After waking up at 9 from a text, I decided to head down to the park. My aunt was angry that I wasn't up earlier, but she was still tired from the night before. Her and her beau, Harold Jackson, had gone to the one bar in town and gotten drunk. Luckily they had walked there. It wasn't that far, but if they had driven, someone would have probably died. Knowing my luck, it wouldn't have been one of them.
Once I was in the park, I gazed around. It was partially overcast, but very warm. The park itself was pretty busy since it was a Saturday. On the playground part, there were children and their parents, playing on the swings and teeter-totters. In the fielded area, families were playing frisbee with their pets and each other. I chose to head over to the wooded area, which was just a sparse area of the forest around the town. The mountains rose up behind the trees, soaring into the sky.
I found a secluded area and climbed up into a large oak tree, leaning back against the trunk as I perched on a large branch. My eyes roamed the park, watching the rest of the town enjoy their lives.

As the sun climbed higher into the sky, I sighed. It was peaceful in this little town and I absolutely loved it. Luckily, few people here had heard of me since I was from Japan, so I was living a normal life. I kicked a stone and sighed, reaching up to my neck. I pulled the tie I was wearing looser and unbuttoned the top button on my shirt. It was wonderully warm here as well.
As I passed by the park, I decided to see what was happening. Even though I had lived in this town for over a year, I didn't have any good friends. The one person that I had ever truly been friends with was still in Japan, probably still a top artist. Rin Muritaka. I sent her a letter recently, but she had moved since I came here so she didn't get it. If I sent fan mail she might never get it.
I walked over to the picnic area and found an empty bench. With a sigh, I sat down and leaned on my fist, watching a teenage boy play fetch with his dog. Or at least try to. I grinned slightly.
(Yes, I changed Rin's last name. They aren't siblings in this, just co-singers. And your posts don't have to be this long, I just had muse.)
