((Alright, so I moved Chaos and Mockingjay to the districts, and removed their M/S/PT for the time being. Because of this, I have switched around the people that were playing theirs to be the ones playing the ones that they were playing, so double check that you have the correct M/S/PT.
Alright, feel free to start posting now! Life in the districts will be starting the morning after the reapings, tributes will start preparing for the tribute parade. Stylists should go to their own prep areas, seperated by district, and prep teams can get to work on their tributes. Mentors are currently gathered in the staging room, milling amongst each other and waiting for their tributes. Drinks of all varieties are being served by avoxes.))
Vindi Lake~District 12 Stylist, Male tribute and Inka Kinstone~District 12 Stylist, Female tribute
"You probably can't wait to see what I've done for the boy we've got this year darling." Vindi said, walking into the room where Inka was already starting on the dress for the girl she had been assigned. Her accent was thick, and anyone could tell that she was bragging about her design.
Inka rolled her eyes at her fellow district 12 stylist, unable to think anything positive for this rare occasion. Vindi would be like this until the tributes went into the arena, and it was the one time that Inka couldn't stand her. "Good for you. I'm sure they'll love it." She said pleasantly, trying to make the best of the situation. Trying to contradict Vindi earned you nothing but a frown and possibly a nasty rumor spread about the entire capitol. Inka's dress was coming along nicely, a simple grey dress that had black rhinestones along the neck line and every seam. It's belt was coated in tiny black rhinestones as well.
Vindi looked sceptical about Inka's design. Though it was elagant, it was far to simple for her liking. No, she had prepared a black suit with black rhinestones on it, that way her tribute would sparkle in the light and attract all the attention. Her tribute would wear a black rhinestone covered helmet as well, and carry a polished pick-ax on his shoulder. It would be all the rage.
Xelia Fonad~District 6 stylist, Male tribute
When Xelia entered the district 6 stylist prep area, she immediately looked around for Lilly. She hoped that the two of them could do something together this year, since the last year had seen two very different district 6 tributes. Her plan was to make her tribute into a feathered car, the novelty of it would hopefully gain her tribute some attention. After all, feathers went well on everything. In a way, she could even link feathers to the transportation theme of the district, after all, birds do fly right?
Suntia Alisha~District 1 stylist, Female tribute
Suntia walked calmly to her room, and began the last alterations that would make her dress fit her tribute. All year she had worked on making gems that not only sparkled, but glowed. The dress was a simple thing really, a shimmery cream fabric formed the underlayer, the part that actually held the dress together, and on the outside was a light peach see through fabric inlaid with red, orange, and yellow glowing gems on top of her tributes head she would place a glowing diamond tiara. The colored gems started at the bottom of the dress with the red, and gradually changed to yellow at the top. Did I mention that it is sleeveless, well it is. Glowing ruby bracelets would adorn her tributes arms, and if the girl didn't mind, she had a beautiful pair of glowing diamond earings that she could use if the girl didn't mind having her ears pierced. Unless she had them already, then the earings would be essential. A glowing ruby ring would be on her tributes right fourth finger, and she was certain the girl would be stunningly beautiful.
Daniel Baker~District 7 mentor, Female tribute, 15th victor and Brandon Angeles~ District 6 mentor, Female tribute, 17th victor and Marco Price~District 1 mentor, Female tribute, 16th victor
Daniel Baker smiled and laughed, joking with Marco as they sipped on their drinks. Daniel's was some sort of pink cocktail, and he was surprised to find that it was surprisingly tangy, almost like lemonade. He had already reminded himself not to drink too much, since he didn't want to be tipsy for the tribute parade. He was good at not drinking too much though, he limited himself to only one alcoholic beverage. After this he would drink coffee.
Marco started on a second joke, when he saw how much Daniel loved the last one. He was drinking sweet passionfruit flavored tea, since he didn't feel like drinking alcohol. He knew that he wouldn't be odd if he did, despite the fact that he was 19, but he felt it better to wait until he was 21. Let it be legal first. was his logic on the matter.
Brandon sulked near the two laughing victors, halfway wishing he had some friends here. But no, he had to remind himself that these people were all killers, just like him, and that he didn't want to be friends with them, because to him, they were stilll competition. They wanted more attention to get more money, which was essentially the only thing left for him to do in life, gain attention. But he wasn't going to let the capitol win like that. They made him a killer, he wouldn't let himself become a popular one.
Sage Moor, Thorn Lewis, and Rose Garcia the District 3 Female tribute Prep team
Sage was the first on his stage, the girl he would be working with was lying on the table awaiting his arrival. "Hello, I'm Sage Moor." He said, smiling into her face. "The one that doesn't speak much is Thorn Lewis. And Rose Garcia is the only woman amongst us." He said, introducing his co-workers.
"Hello!" Rose said softly, "I'll be working on your face. Thorny's in charge of your hair dear. If he pulls too hard tell me and I'll kick him for you." She said, though she was, of course joking about the kicking part. Though she wasn't above scowling.
Thorn managed a strained smile to the tribute, before he moved out of her sight to work with the girl's hair, passing both Sage and Rose murderous glares.
"Old pokey Thorn. As always." Rose muttered under her breath at the supply station. She didn't like being glared at. She grabbed a washcloth and got it wet with warm water, then started to clean the girl's face. "So what's your name dear?" She said over Sage's incessant babble, she already knew the girl's name of course, it just seemed odd not to ask it. Perhaps there was a nickname she liked to be called or something, one never did know.
