AGAINST THE WIND

This is real. This is not a joke.
You are a solider, just being sent off to the middle east to finish the war against terrorism. You have family back home, friends, and memories. But is life ever perfect?
There were attacks all over the world. America, Italy, Great Britin, Russia, Spain, Greece, England, Frace, Ukraine....everywhere. There was no choice, really. Either stay home, or help keep your family safe. Overall, life isn't peaceful anymore.
The middle east is hot, and either pouring rain or unbeleivably dry. In the little free time you have, and joke around with your buddies, or try to get some sleep. It's rare that you get any days off because you feel sick, unless it's too much to handle. You can show no mercy if you are disobeyed by any of the people in the country, because you do not know who is your enemy, and who isn't.
Everyone will make it home, at one point or another.
But the real question is, who will be going home alive?

One girl stands alone, she knew the sun would blink out, she knew the vampires would come. She's the only one who would stand up to them. Of the few surviving humans she searches for those willing to join her. She has many buildings shielded from the vampires and lets other humans stay safe with her. She is one in a million, all the others killed, who can tell who's a vampire and who's not. Most humans have fallen prey, thinking that they had found another living but in reality the vampires look just like humans, unless you see their fangs of course. Recently a few vampires have become good and wish to join the girl, some have even fallen in love with humans. What will you do now? Will you run away? Will you let the vampires change you? Are you a vampire already?

You live in a world surrounded by ghosts. Some may see them but some may not. That is the mystery all are trying to unravel. Seventeen years ago, something happened to the universe that made the next generation be able to see and talk to ghosts. These special people are called post-shifters. People born before the shift are called pre-shifters. Ghosts are not able to communicate nor see each other but are able to see and talk to humans, pre or post-shifters. These ghost appear as a feint purple figure with all the features of a real human but have a purple hue. If a ghost becomes jealous, mad, or sad, and it becomes extreme, they can turn into shades. shades are a type of ghost that can't control what they do and are impossible to catch. There is a special tool that you can use to catch ghosts. It is called a BlackBox. If a ghost is caught inside a room that has a BlackBox turned on, it will be stuck in there until it is turned off or a door is opened. But they cannot enter a place with a BlackBox. The "Job" of post-shifters is to guide the ghosts into the next life. They achieve this by bringing the ghost into court and revealing the cause of death. That usually makes the ghost pass on unless they are turning shade. Ghosts can't enter a court house unless summoned by a crystal that has been attached to them. there are two weakness to ghosts. One is the colour red and the other is Obsidian. What will be your fate? Fame as a post-shifter, mystery as a pre-shifter, happiness as a ghost, or fear as a shade?

Vampires

You walk through the dark forest. The realm where your kind have been banished. "i'm starved" you hiss under your breath. You pause hearing a shuffling noise. A small smile creeps onto your lips as you spot a young girl clumsily fighting the underbrush of the forest. You walk forward your large sharp canine fangs slide out in blood lust as your eyes shift from their normal silvery blue to blood red. "hello sweetheart" you coo in a slightly seductive voice "you seem to be in a bit of a jam. Would you like me to help?" you ask seeing the fear seep into the girls' eyes she holds out her hand her own eyes shifting to a icy blue "no thanks" she said as you feel your feet slowing to a stop as they freeze to the floor. You growl in irritation as you realize what this girl is. A elemental, of course.

Vampire
☾ If you are bitten by a vampire you do not turn into one.
☾ to turn into a vampire they must bite you and then share their blood with you
☾ Sunlight does not kill vampires, but it does give them nasty blisters and makes their seeing dull
☾ They are most active at night and most live in the forest.
☾ Vampires that were born vampires {opposed to being bitten} may have a few small powers
☾ They have remarkable healing abilities unless they are shot with a silver bullet, then it takes twice as long to heal
☾ Most vampires have darker hair and metallic green or blue eyes that turn red when hungry/feeding

Werewolves

You watch as a tall lanky vampire makes his way towards a struggling elemental girl. you care so close you can see the red of his eyes. Your tail sways back and forth in wait. Your wolf form's mind starts to take over kill kill kill it chants, you do you best to ignore it but feel your paws slowly edging forward. You want so bad to attack this dirty vamp, but realize there is another girl with him. You can easily tell by the scent that this girl is a elemental girl. "she's no threat" you rumble to yourself Alpha, did you find one? you hear one of the younger members of you pack as in a meek voice in your head. Yes, bring the other's. We will feast tonight on vampire you say a small wolf smirk filled your lips. Your mortal enemy, the vampire. Dirty blood-sucking creatures that deserve death. This is exactly what they will get. One day the werewolves will rule the forest

Werewolf
☪ Werewolves can shift back and forth between
☪ When in wolf form they are full wolf
☪ Do no shift only on full moon, although full moons can make younger werewolves loose control
☪ In order for a person to turn into a werewolf they must be bitten under a full moon
☪ Werewolves always travel in packs, if they travel alone they are marked as loners
☪ All pack members can communicate telephonically
☪ Werewolves live in the forest along with the vampire
☪ Most werewolves have brown hair or black hair and amber/copper or bright green colored eyes.

Elementals

You hold the package that your mentor had given you as a special mission. you can't help but wonder what was inside, whatever it was, your mentor told you not to look. She sighed loudly as you rustled awkwardly through the shrubs and trees. Suddenly you feel yourself get jerked backwards, your heart race as you wonder what kind of beast grabbed your cloak. You turn around to find it was only a old gnarled hawthorn bush. You groan loudly "how could this get any worse?" you muttered under your breath right as you hear someone speak "Hello sweetheart" it coos as you turn around to see the glowing blood red eyes of a vampire. you wrinkle your nose in disgust as you catch the scent of blood from him. "looks like your in a jam, need some help?" he purrs stepping closer you hold your hand out, summoning ice beneath his feet. "no thanks" you say sweetly and hear him hiss in irritation as he realizes what you are. You scamper off quickly to finish your mission hoping to not run into anything else.

