Ren slid down from the tree and paced, his hands behind his back as he watched the floor. Every so often he would look aside, stop, then continue his circles. Ren heard footsteps, but wasnt sure who it was, and didnt really care. He placed his jaw and sighed gently, his green eyes flickering up to the trees for a moment. They had to get out of here. Erasers would find them sooner or later.

Ren finally saw Storm return and sat down beside the Eraser. He looked like a wreck. He tapped Storm's hand twice and gave him a look like, 'what'd you tell her? You okay?' he decided to answer Jinx's question for her. "nah. It's called catnip for a reason." Ren gave Jinx a forced smirk.

Ren literally wanted to wrap his arms around Storm's neck and hug him right then and there. No, he couldn't leave yet. Dammit, no! Storm couldn't leave. He wasnt ready. The puppy wouldn't die.

Instead, Ren gave Storm's hand a unseen squeeze, staying next to him for a moment longer before forcing himself to his feet. He'd have to lie. The erasers time was up, and he wanted to be alone. "come on, guys. We're going to find a place to stay while Storm scouts the area. He'll meet up with us when we stop." it took all he could to focus on his voice not breaking.
