Jack closed his eyes, keeping emotions down, before opening them again. "I'm truely sorry, but you are human. Demons are humans who did something that made them get put into hell, then they turn into demons.." He nodded to himself. "Why wouldn't I run away from a murderer or someone that did something horrible?"

"I didn't murder anyone or do anything like that. I sold my soul," Katinti said. "Don't judge people before you know them." She closed her eyes, thinking of what exactly she'd sold her soul for - her sister's life.

Jack sighed. "I didn't know that was possible." He said honestly, thinking of the concept. "I don't judge them, unless they're hunters. If they're hunters, they kill on purpose."

"Oh, I definitely kill. But only demons," Katinti said, smirking. "Like I said. Demon hunter. I'm a demon who hunts demons."

"That's weird." Jack commented, coming out from behind the car. The husky followed him by the heels. "I don't know what I think about demons. Some are bad, but I guess if you sell your soul you're only desperate. Desperation isn't bad."

"Most demons lose themselves when they become demons. Become creatures of pure evil, with no trace of their past selves remaining. Some remain how they were before, like me. Some are in between," Katinti said, shrugging. "The evil ones deserve to die. No questions asked. They kill, possess, and manipulate people into giving up their souls." She grimaced. "I'd give anything not to be a demon, to be perfectly honest. Horrible creatures."

Jack nodded. "If I was a demon, I'd feel the same way." He commented, telling the truth. "Well, I'm glad I met one who isn't evil."

Jack watched as Redwood went up to the demon, a snarl on his muzzle but his eyes were curious. He couldn't blame the dog; he had never smelled a demon before.
