I listened for a moment, and tried to think of an answer. I wasn't that good with telling others my powers. It was more of a show kind of thing. I thought again for a moment, wondering what to say, and then thought back to Kirose, hoping that my answer was good enough. You'll see why if you stick around long enough. I thought simply and gave Kirose a little knowing smile.

{Gah x___x Alright, but just one. They aren't going to be hybrids. *evil cackle* I can't wait until we get to the part where it all starts xD It'll be soooooooon.}

Fang took a seat on the floor with his back resting against the bottom part of the couch. He knew he should probably leave the couch open for the younger kids who would most likely fall asleep. He silently waited for the movie to start, his long legs stretched out in front of him and his arms crossed comfortably over his stomach.

Chayse settled herself down in a very worn-out arm chair that was next to the couch. She folded herself into the smallest form she could be and rested her head against the back. She watched the screen as little menu showed up. A small ball of excitement stirred in her stomach. And she felt her skin tingling again.
Suddenly, the lights went out.
Chayse bolted upright. "Did I do that?" she whispered. She concentrated on balling up the energy inside of her and she forced it out into the open air.
The lights and TV flickered back on as if nothing had happened.
So she had done it. Well at least now she knew where her power sourced from.

MAX

I looked back at Chayse with slightly widened eyes and a confused expression. "Mmmkay...that was interesting," I muttered, then pressed play, moving back to the couch. I settled down in front of the couch as well, since the seats were very limited, and I knew Gazzy and Angel would get antsy if they weren't comfortable. I was close to Fang, but not too close, like we usually sat. But for some reason, it seemed really close anyways. I didn't want to move further away and show that I was fidgety, but I could feel that somehow, there'd been a subtle change between the two of us. I pulled my knees up to my chest, resting my arms on top of them with my wings resting on either side of me, my eyes on the TV screen.

Kirose smiled in return, and just like that, she had a favorite in the flock. She liked this odd little kid with powers that could blow your mind. She smirked, but crossed her arms as the lights went out, and glanced over at Chayse. Her eyes returned to th movie on Tv, before closing. She didn't feel like watching, so she listened and let her mind create the movie.

{It'll happen tonight, after they go out and enjoy their day...while they can muhahaha. haha. ha. *ahem*}

Fang looked at Max out of the corner of his eye. He was tired of reading expressions and analyzing body language. He could feel the difference in their relationship and he hated it. Life would be so much easier if he knew how to communicate how he felt.
But he remained calm, slouched down a little more and watched the movie.

Chayse laughed a little before sinking back down into her seat. Before long, her eyes were glued to the TV and the magic of movies. She'd never seen one before.

MAX

I glanced back at the others on the couch, and couldn't help but grin at the look on Chayse's face. I nudged Fang, then tilted my head towards his sister, still grinning. I had forgotten that these new avians had probably never seen a movie before; and Avatar would be one heck of a first movie. I turned towards the TV again and slipped down further, creating a moon-like shape to my back, my eyes on the TV. It was actually an excellent movie, but my thoughts, as usual, were elsewhere. On our upcoming problems, how I was going to take care of all the new avians, food, housing, etc. But the most upfront thought on my mind? Yeah. Fang.

At Max's nod, Fang looked at his sister. Her mesmerized expression and intently focused eyes that flitted across the screen made him smile. It was probably her first movie. The thought gave him a pang of guilt and his smile faded. His sister had been happy just to sit on a couch for the first time today while Fang had been living outside of the school for years.
In an attempt to clear his mind, he returned his attention to the movie, but he was extremely aware of Max next to him. He was aware that their breathing was nearly exactly the same and that it would be extremely easy to reach over and hold her under his arm.
Fang got up to get himself a glass of water. He went into the kitchen, leaned over the sink for a few minutes and just took deep, silent breaths, then he filled his cup, took a sip and went back into the living room. He took his place next to Max again and continued to watch the movie.

MAX

My eyes flickered towards Fang when he left to get some water, though something told me it wasn't just because he was thirsty. My expression grew slightly concerened when he didn't return in a few minutes, then moved my eyes back to the screen when he did. Unconsciously, I bit my bottom lip, chewing on it slightly while I watched the movie. I wasn't one to fidget, but Fang had me more on edge than usual...and it didn't feel like a bad thing, which confused me even more. What on earth was going on between us?

Being unable to take this strangeness any more, he grinned. He couldn't help it. It was almost comical, really.
As he looked at his best friend, his partner in crime, his right-hand man, he finally admitted what was driving him crazy.
He liked Max.
There, he had admitted it to himself. Good, the first step to solving a problem is realizing you have a problem, Fang told himself, Unless it isn't a problem at all...
He ignored the last bit that his subconscious had added. He had to make sure he kept this "problem" to himself or things would definitely get even stranger between him and Max.
