“Could I - uh - 'hang around' with you?” Bill clearly sounded confused on what he was saying.

"Um..." Mabel was quite puzzled by this request. "I should probably go home to tell Dipper about this whole... truce thing, so maybe later," Mabel started walking back to the shack.

Bill honestly needed to learn more about human emotions, and Shooting Star wasn't helping. “Alright.” Bill huffs, watching her walk off, frowning.

Dipper jolted into awareness, at once hit with a wave of dizziness. He blinked up at the ceiling, disoriented. Coloured light filtered in through the stained-glass windows of he and Mabel's room, casting shapes across his face as he lay in bed. What time was it? Where was everyone? What had happened the day before?
Suddenly he was overcome with a flash of stifling heat, spreading from his head right through his body. He yelped and threw his covers off of himself, jumping out of bed. Stumbling backwards, he bumped into his bedside table, knocking the lamp that was sitting upon it to the floor and shattering it. Fractals of ice spread out from where he connected with the table, making strange twisting patterns on the wood. A jolt of adrenaline shot through him. Ok. This was weird. But he just had to stay calm. What wasn't weird in Gravity Falls?
Dipper slowly backed away from the glittering ice that now coated the table, scanning the room for his journal. There had to be some explanation for this. Maybe it was a magical disease? What if something had happened to turn him part-snowman?

Mabel entered the mystery shack. "Dipper?" She put down Waddles and looked around, "you up yet?" Suddenly she realised that the half of Waddles she had been holding was now sprinkled with patches of ice. Mabel jumped back. "Waddles!" She picked him up and ran upstairs to get him a blanket.

Dipper grabbed his journal and was beginning to leaf through it. He had only just begun frantically scanning for information when he heard the door slam downstairs and Mabel's voice. Crap. At the sound of her footsteps racing up the stairs he quickly leaned up against the door to stop her from coming in. "Everything's fine!" The words seemed to leave his mouth before he could register saying them. They didn't sound entirely convincing.

"Dipper!" Mabel said trying to open the door. "Waddles is going to freeze to death soon! Open the door!" She tried kicking it but failed. The sound of raindrops could be heard quietly in the background.

"I'm ... uh. You can't come in because - um ..." Dipper's eyes widened as he watched ice slowly spread from where he was standing and under the door.
