Sapphire Claire Bonadair||19||Mer||Defender||Swimming||Tagged: None
She lounged lazily against a rock, her tail moving up and down in a slow motion. Every time the red fins of her tail hit the sandy bottom it would cause sand to come up and make the water in front of her become milky. Her hair floated freely to each side of her head, a soft sigh spilled from her mouth which caused bubbles to float up. She looked up, from how far down she sat you could barely see the sun’s rays breaking the water’s surface and shining on the seas’ inhabitants. The new need to be farther up from the bottom of the Ingo had her pushing her petit form off the sandy ocean bottom. With slow, graceful movements her tail pumped back and forth, bringing her farther and farther towards the waves lapping above her. Her hands rested at her sides and she could feel the water pushing back on her motions. But she was steadily climbing higher and higher.
The different formations in the water passed by her, yet she paid them no mind. Right now she was dead set on getting to the top of the water, feeling her head break its surface and the movement of the water push and pull herself. As she got higher the sun began reflecting on the golden scales of her tail. When
She hit the top of the water she breathed in through her nose, feeling the salt sting in her nostrils. She took in a few breaths of the air, expecting it to be fresh. Of course the thought hadn’t hit her that it would be salty no matter where she went. With a small shrug of her shoulders she dived back under, droplets of water springing up around her. Without a specific destination she began her leisurely swim.

Cole Daniels Bonadair||18||Half-Mer||Rebel||Sitting|Tagged: None
Cole walked along the sandy shore with his hands shoved deep in his pockets. The jeans of his pants were rolled up mid-way between his ankles and lower legs. He wore a simple white shirt and had gone for a walk without the idea of shoes. He didn’t want to have to worry about them, they were too much of a burden. He kicked a small hill of sand and watched it scatter in small groups. Looking down at where his foot was poised still in the air, ready to swing down, he saw a small crab shuffling frantically. His lips pressed into a thin line and he bent down to have a look at it. “Sorry little guy. Didn’t mean to bug you.” He said softly, as if the crab would respond. Slowly he bent his knees before he let himself fall onto the sand. He kept his legs stretched out and dug his toes into the sand. Lifting them up he watched as grain after grain trickled through the openings in between his toes.
He raised a hand and grazed it through is hair with an agitated sigh. Cole had been aggravated by his mother ever since his father disappeared, it bugged his whole being. He found himself spending more time sitting on the beach and swimming around in the ocean’s cool waters. He hadn’t been in the last few days and was missing Ingo at the moment. But he felt going alone couldn’t be the best of ideas, considering he knew just what time Sapphire floated around the waters swimming, just looking for trouble. The very thought of her brought on a very unattractive scowl to his face.

    ||@ Buzz- sorry for the shortened name, I'm rushing! I have to go for a little bit, but I should be back within an hour at the most! I will respond as soon as I'm done with whatever it is I'm doing! Soo sorry if this causes an inconvenience! But please, keep Cole open for me! (:

    ||@ anonymous- if my posts are a but shorter than required, I'm terribly sorry. It's hard for me to see how much I need on a condensed screen of an iTouch. Everything seems longer than it really is to me, so if it's not, I can edit, just tell me! And sorry about your computer! ):

    Stumbling down the rocky cliff-side, Hollie cast a glance back up at her sea-shell like cabin and sighed. Her mother wouldn't be home for another eight or nine hours, depending on how long work held her up, so Hollie was free to do as she pleased. Which obviously meant she was going to go down to the beach, no question, even if she had been forbidden by her mother. Rolling her eyes at the though thought of her forbidden-ness, she tripped on a particularly craggy rock, and tumbled down the rest of the steep slope, landing at the feet of a boy. Breathless, bruised and embarrassed, she got quickly to her feet, her ivory skin now tinted as red as her hair.

    "Well." she muttered dusting off her short blue Jean shorts. "That wasn't very fun." then she noticed Cole again. "Sorry for using your feet as a pillow," she said offering a pretty grin. "But, I must say, they were much more comfortable than the rocks!" realizing he probably didn't care, or was completely terrified of her chattering she sighed and stuck out a hand. "I'm Hollie. Sorry for falling on your feet." her blue and golden-flecked eyes searched his face for any signs she had totally weirder him out.

    Miles opened his green eyes lazily, blinking through the salty water, and flicked his tail to raise himself off of the sandy floor. Pushing against the strong current, he rose to the surface of the great blue ocean and let his head bob above the salty water, flicking his tail occasionally, to keep himself above the surface. Glancing around, he saw the rocky shore not to far off. With that in mind, he dove back under the surface.

    Swimming lazily, he came up to the surface every once in a while, to look around. When he spotted another Mer, [Buzz, your girl whose name has slipped my mind] and swam forwards a little faster, wondering if it was someone he knew. When he was close behind her, he realized it was no one he knew. Throwing caution to the wind, he cleared his throat. "Hello."

