Celeste watched the faces of the four kids speaking some strange languages. She didn't need to know what they saying to understand what they feeling. She didn't like the looks on their faces either. She looked away, deciding to look at other people for now. She sighed softly, pressing farther into the corner. She didn't like it here. She didn't like it at all. She wasn't meant for a place like this. She was no criminal, she was no delinquent, as they were all saying about her. She was just over protective of her sister, too sacrificial. She swallowed a bit. Fear. That means strong emotion. Mine is fear, she thought.

They sounded crazy. This babbling in a different language caught his curiosity well enough that he actually looked over at them. His dark eyes narrowed a little, eye brows furrowed in question. What were they speaking? It sounded familiar to many languages that he had heard, and yet not like any of them. He was fairly certain he wasn't imagining it, wasn't going mad. His mind was sound as could be, regardless of how senseless many thought he was.

So that ment they must be the crazy ones. Or something like it. They did seem thrilled at the talk of murder, so that wasn't such a stretch. It must have been one of those gang languages, though he had heard much of that and it usually never left the English language. It was just all jumbled up into codes. But perhaps the same. So, what, did that make them all part of the same gang? Jesse didn't like gangs. They were the reason he was here in the first place. though, he supposed that was better than many of them ended up. But what if they were? Could he really stand to be left here among those he hates without a doubt? He may really go mad with this new development. No, no he could end up dead if they knew anything about him. He would have to be very careful, to know everything.

Well, there went his dreams of a somewhat relaxed trip to juvie.

"Excuse me." He said, somewhat quietly, though his voice was the strange quality of pitch that usually made people listen up. It came in handy, sometimes. "What are you speaking?"

Katt pulled away from the group. When she turned, she came face-to-face with a boy. She offered him a sweet smile, and shrugged, her bubble-gum pink hair falling over her shoulders in soft curls as she did. "Just a stupid language we invented when we were kids." she said, tilting her head slightly.

He looked almost familiar, in a way. She pushed the thought away, extending an innocent hand. "I'm Katt." she said in a friendly tone, eyes bright. She then gestured to each of the group members in turn with the introductions. "That's Alice, Demetri, and - sadly - Alex." she said, shooting daggers at Alex - which he returned - before turning back to the boy, the smile returning.

ooc: Sorry, I had to do some last minute homework that I COMPLETELY forgot about. Successful college student am I...

bic: If it is stupid, then why continue to use it? He couldn't tell if she was lying or just playing down the importance of the language. Jesse watched her as she pointed out each of her friends -or, mostly friends. She didn't seem fond of the last one- and stared down at her hand a moment before offering his in return. Shaking hands with a gang member. No, no he didn't know what they were yet. It wasn't safe to jump to conclusions. Though, perhaps it was smarter than just hoping for the best. "Stupid as it may have been, it looked pretty intense just now. Is there a problem?" He asked, getting right to the point. No name, no explination. He hardly ever gave one.

Though, perhaps being so straight forward would get them suspicious of his motives. No, no he couldn't have that. Let's make this casual then.

"Planning an escape already? I've only been in one of these places twice before, but it seems to me it is customary to wait at least a week before flying the coop." He added with somewhat of a smile. Or, as close as he could get to a sincere one anyway.

"Oh, you can never be too prepared." Katt replied, going along with it. "The mischievious planning takes place before the daring escape. I'd think you would know that." she teased lightly, hands on her hips. He was a curious one, yes. He hadn't offered a name or anything. Must've had a bad experience or something that came with giving away his identity. Or perhaps he was just cautious. Or smart.

Even she hadn't given out her real name. Nobody knew her real name, not even her best friend. As of late, it had became hard to even remember it. It had been so long ago when she went by that label, and she had discarded it as soon as possible. She was simply cautious, intelligient. She knew that bad things could happen if you let your guard down for too long.

"As for the language," she paused, scanning the crowd a second as something caught her eye, "well, there's not that much to it. You, of all people, must know that it is unwise to let even the smallest thing slip in a place like this. It has been a while since we've spoken in our secret language, but I'd rather not blab everything out in the open; No matter how quiet you are, there are always ears listening." she lowered her voice to emphasize this, gradually getting quieter towards the end of the sentence. "At the risk of sounding insane, I use the language - Better safe than sorry, mmm?"

He was getting the feeling that he was in the middle of a slasher movie. But that was always how it felt when he was surrounded by them. It was a little creepy, to be honest. She talked as if she must have known him, but he had no idea who she was. What she was seemed pretty clear to various parts of his brain that called out 'gang member', 'enemy', 'run'. But who? Not that he made it a habit to concentrate on members he wasn't currently going after. He really didn't care what their names were, who they were before they became monsters. What mattered was that they were scum now and they all had to stay the hell out of his town.

That was it, that was why he was here. Jesse often took justice into his own hands. He was tired of waiting for police who would never come, a court system that never found the guilty at fault. It wasn't fair that his family and neighbors had to live in fear of the gangs, fear that they would be the next ones to be targeted. The day his sister was targeted was the day his normal life ended. But he traded it willingly for the chance to chase every last one of them out of town.

Well, except there was a mess of them.

He ended up being dropped off at his house after school, not by a friend, but by the police who once again found him beating on yet another fellow student. They had begun to question whether he was in one of these teen gangs himself. But, clearly, he was not.

"I, of all people?" he asked, his right eye brow raised.

"Like you said, you've been here before, so I'm guessing you get the walk of things." Katt replied, her statement more like a question. She shrugged. "Maybe I'm wrong, however. Besides, you look like a smart kid. Smart enough to know these things. No doubt you've encountered situations of the like?" she asked, arching a brow, her pretty face inquiring.

Well, I'm exhausted. I've been up since 6:00 AM and it is now 10:00 PM, so I think I'm going to go to bed. Don't want to be tired for school tomorrow.]

Caine looked for individuals and spotted this one girl in a corner. Everything about her screamed 'I don't what to be here.' He whispered to Alexandra "Will be back. Gonna make some new friends." He walked over to the girl in the corner and simply said. "Hey."

Celeste jumped a bit when she was talked to. She gazed at who he was, her eyes scanning his face for anything hateful. She didn't see anything that she should worry about, so she decided she might as well talk to him. "Hey..." she said, straightnening out a bit, continuing to gaze at his face for anything that could be dangerous. Being a truth Wizard has its advantages... she thought. She would certainly find it helpful in a place like this, where she had to be careful.

Name: Amanda Hayley Hayes
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Personality: Amanda is a sweet girl with a bad temper. She often falls into trouble without trying, but that kinda runs in the family. This isn't her first time in a correction facility either, she's been in for stealing and assault. Though she tries to stay out of trouble, she's often guided by her friends, who are known for their bad reputations.
History: Never really knowing their parents, Amanda and Jay were shipped off to live with their grandparents at young ages, her brother three years older than her. Her parents went to jail together after committing murder and the kids haven't seen them since, not even during visitation because their grandmother doesn't want to expose them to cold blooded killers. Ever since Jayson had moved out a year ago and Amanda had been caught alone with her boyfriend, her grandparents have gotten even more strict.
Likes: Get to know her to figure out what she likes. She doesn't even know half the time.
