"You've been captured by aliens. I don't know how, and I don't know why, but I'm going to try to get you out safely, so just stay out of the way until it's over. And if you don't believe me about the aliens thing, just look at them. Oh, and I'm an alien as well." he said quickly, not really paying attention as he tried to wiggle his sonic free. Once he got it, he used it to snap the ropes around him and Xavia, and stood up. He left the others where they were, knowing they wouldn't be able to help much and were probably safer where they were anyway. He wanted to talk to his daughter and explain everything, but he just didn't have time. Then he realised it "Wait, did you say fob watch?" he asked, looking back at the girl. Of course! How could he have been so thick! Two girls with fob watches don't just randomly show up on a pirate spaceship for no reason.

"Xavia, I need you to deal with the Fenn." he said "And no, she's not your sister, too." he added, knowing she'd be curious. He knelt down next to the girl and said "Take out the watch; it's a lot more useful than you think." She must be the other young girl he'd rescued. When he was on his way to the TARDIS so he could get his daughter out of the war zone safely, he'd had to hide briefly in someone else's abandoned home, and he'd found her in a cradle with the watch and a note. He didn't remember what the note said exactly, after so many years, but he'd taken her to live with some of his other friends at the same time as his own daughter. They weren't more than 50 miles away from each other, and he vaguely wondered if they'd ever met. Still, he knew nothing about this girl, and he was curious to see what she could learn from her watch.

Claire Ashdown
Claire arched an eyebrow. "Okay, but I don't know what good it'll do us..." She muttered, fumbling around until the ropes around her allowed her to reach her pocket. She took the fob watch out and looked at it. It had strange circular symbols on it, the way it always had. She looked at the man, eyebrow still raised, and opened the watch. A gold light floated around the watch in wisps and then, before she had the time to comment, it swirled in her direction. The tendrils of light engulfed her face and neck, and she seemed to be absorbing it. Along with an ocean of information that slowly started to make more and more sense. You'reaTimeLadyYournameisOmegaYou'reinyourfirstregenerationThat'stheDoctorHetookyoufromtheTimeWarwhenyouwereababy... It just kept coming and coming, information about Gallifrey, the Last Great Time War, the Doctor, everything even remotely related to Claire's past. Suddenly, she jumped. She looked down at her chest, as if she could see through it. She looked up. She took her own pulse, placing her fingertips on her neck. That was the strangest pulse she'd ever taken. She put her hand over her heart. It was beating strangely, but it didn't match the pulse she'd taken. She moved her hand over. She felt the same pulse. She had two hearts! Claire was at a loss for words. "Well," she finally stammered, "this is...new." She looked up at the Doctor and smiled a little, remembering what he'd said to the girl who Claire thought she'd heard was his daughter--Xavia. "You sure I'm not her sister? For all I know, I could be." Claire looked to her right and saw her classmate at university, Cat Smith. Cat was also holding a fob watch. "Hi, Cat. You, too, huh?" She nodded at Cat's watch.

"No she's not your sister. Your mother died before she was born, and she's not mine. " he said to Xavia. "She could be related, but you'd have to ask her. We can go through all this later. Right now, we just need to get everyone out alive." he said, standing up and walking over to the group of Fenn, next to Xavia. As he walked away, he could hear the two girls talking. So they did know each other. And apparently his daughter's name was Cat. He wondered what it was short for, and he wasn't sure whether he liked it or not.

Keira was finally regaining consciousness, and started to hear several different voices around her. Wherever she was, it was dreadfully cold. Surpressing a shiver, she blinked her eyes open and gazed around groggily. Well, this is strange, isn't it? she thought, as she realized she was on some kind of a alien pirate ship. Some others humans or aliens appeared to be tied down, as Keira now noticed she was as well, but it appeared that some of them had gotten loose- if they weren't part of the alien pirate crew. "Oi, has anyone got a jacket?" Was the first sentence out of her mouth, though the phoenix had originally planed on asking what was going on. Then again, she was freezing cold, and it would probably be easier to get a jacket than have the situation explained to her.

The Doctor heard yet another unfamiliar voice coming from a different place on the ship. There was a girl, tied down to the metal grate of the ship's deck, asking for a jacket. It seemed like Xavia had the situation under control enough without him, so he walked over to the girl. "Do you know what's going on?" he asked, deciding to be nice and give her his coat, even though it would be big on her. He took it off, removing his sonic screwdriver from the pocket before handing it to her. When she took the jacket, their hands touched, and he immediately noticed that she wasn't human, as he'd originally thought. "Your skin's warmer than humans. What are you? " he asked. Obviously her species needed to be kept warm, and that must be why she needed the jacket, but he still wasn't sure what she was.

Keira flashed a smile of gratitude to the man who offered his coat, before reaching out to take it. When he asked her what she was, she hesitated slightly before sliding her arms through the sleeves and wrapping herself up in the coat. "Couldn't I just be a human with a fever?" She asked playfully, before giving him a slight smirk. "But I won't lie- I'm not human. I'm an Ignemtis. You'd probably know our race as Phoenix Children, we live volcano planets, which is why our skin is warmer." Keira explained rather quickly, somewhat excited about telling someone the truth. "The name's Keira, and no, I have no idea where I am or what's going on.... Who're you?" She finished, her thoughts somewhat scattered.

"I'm the Doctor. A time lord from Gallifrey. You've probably heard of them." he said. "Nice to meet you. Anyway, you're surely wondering what's going on." he said, using the sonic screwdriver to free her. "We've been captured by the Fenn, and this is their ship. You've been here longer than us, but I don't know how long, do you?" he asked. "Well, my daughter, Xavia, is over there trying to persuade the Fenn to let us all go. We'll have to do some bargaining I'm sure, but I think we'll be fine. " he explained. Standing up, he said "And you couldn't have been human; you simply don't smell right. I've got a good nose." Just before he walked back to Xavia and the others, he turned back "Don't mess with anything in my coat. "

Then he walked back toward his friends, expecting that Keira would follow him. He pulled out his sonic screwdriver once again, and set everyone else free. "Everyone alright?" he asked, looking around. Midnight was still squirming in a Fenn's arms, but there wasn't anything he could do at the moment to get them to let her go.
