THE TIME GAMES (Not accepting!)

Sasha managed to scramble up the creature's rough skin, up to its head. She pulled out her gun, quietly setting it to a more powerful setting than "Stun".

Jack was careful to avoid hitting Sasha as she climbed, aiming back at the monster's chest and hardly even annoying it, though his gun was already set to 'kill'. Still, he fired on, trying to distract the monster as much as possible.

Sasha held her gun steady, and shot it point blank on kill setting in the third eye. Finally, the monster seemed injured. It made a horrible screeching noise, and attempted to buck Sasha off its back. Though the monster was injured now, the kill setting did not seem to actually kill it. It was only mildly injured, but now it seemed to want to retreat. This puzzled Sasha, because this thing could easily kill all of them if it wanted to. It only seemed to be trying to mildly injure them. However, Sasha did not have a lot of time to think because the monster finally managed to throw her off, sending her flying. She smacked right into a rock tower nearby, but managed to hold on to the tower to avoid falling to her death.
Before anyone else could do anything, the monster started to walk away. And then suddenly, with a large flash of light, it disappeared.

[Duskshine]

Jack lowered his gun slowly. "That was odd." he said softly, before registering that Sasha could very well be dead. He ran over to her and saw she was clinging to a rock spire. "You alright?" He called up, craning his neck to look at her.

[danny fenton]

"Yeah," she panted, "I'm just wondering how the heck I get down." She was clinging to a ledge on a very steep part of the spire.

[Duskshine]

"If you trust me enough to jump, go ahead. Climbing doesn't look too easy from down here, anyway." Jack called up, only half joking.

[danny fenton]

She looked town, gulping. "You'll catch me?" Even if he really tried, it looked like it'd be a difficult catch to make.

[Duskshine]

"At the very least I will let you land on me to cushion your fall." Jack promised, a tad more serious. He moved a step closer, lifting his hands in case she jumped without warning. Or fell.

[danny fenton]

"Alright, here goes. 1, 2, 3!" On three, she let go of the rock and fell. She hoped she'd have a soft landing, and not hurt Jack doing so.

[Duskshine]

Jack steadied his feet, watching Sasha fall, lining himself up perfectly. He caught her successfully, though he lost his balance and fell over with her on top of him.
