'Gee, thanks.' she said sarcastically, but bit deep into the apple and sat on the floor. When she finished her food, she grunted in appreciation and nodded at Nyoka, who was watching her, which she found rather amusing. Then, she just burst into laughter for no apparent reason. Maybe it was the food, or the LOOK he was giving her, but she just suddenly seemed filled with hysteria.

"You're a hunter, correct? Have you seen any shifters around?" Nyoka asked Phyre, looking a little confused at the maniacal laughter, but choosing to ignore it. "I haven't seen any for a couple of weeks."

Jag turned quickly away from the boy below her to the noise. It sounded like a small snap of some sort. She crouched down a bit, trying to peer through the branches of trees and shrubs. Jag bared her teeth a little. "Who's there?" She hissed.

Phyre laughed harder when he ignored her. When she finally stopped, she wiped tears from her eyes. 'If I weren't a hunter would I be sitting here laughing at you?' and stifled another giggle. 'No, haven't seen any in ages. Must be around though, because all my prey is hiding.' she stood, more serious now. 'I only accepted the food because I'm starving. I'm grateful, but if you ever offer me food again out of pity, I'll cut your arm off. I only meant to make a point. But, again, thanks.' she dusted herself off, and grabbed her arrows which had fallen off her back.

Kika growled low in the ferns, knowing they'd noticed she was there. In frustration, she spoke: 'Don't fear me. I'm a shifter. But if its alright I'd prefer to stay as hidden as possible.'

Jag narrowed her eyes. "Why? Got something to hide? If your a shifter, which I am as well, then come out where I can see you. I promise I won't kill you or something." she said sharply.

Phil shook his head. "Calm down. If she doesn't want to come out, that's fine too. We all put ourselves in danger with standing around here anyway."

'Exactly - and you can see why I prefer to remain hidden.' Kika came into view for a moment, fangs bared, then whipped back again. 'Sorry. Safe habit.'

Jag sniffed and slowly sat down on the branch, still eyeing the spot where the shifter was warily. "Fine. Anyway, have either of you even seen hunters around here? I've managed to keep 'em off my trail for a little while, though I guess it's only a matter of time." she said with a slight frown.

'I swa a female a while back, just like, Tuesday. Looked starving.' Kika commented.