Elementals
❦ Elementals grow into their power, which they receive at age 15
❦ They can control one element or all of them.
❦ the possible elements are Fire Earth Air and Water
❦ most elementals are girls although there are some boys
❦ Elementals that have only one power are usually stronger than those with all of the elements
❦ if they are wiling, elementals can grant all of their power to a human but there is no way to get it back
❦ Most elementals usually strongly resemble their strongest elements {e.g.: fire = redhead water= blonde/blue-eyed etc}

Wizards

You stand on the edge of the forest looking deep into it. You know about the werewolves and vampires that dwell in there. Your master gave you mission to go in and capture a vampire and werewolf to complete your training to become a full fledged wizard. You hold you wand in your hand shakily. "here we go...Merlin help me" you whisper aloud, your breath visible in the cold morning breeze. you step into the forest warily looking around for any movement. Suddenly you see not only a vampire but a werewolf and what seems to be a elemental girl. 'perfect" you whisper and hold up your wand "capere" you whisper as you see the werewolf freeze in a unblinking position. success! werewolf down, vampire to go. You turn to capture the vampire as well only to find not only he, but the elemental had disappeared. You frown. So close, yet so far.

Wizards
✹ Wizards cannot use element powers, only other magic
✹ They cannot cast spells without their wand
✹ They like among the humans like elementals
✹ wizards don't tend to get along with elementals despite their likeness
✹ unlike the others, wizards can love humans resulting in half-blood opposed to pure-blood
✹ Most wizards have odd fetters such as odd closed hair {purple, blue pink orange etc} or odd colored eyes {gold, purple yellow etc}

Angel

You kick a small pebble across the sidewalk unhappily. "of all angels why did his Majesty send me? i mean...i am nothing special! ok sure i am incredibly handsome and practically irritable but i think his Lord made a mistake on this one" your thought aloud to yourself. From seemingly out of no where a car zoomed by staining your white tee-shirt with ashy mud. You wrinkle your nose "of course i was kidding!" you yell at the sky. People around you pause and walk a little bit faster. Your mission from God? To wipe out the demons that crawled out from the pits of the Inferno. You sigh and looked around spotting a little girls with long messy black hair that had ben dyed and the darkest eyes you have ever seen. Bingo.

Angel
❂ Angels are not perfect. They still can be rebellious but not totally evil
❂ They do have wings and can fly
❂ Angels are known for their "heavenly" good looks
❂ They can control light in different ways
❂ each angel has a halo which is their type of identification
❂ Angels sleep onto of clouds durning the night so that they can watch over the town
❂ Angels always are very good looking. They usually have blonde hair and blue eyes and are usually pale skinned.

Demons

"hm, it's cooler up here" you note as you walk down the street. You smile as you see a little kid with a bright yellow ballon. disgusting. You think irritable and look at the floor with a smirk. Right as the boy went to take another step a crack appeared throwing the pudgy kid off balance so he came crashing to the floor. His little ballon floated form his hand as he started to. You snicker and keep walking when you spot a tall and very handsome man with light blonde hair and clear blue eyes. drat, i'v been caught. You lean agents the wall coolly hoping to be overlooked when he turns his gaze on you. You meet his and scowl slightly. "here we go" you sigh

Demon
✗ Demon are pure evil. keep this in mind. But they can have a soft side
✗ All demons can tell angels apart as well as the other way around.
✗ They yield the power of misfortune and darkness which they use to their advantage
✗ Demons have very small black wings that can gig ether flight but for a short amount of time
✗ they are able to shape shift with ease
✗ the only real way to tell a demon is their dark black eyes. unlike any other creature.

For you, everything was as normal as always. You've always seen the Shadows, the little black creatures. They kept you company all of your life. You've tried telling your parents about them, and all you get in return is a confused, worried look. Sometimes, a 'yes, I know' too, but that became rare the more you persisted about them. And so, one day when you just got home from your last day of school, you walk into the living room and see your bags packed. Your parents stand behind the bags, looking at you sadly. The White Room Asylum. Oh joy, now you really must be insane!

It's hardly been three minutes since your parents drove you away, and you see no Shadows in sight. Anywhere. That's because the asylum was specifically built to keep those creatures at bay. Unless you were to sit in a dark corner for a good hour, you wouldn't find your trusted friends.
"You look rather pale." A little voice chirps from beside you, and you turn to find a surprisingly young-looking girl. "Don't judge a book by it's cover, you can find the Shadows anywhere, so long as you look past the blinding white. Oh, and my name's Rabella. You are?" Extremely confused, you give the girl your name, and then look around. 'Look past the white'? How is that possible? You get a little tour from Rabella, all the while wondering what she meant.
After a good hour, she leaves you at your room.

- If you are bitten by a vampire you do not turn into one
- To become a vampire you must have vampire blood in your veins (cut with a knife that has their blood, forced to drink their blood, etc...)
- Sunlight does not kill vampires, but it does make their seeing dull
- Vampires heal faster than humans and cannot die
- Vampires do not have reflections
- Vampires look and smell just like humans so the only way to tell them apart is their teeth

You now face a great decision; go with these strange cats to who knows where, or stay in the forest by yourself.
