care for those persons at all. They were aware of the consequenses and you can't call this a mistake. Even if it was you or Tristan who walked in with some kind of peasant I would react like this. After everything his family has done for him he treats them like this? I'm sorry, Arabella, but I think the decision of the Avalon king about this will be the best, and I'll refuse to help them."

"I don't disagree that it's wrong!" she said her temper gradually on the rise. I can't believe you, she thought, her gaze growing hostile. "But Crystal would not be here if he hadn't persuaded her to be. She is innocent and she'll be the one that takes the blame for it, because she's not a noble! The poorer man always takes the fall, even if he's the innocent one. And do you know why?" She paused waiting for some kind of reply, then plunged forwards. "Because you said it yourself!" she continued. "Nobility doesn't care for them at all. They want what's best for their country and their people, so they say, well I say ha!" She stared over at KC after throwing her napkin at the table in anger; he knew what she was saying with her eyes. "If not for my promise," she swore softly.

Alexander was angry. No, enraged with a fiery indignation against his family. So angry that blood slowly began to drip from his hands because of his nails digging into the palm of the fist he was making. He grabbed Crystal's hand and lifted her to her feet a bit too gruffly. "I do not in the slightest care if you plunge me into the latest gossip, scowl at me, or even disown me from this family. But I am telling you now, if you ever dare do any of this to my dear Crystal, I will have no mercy. None of this leaves this room until the we wed. Do you understand?" he said gritting his teeth. "I am your kin or friend and a royal so even if I choose to make this young girl's life a fairy tale I'd ask that you would respect that and still give me the respect I deserve. Do NOT interfere in my affairs and I will not in yours. If this is the wrong decision then I take it upon my head but I know it is not. Thank You. Now can we please get started with everything?; and if you wish I can ask m'lady to stand outside."
