Conner Nerin
The Dragon

Conner sat by himself in one of the caravans as he normally did when they arrived. He hated working out in the cold, rainy weather so it would have been difficult for any one to get him outside. This was one of the many facets of his life that annoyed him, moving under the cover of the cold and rain, he never quite understood it, but Sir Alder seemed to prefer traveling in the rain.

Conner could hear the pitter-patter of the rain diminishing, which made him feel quite better. He stepped outside of the caravan deciding he could handle a little bit of rain and walked inside the main tent, Adam and Emma were already inside getting it set up. As he entered he could hear Adam say that what he had from the supply room was a bit damp and from the unlit torches he could tell he probably couldn't light them. "Let me see what I can do with those torches," he offered.

Officer Nathaniel Burri
[ Normal Human - Policeman ]
It wasn't often that Mr. Smith had a complaint. He was an older gentleman who worked a good sized farm with his one remaining son. A simple person who rarely came to town himself, he always sent his son. Officer Burri wouldn't expect to see the man unless it was truly important business. Especially today, with this nasty storm even Nathaniel would rather be home than working. It wasn't as if he could do anything anyways, nobody would dare go out in that rain. But as the storm died down and necessity arose, there were always the few in town rushing to complete their daily errands, and it was always the sign that his wait inside was over. It was never really interesting, his job was mainly observing and preventing potential problems. Today though, old Mr. Smith entered the building before Nathaniel even bothered to think about leaving.

The old man's complaint was nowhere near ordinary. Most farmers complained of their neighbors animals, or theft and vandalism of their crops. The weather now removed the potential for crop issues, but Smith would have taken care of animals and neighbors himself. Instead, he had a complaint Burri wasn't quite sure what to think of. It wasn't every day a citizen complained of people taking over their field in a storm. Nathaniel had heard of the traveling shows which came in the depth of a storm and set up whole shows in empty fields, but they hadn't made it to this town before.

Burri's supervisor joined him as he saw the angry and wet old man standing there. "The rain died down, I came to check and be sure my animals were okay in the barn and I look across my field and there's these people there. Set up tents in my field like it was their own home." Smith's voice was harsh and angry, he was a private man. He didn't tolerate trespassers. Nathaniel had heard that Smith would send his son out with a gun if he caught anyone on his property instead of speaking to the police, but it seemed today his son was unavailable, or too smart to stand up to this group of people alone. "I want them out. It is not their property, it is mine, and I would like to be able to use it. I am sure you want nothing of it yourself. I've heard of them. It is a disruption to life in any town they visit. No good freaks that don't belong here." The supervisor, agreeing that it wasn't an issue to be ignored, decided it should be checked out by an officer.

Nathaniel got the unfortunate joy of going to check it out. For his own sake, he hoped that the old man wasn't simply seeing things through the storm. There were rumors that Smith had gone crazy long ago, rumors used to explain his secluded nature. Nathaniel never did much talking, but he sure was good at listening. And he always had a lot to think about it. As he walked with his hands in his pockets through the remaining drizzle of the storm, he hoped this was worth his time. "That Smith better be right. He won't be happy if he's making me walk all the way out there for nothing." Nathaniel muttered under his breath. He wasn't normally a violent or angry man, but wasting time on false reports made him more angry than most other things. Lucky, he guessed, that it turned out to be completely true.

"It is quite the interesting set up." He commented, looking at the large white tents. "Must really be freaks to think we would allow this." He stood still for a moment, trying to decide the best way to handle things. He didn't know who was in charge, didn't know how they would respond to being told to leave. The unknown was always dangerous. But dangerous was his job, and so he stepped toward the first person he saw.

"Hey! What makes you think you can be here?!" He yelled in the harshest voice he could through his slight shivering. He looked to be a bit nervous, though he was fighting to hide it.

Adam Baker
The Dead-Man-Walking
"From the lights to the pavement,
From the van to the floor,
From backstage to the doctor,
From the Earth to the morgue,"

Adam looked up at Cordelia as she walked into the tent. His eyes lingered briefly on the gills on the side of her neck that she usually kept hidden. He looked back at the torch, scolding himself for staring. He made sure it was stable before looking back at Cordelia,
"Um, sure, yeah. You could, um, help me set up your tank. If, um, you don't mind. Let's go," he said. He checked to make sure all the torches had been put in place before turning towards the tent entrance.

He stopped when he saw (Edgar? His form says Conner. XD)
"Took you long enough," he said. He winced, "No. Um. Sorry. Um, yeah help with the torches would be great. Thanks."
He dragged his hand through his dark hair. He looked back at Cordelia,
"I'll, um, start getting the tank walls out."

You dumbo. he thought as he exited the tent.
It didn't seem to matter who it was, he always managed to trip over his tongue when talking to them. People made him nervous. He wasn't sure if it had always been there, his lack of social skills, or if he's become magically awkward after he died the first time. Impossible to say, really. He tried not to dwell on it. He opened up the supply caravan door, ignoring the rain still coming down, and climbed inside to find the walls of Cordelia's tank.

Cordelia Nerin
The Mermaid

Cordelia watched as Adam stared at her gills. She suddenly felt self conscious and she instantly pulled down her hair. She looked down at the ground ashamed for how her gills looked. She looked up when he offered to help with her tank. She hated setting it up, the tank made her feel contained. She wished for a open place to be in like an ocean. She sighed wistfully a the thought. She nodded at her brother as she walked by. When Sir Adler found her and she came to the camp, and found her long lost brother, she was over joyed. She had heard snippets from her parents about her older brother, but she was too young to remember him.
Cordelia followed Adam into the caravan that held her glass walls for her tank. She scowled at them and walked over to one. "It's going to be heavy. I don't know how much I am going to be of use helping carrying them." She said with a sigh. She looked at the wall of the glass wall she was closest to. She checked to make sure there were no cracks anywhere, which would result in leaks. Cordelia sighed seeing that there were none in the wall she was checking. She glanced over at Adam, "See any cracks?" She asked him

Adam shrugged,
"Well, I think between the two of us we can manage," he said. He looked at the glass walls, "No, I think it's fine."
He started to drag one of the walls towards the door.
"Here. See if you can get a good grip on it. We'll have to be very, very careful taking this think out. But I suppose you knew that. Right. Sorry," he said.

