Vincent looked towards Aome, not sure what she meant by we have to talk. He followed her to the edge of the pond, and sat down. He looked back at Entei, and watched as he nodded towards him. Vincent turned around again, his gaze down again.

Atome pulled her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around her legs. She sighed. "I know you've had a...no so pleasant past." She reached up, twirling a strand of dark red hair around one finger. She glanced over at him. "I like you, and I'd like to know what goes on through you mind." She knew he wouldn't be willing to share everything right away, but she was patient. "It's not like I expect you to pour your heart and soul out to me right this moment." She paused. "But...if you're willing to share, then I'm willing to share too." She stopped again, and rubbed the back of her neck. "Only if you want to of course." She really wanted this friendship to work, and she had a feeling that the more they understood and knew about each other then the better it would work out. She sat there nervously waiting for his response.

Vincent sighed, and and pulled one knee close to his chest, and let the other stay straight out in front of him. He rested his arm on top of his raised knee, and gazed towards Atome thoughtfully. "Well, for starters, my Father was killed in front of me." He paused for a second, and let out a long breath a little nervous to be telling this to someone. "After he passed away, A bunch of my "Friends" had me doing things for them, saying they could bring my father back for me. Being the gullible person I was then, I ran around, buying them hings, catching them pokemon, doing everything. When I asked when they would bring him back, they laughed and asked "You think we could really do that?" and left me." He stopped, and looked down again.

Atome listened quietly, and glared at the ground. "That was a horrid thing to do." She didn't quite know what to say about his father dying, and right in front of him too. She knew how that felt, all too well in fact. She glanced at him. "Well, promise is a promise, what do you want to know about me?" She waited and began to mess with her hair again. She looked back at Raoul, and he seemed to be asleep, just like Blaze.

Vincent nodded and said solemnly "Yeah, so now I can't trust people easily." He shivered slightly from the cool night air. He paused for a moment. "Anything you're comfortable enough telling." He looked back when she did, and noticed Entei on the verge of sleep, and Raoul and Blaze seemed to be sleeping.

[[I'll be right back, I'm gonna see if I can play a creepy game, plus Super wants to watch me, xDD]]

Atome thought for a second. "Well....my mother and grandmother raised me." She looked at him. "My father left us when I was six, which was for the best I suppose. He tried taking me with him." She paused. "He beat my mother a lot." Atome began picking at some dirt on her shoes. "My mother was the one who always told me men were evil, and she didn't show me affection very often." She began to rock back and forth slowly, almost thoughtfully. "I'd have to say I loved my grandmother much more than either of my parents. She....died though." She glance at him, her eyes going dark. "She died in a fire, in which my mother was almost killed. My grandmother was a great breeder, and she was the one to give me Blaze as an egg." Her eyes dropped to the ground. She could remember that night clearly. Fire blazed through the house, Atome was wandering around calling for her grandmother. She saw her, standing in the hallway, then suddenly pieces of the roof fell on her, burying her under a large pile of wood and plaster, on fire as well. She closed her eyes and shook her head. "Blaze saved me from the fire when he was just a Growlithe." She looked back at her golden pelted friend with love lighting her eyes a bit.
"So...." She sighed heavily. "My mother and me left. My father, I always blamed him for the fire. He had visited that night and had gotten into a fight with my Mother and Grandmother. I haven't seen him since that night." Shivering, Atome scooted closer for warmth.

Vincent nodded. He looked down and asked softly "So that explains your fear of fire?" He didn't want to be rude, but he guessed it was the only explanation. He gently put an arm around her shoulder, and pulled her a bit closer, since she was shivering, and cold. His eyes stayed down, then asked also trying to be polite "Is that also why Blaze is so over-protecive over you? So nothing happens?"

[[Bleh, came back for a few minutes, I'm too scared to play the game, so Super is playing for me, xDD]]

"Yeah you could say that." She didn't know what else to say, but all that she had said left her feeling lighter than before. She blushed a bit, but let him move her closer. "So what happened back there in the woods?" She questioned quietly, turning her face away to hide her reddening cheeks. She fidgeted under his arm slightly.

Vincent looked down for a moment, then looked at Atome, seriousness in his eyes. "Well, I had a sudden flashback. From when I was a kid. I had gone into the forest outside of my house, and while enjoying the scenery, I had gotten lost. I was wandering for a while, getting scratched up, and getting bruises;But when it was beginning to get dark, I made a small bed out of leaves. The next morning, I finally found my way out. When I returned home, my mom hadn't noticed I was missing for the night. So I left again, and stayed overnight in the forest again, but close enough that I knew my way back home." He paused for a moment, then continued. "When I came home the next day, My mom wasn't home. First I thought she had left to contact someone about her missing son. But a few minutes later, she had come home from the mart. I was severely beaten for being gone for the entire night." He stopped for a moment and then asked "Remember the burn scar I had? That was from her."

Atome looked up at him, her eyes wide. "That was from her?" That was a ridiculous thing for a mother to do, even if she was worried about her kid. "That is just...I don't even know what to say." She blinked several times. "I'm sorry that happened to you." She was shocked, and sad at the same time. She smiled up at him. "Too bad we didn't become friends back then..." She smirked. "You know I tried running away once?"
