"Funny. Normally you smell like rain and the forest but you have this overwhelming scent of... disinfectant. ...and... chemicals." My eyes widened. Why hand't I noticed this the first time?! A low growl rumbled in my chest, silent to those who didn't have enhanced senses. "You went back, didn't you?" My voice was tinged with hurt, betrayel, and anger. That familiar scent. The school. The scientists. The lab. They were all coated in that scent and he was too. It had to have been recent and we were all so blind to it.

Xmeria said "hello?" Someone came down the stairs

Storms eyes widened. Dang her seance of smell was good! He quickly backed up tripping over rocks and sticks and eventually the very same log the Jinx tripped over earlier. He fell onto his back and looked up at her. Awaiting his next round of pain.

I walked over to Axel. "Still not working huh?" I giggled then looked around for something. It's sorta hard since we live in a forest. I hadn't found my power yet... maybe it was healing? I touched his wings and concentrated hard on healing his wing. I heard something in his wing, it sounded like something was mending. "Did it work?" I asked.

Ren gave a little wave, then tossed a backpack to Crystal. It would be hers from now on, and it was stocked with little things they'd need. He took off out of the cave, heading towards where Storm and Jinx where.

Hissing I pounced on him, pinning him to the ground. I was angry but the hurt in my eyes was unmistakable. "WHY DO YOU KEEP GOING BACK?! Don't you know what they've done to you?" Of course he didn't know. He wasn't aware of his expiration date so he probably didn't know just how sick those scientists were. How was I supposed to explain this? Had he gotten his chip back? If so, how far away were they now? What if they came? What if I was taken back to the school?! The whole flock could be compromised because of this.

I stood wide eyed. I guess it makes sense; I care for people and will do anything to help them. "Thanks!" I yelled to Ren. I opened up the bag, there was mostly food but there was a small pillow in there too. Everyone knows I can't fall asleep without one. "Well since you can fly now I guess we should find out where we're going," I said. I ran out of the cave and shot up into the sky, I started heading towards where Ren was going.

Storm saw Ren and felt like dieing. Once Jinx had tackled him, storm couldn't take it any longer. "I don't know!" He said under muffled sobs. "Just do it okay!" He demended, as he tossed his knife on the ground near her and heald his arm out and covered his face with the other. He was bawling now and he didn't think it was going to end anytime soon.
