Augustus had come across many idiotic people. Not that he ever called them stupid or things like that, but he did ofte think of how idiotic people could be. Arrogance wasn't something Augustus liked. At all. It was idiotic for many reasons, and made people reckless just to show off. Reckless. Another thing that Augustus could not stand. Why be reckless? Life was so precious, being reckless could easily kill you. Skye was proof that being reckless got one nto stupid situations, and hurt you. In truth, no one was like Augustus. Augustus even though that, but not out of any pride or anything. In fact, he wondered why he was so odd in compairison to others. No one he had met was even close to being like him. Sometime....he just wanted someone to understand. Another reason he had connected with Skye. Skye understood one part of him that no one else did, namely being a pet of some sadistic person. Skye was free of that, thankfully, but it was something that would haunt him his whole life. Augustus wasn't free of it, and it was very unlikely that he ever would be. Augustus knew, or at least thought he knew, where the path of his life lay. No matter how hard he tried to make his own path, he was either forced back onto the path others had put out for him, or he couldn't leave people behind, so was in a way 'forced' back onto the path again. Nothing was simple for Augustus. It never had been and never would be. Life wasn't easy, and Auggie had come to know and accept that a long time ago. Regarding Skye being nothing like his toddler self, Augustus would find that out, and it would hit him. Hard. Somewhere he had the small hope that this Skye might be somewhat similar, even if that was an idea he knew was wrong from what he had read and filed about the boy. "Yes you are alive. I will do everything in my power to keep you that way, little one. Another thing I swear by my own life...." Dipping his head to the boy, Auggie seemed a bit...happy when Skye said that he knew. Good. The boy needed to know that of all people on that earth, Auggie was the one to trust. Wren hated the Council? Augustus knew that many people disliked them, or hated them, but Skye kept stressing that....so...Auggie, when he had some free time, would have to read up on Wren. That was, if his files contained what Skye kept stressing about... "Well then...I will be taking you along, Skye. You will have your chance to speak with him. My first concern, however, is your saftey. These drugs for Caesar would just be a bonus." When Skye said that it wasn't that bad, and then tried to sit up, Augustus tried to stand up immediately to push the boy gently back down, but he couldn't. Instead he just gave a pained and slightly startled cry, facial expression showing his obvious pain. The hand that wasn't gripping the phone was digging into the arm of the chair. Damn Medical Lithius. They must not have fixed him up right. A startling conclusion came to his mind, and he knew what had happened. Oh...No. "My dear Skye, please...don't do that again, yes?" Moving his chair further up near Skye's head when the boy rolled over, Augustus began talking back to Jan. "He's not maimed....but I am no Medical Lithius, Jan. Do what you can on your end. And Skye's saftey and life is always my first priority. You of all people would know that....." When one of his Servants began poking him in the side of the head repeatedly, Augustus gave a growl, trying to push the Servant's hand away. When the Servant persisted, before whining and then poking his side, Augustus gave a loud, 'OK!' before shoving the phone at the Servant. He figured Jan was mostly done speaking with him anyways. "Skye. Do you want to rest again? If so I can let you, though I will remain in the room."
The Servant that had been annoying Auggie was, of course, Aleia. Giving a happy little sound when Auggie gave the phone to him, Aleia spoke into it in his usual overly sweet and flirty voice. "Janny! I've missed you since...last time." Giggling after that he watched as Auggie shot him a glare, and he returned with sticking out his tongue. "You're probably busy....but I just wanted to say hi.....you know...since you never gave me some fancy little phone." Saying that, Aleia obviously sounded jealous, before his sweet little voice came back. "Anyways~ You probably need to go. But visit me again sometime, kay sweetheart?"
