Maximum Ride Roleplay

Riley was flying above the Flock, as she normally did every morning, afternoon, and night. She took notice that they were seemingly more lively, and could sense something was wrong. She hovered in the air for a moment, and suddenly heard a loud squawking. She whipped her head around and spotted a giant eagle flying right towards her. With a squeal, she tried to tuck her wings in and drop but the bird smacked into her and they both fell. Riley, having the fantastic luck she does, fell with her back to the ground, and was unable to turn over and open her wings. She looked down towards the ground- the Flock's soon-to-be abandon camp, and started to panic, flailing her limbs.

Storm got Ren's unseen squeeze and sent one back at him. "Thanks Ren. I'll catch up you guys later." The 'thanks' was a thank you for everything; for changing who he was; for caring for him and keeping his secret safe.

Ren offered a gentle, pained smile, then heard mad fluttering. Tearing his gaze away from Storm, he spotted Riley stuck on her back like a turtle. "woah, woah!" he yelped and shot up into the air, flying directly below her, his back brushing hers and flipping her over. He was careful not to whack her in the head with his long wings, and quickly landed with the neat dip of his feathers.

Pouting slightly I shot Ren the most pain promising glare I could manage then looked at Storm with a sweet and innocent expression. "Can't I go with you?" My voice was uncharacteristically sweet so there was no way anyone could say no to me, right? I wasn't vain but I knew how to be adorable and the fluffy appendages I had only made it that much easier.

Ren shook his head. "I'll need you up front. Storm'll be fine." he lied again, his green eyes flashing dangerously. She'd need to come. His excuse could be her hearing and kitty senses, and if there was a Eraser she would be able to find it first.

Hiro wandered back into the clearing after about 10 minutes of being lost, having touched down for a rest after he thought he'd gone too far and not bothered to use his wings. From the direction he was coming there wasn't anyone to cross paths with. The first thing he saw when he entered the clearing was Riley and a random eagle falling out of the sky. He just stood there and looked up at her as Ren swooped her up and the eagle flew off, obviously scared out of its wits.

Riley let out a yelp when Ren flipped her over, and snapped out her wings, flapping frantically before slowly lowering herself to the ground. Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she let out a exasperated breath. "Thanks, Ren." She said awkwardly, not making eye contact with him. She tucked her tawny-and-gray-spotted wings close to her body, clearing her throat and shoving her hands in the pockets of her tattered jeans.

"But plleeeaassee?" This was going to be tough seeing as Ren was less susceptible to my kitty charms these days but hopefully, he'd let me have my way since I'd been reduced to begging. With droopy ears and tear filled eyes I looked at Ren silently willing him to let me have my way. "I know we'll have time to talk later but still, I wanna go."
