"Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars? I could really use a wish right now..." Melanie quietly sang along to the song that blasted through her headphones. Her voice was soft and almost timid sounding, yet at the same time it had a sort of calming sound to it. With the palm of her hands pressed against the sand-covered wood, she stared into the clear-blue water as her legs dangled over the side of the pier. There was something about this spot that calmed her. Maybe it was the sound of the waves as they crashed against the shore, or the sounds of kids laughing as they played on the beach; no matter what it was, this was her spot to just take a break from life, to forget about everything else and have some time to be with herself. For the hour or two she spent here, she didn't have to think about anything other than what was happening at that very moment.
Brushing her highlighted hair away from her face, she switched her intent gaze away from the water and watched a few people as they passed by. Some hand in hand, others alone. She couldn't help but smile as the thought of having someone who meant everything to her and bringing him to this exact spot so they could enjoy it together crossed her mind.

Xavier slowly walked along the sidewalk, his intent gaze focused on the pavement below him, occasionally looking up to cross a street or get a quick look at someone passing by. He ran a hand through his mess of dark hair, pulling more of his bangs into his face, almost completely covering his strikingly green eyes.
The burning sensation in the back of his throat was becoming unbearable. It was stupid of him to go out wandering through town when he hadn't eaten in nearly two days..

Trinity was running down the street not paying attention when she accidentally ran into a guy who also seemed to be just wandering like her. "I am soo sorry, um, i, i wasn't paying attention, i-. should stop now." Trinity laughed it off even though her embarrassment went through the roof.