Alyce Gaver
The Musician

Alyce gave up on the rope she was soaked and tired. then Cordelia walked over to me and handed me a fabric tie. A gave her a friendly smile and quickly tied my hair in a messy bun, then i covered my head with a light brown yarn beanie (is that the right term for this century?). Then she heard someone come towards them. Alyce watched as Emma made here way over to her and Cordelia and took care of the fly away rope. She quickly tied it to the stake and started on the other stakes. She saw as the walls were soon finished and started to head toward the cart that contained all of the instruments. She made her way through the cart looking at all the different instruments, there was a violin, trumpet, cello, piano, various flutes and other woodwind instruments. Then she started to move them to the main tent near the Far East wall, where she normally plays music to the acts and shows. Soon, one by one, she moved each instrument with care and placed them neatly in rows. Then she was faced with another problem. The grand piano. This was far the hardest thing in the whole traveling show to move. She grunted and walked back to the main tent where everyone was setting up. She looked around and tried to get one of the guys attention, but they seemed to be busy. So she walked back to the cart and sat on the piano bench. She started at the black and white keys. Then, without knowing, she started to play. Unlike the song from before, this one had a...happier note.

(Oh jeez, my bad. A lot of my characters are named Edgar nowadays so I got mixed up. Fixed that though.)

Conner Nerin
The Dragon

Conner returned Cordellia's nod as he passed on by, reminiscing when they were first reunited here. That single day was probably the happiest he had ever been in along while. As for Adam, it was too early in the morning to snap back at him and he seemed to realize who he was talking to pretty quickly. Without any further interruptions he set to work on the torches, inspecting them first. They were rather damp but hopefully his breath would be hot enough to ignite them. Conner took a deep breath and exhaled a small stream of flame from his mouth. A bright orange as the flame danced a top the head of the torch, satisfied with the results he moved on to the next one. He had not even started on it when he heard a loud, demanding voice from outside. Conner decided to ignore because it was most likely an outsider who discovered their little establishment, wondering just what it was doing here. He, like the others, wasn't allowed to talk to people unless it was absolutely necessary and since he wasn't directly addressing him he decided it wasn't necessary. Besides, Sir Alder could deal with whatever complaints the man outside had. Conner continued to ignite the torches, without any distraction.

((Ahh, it's alright. Going to do my best to reply in full paragraphs today, as I am sick ))
Cordelia Nerin
The Mermaid

Cordelia nodded and did her best to grip the large glass wall. It didn't have much traction to it,but it would have to work. She wondered how they would be able to get the glass wall in, without slipping in the mud. She looked up at the sky, sad to see that the rain was almost let up. It was a drizzle now. She knew they had to hurry. She didn't like to be the last one done. It was hard when depending on the rain. You never knew how long the storms would last, because you were never in the same place.
Cordelia found it very difficult to walk in the mud. She concentrated on keeping the mud off of the glass walls. Cordelia jumped when she heard a voice. Oh how she felt sorry for whom he was yelling at. She almost lost her grip, when she was startled."Can we put it down for a minute?" Cordelia asked Adam.

Alyce Gaver
The Musician

As Alyce finished up the song, she noticed that the rain was to a drizzle. A very light drizzle. Crap she thought to herself, their time to set up is almost over. She flew from the piano bench and cart and ran to the main tent. When she walked in, everyone seemed to be getting all the last touches on. She stood by the main entrance and waved her arms high above the air. She needed someone to notice her, to help her get the piano in before the rain, or rather drizzle, lets up and ends. Soon her arms started to hurt and no one still seemed to noticed. This frustrated her, not being heard, even though she's not the talking type. She threw her arms down to her sides and stomped to the instruments that she already set up. She quickly viewed the many instruments and picked up the one that will get the other attention quite well. She settled herself with the trumpet, comfortably in her hands, snd blew the hardest, loudest C note that she could muster up.

Adam Baker
The Dead-Man-Walking
"From the lights to the pavement,
From the van to the floor,
From backstage to the doctor,
From the Earth to the morgue,"

Adam was startled a little when Cordelia jumped, but he managed to keep his grip on the tank wall. He was starting to panic a little now that the rain was starting to disappear, but he did as Cordelia asked and set the wall down in the mud. He didn't like getting the glass dirty, but there was really no way to avoid it. He looked in the direction of the shout that must have startled Cordelia and spotted a man who looked like a police officer.
Dang it.

He jumped and nearly let the glass wall topple over when he heard a loud noise come from the tent. A trumpet. He clapped one hand over one ear and grimaced. He hated trumpets. What was the point of them. He glared towards the tent when the sound stopped.
"Alyce," he muttered. He shook his head. He looked at Cordelia, "Ready?"

Sir Adler

This man was very persistent. Sir Adler had been watching the officer ever since he came into the field, hoping that he wasn't too serious and would go away after a while. No such luck. He sighed and straightened his top hat.
Time to deal with the common folk I suppose.
He stepped away from his own caravan and walked towards the officer,
"I'm assuming there's a problem since you've graced us with your presence, officer," he said. He wore a calm and charming smile, indicating that he didn't find this man the least bit threatening.
