Ren huffed and glanced back at her. "that's because I don't pick at you. Would you rather have me do that and tick you off?" he asked, looking up at the trees. A spider was climbing up from a web near them, but Ren didn't make note of it. Animals didnt scare him. He hated insects, but wasn't afraid of them.

"The real question is, would you rather have me claw your...spider." My eyes widened as the large eight-legged creature came into view. The worst part was, we were walking right towards it. Normally instinct said to fight and destroy any and all threats. I never ran from things...except spiders. My ears flattened more in fear than the usual threatening gesture. The moment the spider was within arms reach I let out a frightened mewl and jumped off of Ren's back running in the opposite direction. God I hated spiders. Too many legs, eyes, and they were just gross!

Ren raised an eyebrow when she ran off. She was afraid of spiders? He stifled a laugh and simply reached out a hand, letting the spider crawl onto it. "hey little guy." he giggled quietly, wanting so bad to go scare Jinx with it. Maybe he could stick it in her backpack.

I awoke to see Ronnie had disappeared. I searched the cave but didn't see her anywhere. I took flight outside and scanned the perimeter. Still no white winged angel.

It wasn't until I stumbled over a tree root that I stopped running. Five minutes later, the shaking and whimpering had subsided. When the school had found out about my fear, they took every opportunity to force me into submission with wolf-spiders and different species of tarantula. There was even a time that I'd been locked in a small cage with a camel spider, leaving me compliant for months. When we finally escaped, I made sure to kill the sick freak who came up with the idea to lock a thirteen year old girl, in a tiny cage with a camel spider of all things. While most would have been desensitized to spiders after all of that, the fear still clung to me no matter what.
