(Alex would likely insist on being called Alex, though for everyone else yep.)

.....Alex wondered if he'd get a word in edgeways as Brier babbled on about blood and cookies. "I'm fine, can't say much about the demon though." He shook his head at the offer of cookies and couldn't resist a smile. He was a bit confused about her reaction, she'd asked if he was alright, but bothered more about the cookies.

"A bowl of water would be great though."

He frowned, and tilted his head to the side with a smirk when he heard Asher. "I'm fine, seriously. Are you coming in or threatening the door some more?" Alex was covered in demon blood so it was obvious he'd managed to evade Asher for long enough to kill demons.

.....Outside Victoria winced at the laughter, it made her feel foolish. Once she stepped inside however, the look was gone. Victoria wasn't an average servant and had no idea why she was being told about the misfortunate fate of the dress."So, you'll be wanting me to call a maid up for you m'lady?"

She self consciously adjusted her hair over her scar as she spoke, before glancing over at Andrew, "Anything that needs doing m'lord?" Perhaps Victoria wasn't the most natural person when it came to politeness though she hoped it would be overlooked.

Brier nodded and got a bowl from the cabinets, filling it with water from the pump. There was another man there now. "Here you go. What's your name?" she paused to eat the other cookie, then turned to the other man. "And what's your name?' Brier realized that she was babbling and closed her mouth so quickly that she bit her tongue.
"Ouch!' she snatched up a napkin a held it to her tongue until it stopped bleeding. She scowled at her stupidity, then remembered her 'guests. "I'm Brier Larrson, by the way."

Narrowing his eyes slightly, Asher slid his katana back into it's sheath. Walking up to Alex, he gave him a quick glance over. "You look awful," he said and left it at that. Glancing toward Brier he gave a small bow and a simple answer of "Asher Maurier," before turning back to his "Master". "I must insist that we return home, sir. Your family will surely be wondering about your whereabouts and it seems that you have had quite enough excitement to sustain you for a while." Sidestepping, he glanced behind them, glaring into the brush around the house. Something had made a noise before, he was sure. Now, however, nothing seemed to stir in the quiet morning light. Still, one could never be too sure.

....."Lord Alexander Lairses." Alex answered Brier before setting the bowl on the table after thanking her for filling it. He pulled a face at Asher, "Thanks and you look like a box of roses too." He quickly began to clean the demon blood from his hands and face and striped off his jacket which was ruined. "What did I tell you? It's Alex not sir."

He then pulled a face "sure lets go right now when I look like an explosion in an ink factory." He didn't pay attention to whatever Asher was doing, since he was trying to make himself presentable.

Asher turned back to Alex and Brier. Quietly, he took Alex's coat and draped it over his arm, allowing Alex to focus on the rest of his ink covered self. "Alright, Alex," he emphasized, "what would you have me do? I am no maid nor am I a butler. In cases such as these, I am useless. Unless a demon were to jump out. Which could be possible, what with the smell of demon blood hanging all around you." Giving a last glance to the shrubbery, he gave a resigned sigh. "You could have simply waited at home and then none of us would be in this little predicament," he breathed quietly, quickly shutting up afterwards.

◘◘Cassandra smiled. "No, I do not require a maid's services. I was merely offering an explanation for the dress." she said in a calm tone, then crossed the room to her desk, effectively leaving them to it. She pulled out a crisp white sheet of paper and laid it carefully in front of her. She sharpened her quill pen's nib and dipped it in a bottle of black ink. Then she began to write.

Dear Lady Rebecca Brightmoore,

I am writing to invite you to tea at my home on Saturday. It would be my pleasure if you would come. Please send your reply back with Travers, who will give you this note.

Your Friend,
Lady Cassandra Eventide.

she folded the note and slipped it into an envelope with the Lady's name on the front, then slipped it into a wooden tray on her desk. Travers would check the tray that afternoon, and he would surely be most prompt. Pleased, she took out her latest reading book and began to quietly read, listening to her brother conversing.

◘◘"No thank you, Victoria. However, there is one matter I would like to discuss with you. Please take a seat." he invited, gesturing lightly to one of the chairs around him. "Oh, and Victoria? Call me Andrew." he added after a moments hesitation.

Andrew was a tall man, standing at around 6 feet. He was powerfully built, with wide shoulders and an excellent physique. His ruggedly handsome face only added to his charming good looks and demeanour. He couldn't help his eyes straying over her, taking in her appearance. An appealing figure, encased, unusually, in men's clothing. Each to their own, he thought. He let a smile hover on his face at the sight of leaves in her hair, and he let out a low, rumbling chuckle.

....."Well, if you want, you could probably arrange a carriage if you are that bored." He smirked slightly at the emphasis on his name, and in return added emphasis to Asher's name. "If I'd have waited Asher I'd have been bored." He wondered exactly why Asher was inspecting the shrubbery but gave it a miss. "I would have waited at home but this brings us back to the bordem predicament." He knew he was likely to be attracting demons by being covered in demon blood, which is why he was trying to get rid of it. "That coat you're holding might as well be gotten rid of, it's soaked in blood."

