-Tom, it's okay, I'm sure it will be fun to work with your brother.-she said trying to calm him down a bit.-And I'm sure you will have fun with your new partner.-she nodded.-Come on Dex, let's go to our lab. I'm sure we were supposed to be working already.-again she pulled her shirt a bit. It will definitely be interesting to work with Tom's brother. To see are they alike or, as he said, completely different.

For a few moments there was silence and three of them just kept stareing at each other. She knew that Tom probably was jelaous and a bit mad because she won't work with him from now on, but maybe that was better. After all that happened yesterday this was like a gift from the heavens...At least she tought so...

"that's silly" Shen didn't believe it. No, she didn't want to believe it. "why would you believe such a thing?" she stood up and soon began pacing "do we have proof?"

Felix sighed. "Zia shot Dex. She was probably starteled...the kid are probably doing this for fun...but we must tell them that it is wrong to joing a group of rebels thats against our family just for fun is very dangerous...I don;t know why they would do this, i thought what they had would be enough..." Felix said. He denied the posibility that his children simply didn;t agree with him.

Tom calmed down. "Alright, just be nice to her, okay?" Tom said. "Why, of course, why would you ever dbought me?" Dex smirked. Tom ignored his brothers smirk and glanced at Nina. "Alright, just...just...never mind..." Tom siad. "Good luck." He smiled as they went to their office.

He went to his office and waited ofr his partner as he began the paperwork.

Dex look at Nina as he did the paperwork. "You seem nervous, dear, do you nee a break? A cup of coffe? I'll take care of things here..." He said, hiding his face behind a piece of paper as he sipped his coffe.

-No, I don't need a break.-she sighed moving around in her chair.-And please don't call me dear, I have a name.-she coughed. It was still weird to be around him, esspecialy knowing how good he is with the king and how he isn't good with Tom. She will get used to this new surroundings, after a while. Yes, for sure she will. But right now she wanted to ask him a lot of questions about this new lab and work and everything but they didn't know eachother that well so she will wait until gain confidence to talk to him. Talk to him longer that two or three words.

Maybe he won't turn out that bad after all, maybe Tom described him like that because they are brothers, and that kind of relationship is often...bad? Yes, bad.
Hoping for the best but expecting the worst...

"Sorry..." Dex said. His voice seemed sincire. He sighed. "I forgot to take my shots today.." he wispered to himself. "Well, I'll take them on the next break..." he went on, muttering to himself. This was teh first time in his life that he had forgoten to take his shots.

-I forgot to take them too...-she sighed pretty angry.-Again!-she yelled.-Is that some side effect? I keep forgetting stuff and my brain is in such a mess, I feel like a 85-year old! And why are we suddenly taking 2 shots instead of one?-she said seriouslly calming her voice.-I know you know something about it, you are in one of the highest ranks here in the lab. And don't worry, I am your partner and I would never tell your secrets.-again, a lie. Something like this? She would sure tell it, the problem was she didn't have anyone to tell it to. Not actually a problem, it was luck for Dex.

Dex sighed. "Not, it's not a side effect..." He lied, he had to, if he told her anything, the king would kill him, quite literaly. ANd he didnt really want to tell her, after all,, she wasn't that trustworthy...yet...perhaps he would tell her, one day, when she was as trustworthy as he was.

Theis "side effect" wasn;t suposed to work so quickly, however. SHe must have been taking the shots improperly.

"The reason you're feeling like that is probably because you take both shots at the same time...you're suposed to take on in the morning, and one at night, preferably, before you go to sleep. " Dex said as he took out a shot and injected himself.

-Really? Oh...-she looked down at the floor, now the tiles were different and she missed her old floor tiles.-Well, thank you for telling me.-tho she just found out about it and still being aware that she didn't take one, the only thing she could think about were tiles. So many times she was lost and didn't know what to do with herself while wating for some tests to be done or just having and awkward moment with her toughts she would look at them. The pale color would calm her down and almost putting her to sleep and no matter this was the same color because they weren't the same tiles.
Snap out of it! She slapped herself mentally and got back on paperwork not taking a shot. It can be done later...

Dex smiled a small little smile. "You're welcome..." He said. He continued doing the paperwork.

Suddenly, almost falling of the chair, she started hitting her pockets looking for shots. If she didn't have any, Tom would give her one of his, but luckily she won't have to go to his lab to ask him, she had one in her lab coat pocket. Who knows for how long was it in there, maybe she put it in this morning but she forgot, or maybe she put it in last night? Let's pretend it was like that.
So finally she took the shot, not feeling any different. Still a bit empty inside and with a storm in her head. If she would say she wasn't already used to that, she would lie...And she actually tought that having another partner would be a good idea? Yeah right. It would be awkward to talk to him about anything right now, but still less awkward then being in silence like this...She will survive this, it's not like she will be on this job forever.

Dex wasn't really there to do paperwork. The king had sent him to check on all of the scientists by putting him to work with the lower ranked scientistss. He would be Nina's partner, but he would be ckecking on the tehrs too, as a colegue, but he would still keep an eye on them.

He didn;t like to show his personality at work, but he always liked following his little brother and trying the same things he did, which is why he asked the king to put him with NIna. He wondered what being a scientist was like for his broher, and he thought that haveing the same oartner as he did would let him understand what it was like for him. NOt that he ever did any of it because he like his brohter, he did it so he would know more about him in case he could ever use it agaiinst him if anything occured betweent hem.

"Remember - we have extra sots in teh first aid kit if you ever forget them at home.." Dex mentioned. Wa she saying too much? Would it consern Nina that there were shots in the first aid kit?> You wouldnt put food in a first aid kit, so why pt a food substitue in a first aid kit? It made no sense at all, but he hope she would bruch it off.
