"There, she's gone." She sighs, rolling her eyes at the comment about Xudiul wanting her soul. She walks over to the bed and sits down, thinking about the fact the the world is going to end. Cori runs a hand through her hair, letting out another sigh. "So, what now?" She looks up at Xudiul.

Avala narrowed her eyes. "So you just happened to be in the same place the killings happened, right after the most recent one? Just because you're a crossroads demon doesn't mean you can't kill. Why should I trust what you say?"

"well, we obviously have to kill that hunter out there." xudiul said matter-of-factly. "she didn't leave; i didn't hear a car. one way or another she's going to get her grubby hunter hands on my sweet demon soul. that's not how i want to go, so we should kill her. you agree?" she asked seriously.

"I'm fine," Liliana snarled, suddenly defencive once more. "And even if I wasn't, I'm not taking any chances with the likes of you." Though she'd been quite amicable (for her, anyways) so far, she didn't trust the demon one bit and there was no way in Hell - or Heaven, for that matter - that she was letting it heal her. In her experience, demons never did anything that didn't benefit themselves in some way or form. "Look. You've said what you came to say - now leave me alone."

"Look honey. There's absolutely no reason you should believe what I have to say. I get it - you're a goody-two-shoes angel and I'm a big bad demon." Val flashed the angel a sheepish grin. "We can't help what we are. Besides, do you think I would kill anyone if there wasn't something in it for me?" She raised an eyebrow, not bothering to wait for a response. "Well, the answer is no. And besides, I hate messes, and death is just..." She shuddered for effect. "...so distasteful, you know?"

She holds her hands up defensively though it's only for show, "Calm down, Blondie. Look. I was only offering because right now there are bigger problems at hand than me. If you don't want help, fine, be that way. I'll either find some of Heaven's pets or another hunter. Well assuming you don't turn on me and try to exorcise me." Rising to her feet she moves towards the door anyway, not letting her gaze leave the hunter.

Sighing softly, she stares up at the sky thoughtfully. The world was ending. Something about that just...it kind of went over her head. Was it really worth being the sorry excuse for a hunter she was if everything was falling apart anyway? Maybe she could sell her soul just because.

Avala lowered the blade slightly. "How about this. If you help me find the real killer, you're off the hook and I don't kill you." She grimaced at the growling hell hound. "And tell your little devil dog there to back off. I'd prefer my vessel stay bite and clawmark-free. You understand."

"I've got my own problems to worry about." Liliana instantly regretted the words for how selfish they sounded. "Look. What I meant was..." she trailed off, searching for the right phrasing. "...I'm definitely going to try and do something about this... this.. God's sister thing, but I also need to finish something... more personal. You know, preferably before the world ends." She stopped there, having no intention on delving into her past with a white-eyed demon, of all things. "But there's still no way I'm letting you heal me with your demonic powers or whatever the hell you were talking about." She retained a firm hold on her knife although she knew she wouldn't use it against a demon possessing a child. Nonetheless, it made her feel safer; less vulnerable.

"Hey, no problem," Val chuckled nervously. "As long as Grimm an' I make it out alive, we'll help find whoever - or whatever - is doing this." She whistled sharply, letting the hellhound know to leave the angel alone. Grimm immediately ceased growling and became almost docile, returning to his master's side quite calmly.

"Okay, we can't kill her. If she tries to kill you, I'll stop her. I may be a hunter but since we have know each other, you might have grown on me." Cori smiles lightly and rubs the back of her neck.

Avala lowered her blade, although she didn't put it away just yet, and muffled her grace again. "Okay, then," she said. "First off, do you know of any other demons around here?" As she talked, she quickly texted Áine. 'Found a demon. prooooobly not killer. going to help us.'

"Uhh... Val trailed off, unsettled in the presence of someone who could smite her at any given moment. "To be honest, I just barely got here," she admitted. "Just teleported to a random spot, and this just happened to be the place." She seemed to stop and think for a moment before continuing. "If I had to guess, I'd probably just say its one of your run-of-the-mill black-eyed demons causing havoc as usual, but it could be one of the big baddies Amara accidentally busted out when she was released."
