Amelia flapped through the cool morning air, her gaze sometimes on the sky, sometimes the ground. She tilted her left wing down, turning slightly. She spotted two people down below- one big, the other small, like a child. She tucked her wings in ever slightly and tilted them downward a little. When she got near the ground, she spread them wide and landed gently a few yards from the two. She examined them for a second. They looked similar, in ways. Possibly siblings? "Hello" She greeted, her accent thickly Jamaican. "I take it you two are new here, yes?"

Memphis finished his breakfast and glanced around. Where was Dallas and Freckles? He shrugged and cleaned up his mess, then went to get dressed. He put on a clean T-Shirt and some jeans, which were a little worn but he was fairly sure that was supposed to be the style. Clay ate her cereal slowly, watching her pets eat. Mini ate quickly, Totters pecked at his food, beak clacking against the plastic bowel, and Freely was already finished, licking her muzzle clean. Clay tilted her head, ears perked, wondering if these three animals would be fit to live in the wild. Totters was already full grown, but every time she put him outside, he always ended up back at her door. Freely and Mini were still babies. She shrugged and tossed her bowel in the sink, then went to the bathroom to brush her hair and teeth.