....."Yes Milady," Victoria nodded as Cassandra walked off to write a letter. Her attention turned to Andrew as he begun to speak, and she wondered why exactly he wanted to discuss matters with her, though she didn't question it. "Andrew." She confirmed, as an attempt to remind herself to do so. She walked over to the chairs and took a seat in one, slouching as she usually did before forcing herself to sit up straight. However sitting up straight didn't really sort out the marred appearance. She herself didn't really care how others perceived her, she just knew there was a level of expectation - that she failed to meet on a regular basis. "What would you like to discuss M'l-" she stopped herself, "Apologies, Andrew."

◘◘"I wanted to discuss extra security measures for my sister, as it has come to my attention that she has been in several dangerous and potentially dangerous situations over the past few months." Andrew confirmed, smiling when she used his name. He liked the sound of it in her voice, it made him seem less formal. As if to prove a point he leaned back and stretched his legs out casually, his usually ramrod-straight back curving slightly to fit the chair.

He reached over to a crystal whiskey container on the table and poured himself some, downing the fiery liquid. It scorched it's way down to his belly, where it warmed him pleasantly from inside. He offered some whiskey to Victoria, inclining his head towards it slightly.

{ n a m e }

Lucian Abraxus Maurier

{ n i c k n a m e }

Do you know me? Do you care who I am? I don't care who you are, so why does it matter what you call me? Call me tree sap for all I care just stay the heck away from me. Good God, I can't get one second of peace around here.

{ a g e }

Age? Oh that pointless number of years it's been since my birth you mean? I'm 21. I don't care if you heard different, think different, or know different, I'm 21 and from now on that's what you know. Got it?

{ g e n d e r }

I really hope to high heavens you didn't just ask me that. Do I look like I have boobs inside of of my shirt? I didn't think so, move on.

{ e m p l o y m e n t }

What's it to you how I earn my money? I have money, more than enough to support ten families, and how I got that money isn't really any of your concern. I will tell you this though, I wouldn't want to be in my business if I was.. normal like you.

{ p e r s o n a l i t y }

Personally, I think you should have been able to figure that out for yourself by now, but, since you haven't appeared to yet, I will tell you. I'm a dangerous kind of guy, I get mad easily, I can tear you apart with my words, or my hands. It doesn't matter which way to me. I don't get attached to people, ever. It's bad for business. It's hard to be a con artist on the black market if you got some one checking up on you at all hours of the day. Damn.. Now you know what I do for a living. Tell anyone and I'll rip your throat out, kid.

{ h i s t o r y }

Look, I'm not going to tell you the whole story, you don't need to know it. It's my story, there ain't another being in the world that should know it besides me. I'll tell you a bit though, so you'll shut up and stop pestering me.

I grew up in my family's mansion, I don't believe that dealing in the darker business means you have to live like the scum you sell too. I had a decent child hood, I had money, the latest fashions on my back, and toys that could challenge the royal brats' collection. My family was never around much, and I was happy for that. Being alone so much let me figure our my opinions on the world for myself, without anyone else tainting my mind.

I was five or six when I killed my first demon. I don't know how old it was, but it wasn't very powerful. All I had to do was smash it through a road and trap it in a fire to destroy it. That's the only demon who's ever seen my symbols. They are oddly placed, around my neck instead of my wrist or across my shoulders. Anyway, my family was sort of excited that I'd made my first kill so young and they seem to have been impressed enough to leave me be.

Besides hunting down Demons, I also do work for the darker side. I sell cursed objects and have even done a murder or two if it seemed like it would be protecting the city. I know I've got angel blood in me, but I can feel how thin it's gotten. Sometimes I can't tell if I'm good or evil, but I guess it doesn't matter when I'm just a Watch Dog for the underworld.

{ w e a p o n }

Besides my strength and martial arts skills, I have found I have an incredible talent with various weapons. However, the two I am most skilled with are a set of bow and arrows and a sword.

{ i n t e r e s t i n g - f a c t }

There are many unusual things about me; my line of work, my skills, my loyalties; but there are a few that many people wouldn't even think to think about asking me about. For example, very few people know that I am a master violinist, a writer, or that I have a singing voice that makes birds fall silent.

{ o t h e r }

If anyone asks, you've never met me and you didn't hear any of this. If I hear you did meet me or that you have heard any part of this... Let's just say it won't be pleasant.

Brier cocked her head at the two visitors. She had no clue whatsoever to what was going on, or why they were there. "Sooo... would you mind telling me what's going on?" She asked as she went to get another cookie. She offered one to the... servant? butler? Anyways, she offered a cookie to Asher before sitting back down on a stool."Besides, there's no need to hurry. Papa is eating with that lady, and he'll probably have Cook stay with them for decencies sake."