Sapphire Claire Bonadair||19||Mer||Defender||Amused||Swimming||Tagged: Miles
As she swam she heard a voice behind her. Not recognizing it she slowed down and peeked over her shoulder, with a single smooth motion she went upwards and looped back to face him. During her loop she turned her body around so that she was facing him. As she studied his face she tried to place a name, anywhere she had seen him. After all, most of the Defenders knew each other and could recognize each other. But this boy in front of her was unknown. She could not place a name to his face, which meant one thing. Slowly a devilish smirk crept onto her intense facial features as she stared at him, her eyes never blinking. Oh was she going to have fun with this little boy. She studied him, keeping her facial features the same. He seemed to be a full Mer, but just the single fact she didn't know him led her to the conclusion. A rebel.
Without warning she shot forward towards him, at the last second she turned to the side, though it was small it would be enough for a scare. She let her tail push against his body, turning him in a circle. With the amount of grace she had she smoothly followed his spinning motion before he stopped and she stood -well floated- in front of him. "This is too good. A little wee Rebel floating around in enemy territory." she taunted, swimming slowly around him in circle, she moved the lower part of her tail so she could remain straight. Her eyes lazily scanned over him, examining her prey. She swam towards the front, running her fins over his shoulder before giving him a little tap on the chin. "Dangerous aren't we? Throwing caution to the wind. What a true Rebel." she said, the words flowing from her mouth smoothly. Flipping over she went down towards the ocean floor. Stopping a few feet below him she came back up and gripped the area of his tail directly above the fin. She pulled as she went up, causing him to tilt forward at least a little. "So daring, yet so foolish." she breezed.

Cole Daniels Bonadair||18||Half-Mer||Rebel||Calm||Sitting|Tagged: Hollie
He jerked a little when someone landed at his feet. His eyes widened into small grey pools. After the inital shock settled down his eyes returned to their normal size. Raising one thick eyebrow he listened to her ramble on. He breathed out a soft chuckle as she introduced herself. He could already tell, this girl was a trip. Reaching out he took her smaller hand in his larger one and shook it gently. "Well Hollie, it's nice to meet you. The name's Cole. And uh, as for the feet thing. No biggey, I'm used to it." he said the last part jokingly, making sure to keep out any sarcasm. Cole wasn't exactly in the mood to be a jerk to anyone, especially to someone he didn't know! As the sun shined brightly in his eyes they narrowed into small slits to block some of the light. He brought a hand up to shield the light better. While he couldn't exactly see her very well anymore it was better then the sun. 'Though I do feel a little rude doing this.' he thought to himself. Standing up he brushed his legs off and smiled gently.
He watched her for a moment before deciding to ask the question that was bugging him. "So. Why were you tumbling down a cliff?" he asked, raising an eyebrow once again. He let his smile grow into one that wasn't small but his regular one. 'The girl certainly has a way of making an entrance.' he thought silently. Without realizing it a small chuckle escaped his mouth at the memory of her falling. Of course he knew he shouldn't, she could have been hurt but he was Cole! He kinda had to, at least in his mind.

    Hollie released his warm hand a few seconds after shaking it, realizing hers were quite cold. In answer to his question, she grinned, and raised her own hand to shade out the sun. "Well, Cole, that's a good question." her grin widened at his chuckle, her easygoing nature not caring if he thought she was clumsy and silly. "I like to fall down that cliff every day." she joked,  eyes bright. "Just kidding. I was sneaking out. My mum hates the beach because of what I am-" she shut her mouth quickly, wishing she could yank the words back. He was sure to have ward them in such a close space, which was bad. She had barely learned about her Mer side until a little over a month ago, when her father had gone missing, and yet she'd almost told this complete stranger who she was. Stupid clumsy mouth.

    She smiled uneasily, and ran her hand through her fiery hair. "Umm, sneaking out, like I said. My mum hates the beach, for reason unbeknownst to me!" she tried to pull off lying, which let's face it, she wasn't very good at. Crap. Oh well, she could only hope he hadn't caught the slip.

    Miles was startled. Oh, crap. he thought as soon as he realized the older girl wasn't a rebel...and he wasn't even on his territory. How the heck had he crossed the border without realizing it? It was a freaking no mans land! Then again, hardly anyone was currently out and about, besides this Mer girl, which brought him back to her yanking on his tail. "Hey!" He objected, flicking his tail, hard, to disengage her. Narrowing his eyes, his brows lowered and he glowered at the girl, realizing he could probably take her. But he didn't particularly like hurting girls. Even if they did pull his tail, which hurt. He rolled to the left, using the water to his advantage, and yanked his tail out of reach to observe the girl.

    A sly smile alighted his lips as a lightbulb seemed to pop up over his head, an idea forming. "Me? The wee little rebel? More like the Defender who can't even seen to defend her own territory!" he smirked, green eyes challenging her. He wouldn't let the fight get out of hand, he'd swim away before he hurt her, as she was smaller, but probably older, he couldn't quite tell. But he was sure about one thing. She was quick. He could tell that already. Raising a brow, he crossed his arms and flicked his tail lazily, not willing to lay a hand on her and cause an even bigger commotion. Not yet at least.