Sage got to work with waxing the girl's legs right away. Just as Rose asked what the girl's name was, he pulled off the first strip of paper, along with all the girl's hair from beneath that strip.
Smode Askins, Lusa Deeka, and Zata Twist the District 5 Male tribute Prep Team
"Remember what Landa said Zata, no coloring on the tribute." Smode said, deftly adjusting his leather jacket. As the self appointed leader of this team, he took it upon himself when one of his women did something wrong.
"Can it Smode." Zata snapped back. She hated how Smode always acted like he was the stylist not Landa. She knew her instructions, she wasn't going to break them. "You're not in charge here." She rolled her eyes, and smiled to their tribute.
"What's favorite color sweety!?" Lusa said, her voice almost as bubbly as her hair. Today it was all done up special, she wouldn't be seen in public at the Hunger Games any other way. "Isn't it great! I mean, you're in the Hunger Games!" Lusa's voice was so very sweet, she loved her tributes, they were always so brave in the games. She got to work immediatly on his hair, since hair was her specialty.
Lula Blitz, Billen Exchequer, and Cillian Kundal the District 9 Male tribute Prep Team
Billen scratched his head of grass idly, watching as Cillian and Lula got to work. He was assigned to do the face, but he thought it best to let the other two work without him in their way. Besides, they had two hours until they stylists were due to report with the outfits.
Cillian simply muttered as he leaned over the boy's head, working on his hair. He hadn't bothered to learn the kid's name, but he had spent hours looking over the images of the boy's hair. He knew exactly how it would look best.
"So, how did you like the ride over?" Lula asked, starting her work with waxing John's legs. She didn't usually speak this much, but with all of Cillian's muttering over the boy's head, she thought talking might help him relax a bit. Cillian's muttering could get to anyone, or so Lula was convinced.
Kermit Kalls, Riik Sandpiper, and Caliban Twelve the District 12 Male tribute Prep Team
Caliban was the first to arrive on scene with the District 12 boy, Ender. His orange hair was sticking up in eight different directions today, a feat he was quite proud of. He immediately started for the wax, every prep team's best friend. He wasn't used to working on such hairy people, after all, it had been a year since he had done so. "I'm Caliban." Was his quick introduction as he passed by the boy's head.
"I'm Riik, it's very nice to see you in person Ender." Riik said, trying to mimic the District 12 accent. She did an alright job, hopefully it helped her seem more normal to her tribute.
"I'm Kermit." Kermit replied, smiling largly. "Did Vindi want us to do makeup too?" Kermit said, eyeing the various selections of color, his eyes landing finally on the greens. Every shade Kermit could think of was there, he hoped Vindi had told someone to do makeup.
"No, just foundation. Vindi wants to tone his skin to a slightly lighter shade, she said it would help with the outfit." Riik said softly, carefully working on shaping Ender's eyebrows.
Jonnan Reed ~ District 2
Jonnan sat on her table, listening to the range of voices she heard around her as she waited for her prep team. Everyone she could make out had the capital accent, and lots of them were high and shrill. Jonnan didn't like it. She really hoped that she would be able to carry a sword in her chariot as she went out in the parade. After all, it was her prime weapon. She couldn't wait to see what outfit her stylist had made for her, and her hopes were high.
Mitzel Talla ~ District 4
Mitzel smiled as he waited for his prep team to arrive. He couldn't wait to see if they were as bubbly as everyone had always said prep teams were. So far, his journey from District 4 couldn't have gone better. He liked his mentor, on the way here they had got on well. He just hoped his stylist would be as good. He wasn't entirely sure about the whole 'wear whatever they put you in' thing, since he didn't want his games to be ruined by a bad outfit, but he supposed even a bad outfit was better than going naked. Whatever, right?
Ruka Cossey ~ District 8
Ruka was nervous when he heard other prep teams arrive. He had never seen a professional in matters of beauty, let alone be bombarded by three at once. He wasn't sure if he should try to crack a witty joke or if he should just stay silent. He was overwhellmed by everything here, he felt like he was about to cry, laugh, and run all at the same time. He was on his way to death, and he knew it, so why was he unable to enjoy his last few days of freedom. In only a few hours, his life would be under public eye for the rest of his life, and he was not ready for it.
Cassalia Finnin ~ District 11
Cass was nervous, and though she was shaking, she felt that it was a good nervous. She should be nervous right now after all, she was about to be served on a plater to the capitol. She thought of her nerves as a sign that she was still alive and functioning. As long as she was nervous, she could keep going, right? She tried to smile, but found that she couldn't, so she closed her eyes and focused on slowing her heartbeat. Afterall, she didn't really want others to see her like this.
Starbase Typhon is a roleplay run by me, off site. It is Star Trek based (but not the new movies, as you will see) and it definetly needs people who are willing to be active, write with great grammar, and of course, are semi-literate or above. Format is play by Nova, which involves multi-person posts that are a different way of doing things that here of CS. But it's lots of fun, and we need long term people who will help us complete our missions. As the commanding officer of Typhon, I invite anyone who would like to give it a try to please apply! (Warning that quality of applications is strictly judged. Very strictly judged.) The link is in the image.
