calum cataloged the event for later - hopefully him and the guys would all hang out at some point either today or tomorrow. even though they've been forced together with tours and band practices - he felt a pang of loneliness whenever he didn't have contact with one of his mates for too long. and if he heard correctly, all of them had been set up on dates; maybe they could all hang out in one big group, just maybe. the nineteen year old pursed his lips as he took a glance around the small cafe, a small giggle falling from his lips. "i totally disregarded the fact that we're in a cafe, would you like to get a drink - maybe even a pastry?" the boy shrugged casually, resuming his gaze to jade with a curious, but hopeful expression. he was absent mindlessly playing with his fingers in the short silent, tongue poking out from between his teeth whenever his lips became too chapped. "i'll pay." the kiwi boy grinned, shifting slightly in his seat to make sure his wallet was still in his back pocket - and didn't somehow fall out along the way. besides, this was supposedly a special occasion, and being the plain gentleman he was - of coarse he was going to offer to pay, and most likely fight for the right with dignity. "and that's final." he was quick to add in the half sentence as his train of thought ran over the idea of jade simply refusing, and he wouldn't have it.

violet gave a curt nod at his answer, but inwardly laughed at his retraction to her action. she had to agree - they were both spectacular songs in her mind, listening to them daily. the girl was quick to follow ashton towards the front of the smaller shop, her chin tilting in the directions of any interesting advertisement. though, at his proposal; a thin coat of red crept up vi's neck, ducking her head down slightly. her free hand raised to scratch the back of her neck, pursing her lips. "it's fine, really, i can pay for myself." the nineteen year old simply shrugged, giving a small rock on her heel. her brain racked different reasons as to why he even offered - he barely even knew her! either he was just that nice of a person, or a tad bit of a try hard - maybe even a bit of both, she didn't know. violet never had trust issues, well, it's at least what she told herself, and she forced herself to believe it. "why are you being so nice - you don't even know my full name." the girl squinted slightly up towards the taller man, gripping the album tighter as suspicion clouded her mind. her cranium was tilted ever so lightly to the left, as if she was trying to piece ash together like a puzzle. how someone could be so nice, just another thing to add to the list of things she didn't know.

laughing softly, jade replied, "sure, that sounds lovely." hoping she didn't sound to formal with her use of the word 'lovely'. she was trying to just be casual around him, not wanting to come off as super serious or a "fun-killer". she picked up her glasses from the wooden table and slid them back onto her face so she would actually be able to see what she was ordering. the last thing she wanted was to order something that she didn't even like, but not even know. she looked back up and over at calum as he said that he would pay. she smiled, running a hand through the ends of her curled hair, as she had done earlier, about to protest. before she had the chance to insist on paying for herself, he said, "and that's final." "if you insist," jade replied with a smile. he was obviously a gentleman, offering to pay for her and all. it wasn't like anything was too expensive in the quiet little cafe, so she wasn't going to argue with him over it. it was sort of typical for the guy to pay on the first date, so his offer wasn't even a big surprise to her. since there were no waiters slash waitresses at the cafe, she figured they would just go up to the front and order whatever. she stood slowly from the table, being sure that her skirt wasn't too high or too low as she did. she brushed off some non-existent dust from her skirt as she looked towards the front of the coffee shop.

⊲ A frown covered Ashton's face as she held the album closer. This girl was more stubborn than he thought. "A. I'm in a band, I have cash to throw around for pretty girls, B. we're on a date, C. my bandmates told me to be extra nice today." he mumbled the last point. As he got to the counter he added "Plus, it's only an album." the boy shrugged and noticed some band merch on a shelf. He quickly looked at some of the shirts and then returned to Violet. "C'mon, let me pay for that so we can go get ice cream!" he chirped with a lopsided smile. He didn't really have a plan for this date, but who doesn't like ice cream? ⊳

"okay then, right this way!" luke smiled at divina, leading her up the stairs first. he was just praying his and the other boys rooms were clean and tidy. "okay so here is calums room!" he opened the first door on the right, and pointing out that the room opposite him was ashtons. michael's room was by the bathroom and then it got to his room. "aaand this one is mine. sorry for all the posters." he laughed, then took her back downstairs and just began pointing. "okay so kitchen is here and bathroom there. oh and we technically just eat on the sofa but we do have a table in the kitchen. living room is in there." he nodded, and walked into the living room. "so, divina. tell me about you. like, anything. a random fact." he smiled at her, biting on his lip ring.

calum mentally breathed out a sigh of relief, he didn't have the need to argue over such a silly thing such as who was paying for cheap drinks. the boy silently aww'ed as jade perched the glasses upon the bridge of her nose - he thought the glasses suited her personality and made just that much more adorable as well as welcoming. the nineteen year old grinned, tilting his chin in the direction of the counter and prep stations. "get anything you want - no limit." sure, he was a musician and had loads of cash, but he only kept a small portion of it with him for walking around money. as he walked the few feet to the open barista, he slipped his wallet from his back pocket, clutching it with a tighter grip. the bassist then stared upwards to the few boards hanging in the back which signified the menu, his gaze meeting the variety of hot and cold served beverages. his tongue peeked out from between his teeth, a slightly hard decision for his own mind. after a few seconds he leveled his eyes to the worker, quite satisfied with his decision. "a grande hazelnut frapp blend for me, please." he smiled politely to the bored looking teen in the coffee house uniform, softly tapping the leather wallet against the side of his leg.

violet was forced with a small pang of guilt at ashton's expression, she just thought of herself as more independent and didn't want to get in the habit of having to rely on him. the girl slightly flinched at his choice of words for reason a; the nineteen year old wasn't very self conscious, no one had ever called her pretty, maybe her mother at some point when she was younger but the action only made her fidget. she only stilled as the man walked away to view other merchandise, huffing slightly under her breath. she was inwardly conflicted, and she despised it. though, it was true, it was just an album, twenty five dollars out of his pocket - it wasn't that bad at all. finally, giving up her facade, violet nodded shallowly, biting at her bottom lip to contain any sense that his upturned personality humored her greatly. "alright." the girl concluded steadily, her bottom lip jetting out just the slightest in confirmation as she placed the disk in front of the man behind the register. "could i at least pay for the ice cream? i'll feel bad if i don't return the favor." violet avoided any eye contact with ash for the small bit of time as she spoke; guilt was going to slowly nag at her until she payed at least once.
