His words echoed through my ears continuously, as if to mock me. The fact that he'd been so harsh about it didn't help either. At the moment, I was just in shock. How had I not known? How had I not noticed the changes?! With stiff, almost robotic movements I opened my wings and left. Running from this wouldn't do me any good but my head was still having such a hard time understanding what was happening. I'd probably freak out about it later on, after it actually sank in but my mind was refusing to consider the possibility of that being true at the moment.

Hiro stared at his feet with a stoic expression, having realised what he meant from the first question. So he had been right. Whaddya know, maybe he was on the path to omniscience after all. And yeah, he felt terrible for thinking that right after that kind of news, but he just couldn't bring himself to, well, care. At all. He couldn't look up at anyone right now, especially not Jinx. She would definitely have her way with cuddling with him and crying into his shoulder, and he'd just sit there stroking her hair and shushing her, or whatever else she needed from him.

wow, he was a jerk. Ren let himself drop off the edge of the cliff, opening his wings about ten feet from the ground, giving him a soft landing. Being alone was the best thing right now. He let himself sit down in the shadows and blend in. They gave some kind of relief to the whole situation.

The only way I could describe how I felt, was numb. I was hurting but I couldn't quite feel it yet. If anything, I knew I needed closure. As I flew I turned, headed back towards the camp. He'd be there, it would be inevitable. I needed this though, I needed to know that this wasn't some sick joke.

he couldn't just separate himself from everyone. Jinx would need help. Ren shook his head, the waterworks done for now, and flew back up to the cliff, his wings taking over. heck, he didn't even want to go back up there. the sight of Jinx coming back gave him enough hope she'd listen. Ren simply leaned against the side of the cave and waited for the kitty girl. what was she feeling? the same thing as him?

Riley was already on her feet and running to the entrance of the cave, shaking her head. Ren didn't need to have snapped! She'd bug him later, of course. Snapping out her wings, she flew straight as an arrow after Jinx, quickly closing the gap between them. As soon as she felt sure she could hear her, she started shouting. "Jinx! Jinx please come back!"

Sighing softly I slowed until I was flying parallel to Riley. "I'm not leaving forever. I'll be back. I promise. There's something I need to do, ok? Alone." With that said, I sped off making quick progress towards my intended destination. I trusted that Riley would respect me enough to understand that I needed to be alone for this. I needed to know that he was really beyond my reach. It probably sounded strange but seeing him one last time would be my little bit of closure. I still had things I needed to say even though he wouldn't respond.

I stood upright I. He cave and looked at the tips of my hair. It a tally looked kind of cool actually.

Riley opened her mouth to say something, but just frowned and pulled up, hovering for a moment in the air. "Alright... I'll be back at the cave trying to smooth Ren over from his grumpy mood." She called, but her vice trailed off as she turned and flew slowly back to the cave. Her anger was slowly broiling as she flew, and when she got to the cave, she stormed up to Ren, placing her hands on his chest and trying to shove him. "You jerk! You could have just told her he wasn't coming back, instead of screaming at her!" She shouted.
