Hiro gladly accepted the sugary treat, not even bothered by her calling him sweetheart. He opened it in one fell swoop with barely any crackling, though it wasn't completely silent since he was still waking up. He crumbled the wrapper in one hand and took a bite, closing his eyes again as the tastes of caramel and chocolate mixed together, soothing his dry mouth. He finished the candy in three bites, looking up at Jinx with half-lidded eyes for more.

I smiled at the whitecoat's teasing. I believe he wants me to hit the grid. I ignored him and cut around flipping and twirling, spiraling purposely towards the ground. I snapped my wings ou at the last moment and fly up laughing. I push the limits of my usual speeds and excel into a steady 75 mph. I circled the electric enclosure many times quickly doing tricks in the air as if I was a dog given a treat for every mistake I didn't make.




I smiled at Ren and walked over to lay on he ground in the middle of everyone. I gazed up at the sky and closed my eyes. My stomach growled. I ignored I and placed an arm over my forehead.

Hiro smiled halfheartedly up at her as he practically inhaled the two candy bars, barely getting them out of the wrappers before he shoved half of one into his mouth. God, he was so hungry. When was the last time he'd had a real, satisfying meal? He couldn't remember. Oh well, this was as good as anything else, maybe even better. Once he'd finished the candy bars he was wide awake and in desperate need to do something. He stretched out his wings, the bright red primary feathers brushing against the ground. A small burst of warmth surrounded him suddenly, but just as quick it went away so he paid it no mind.

Dr. Alex smiled at the improvement of the experiment. He glanced down at hes clip board and wrote down a series of notes regarding the experiments speed and agility. He looked up at the experiment again with a devious grin, now that he had gathered the information he needed, he wanted to have a little fun. He flicked a switch on the wall beside him, which made various lazers randomly dart across the air, like an unfriendly laser maze game. The lasers weren't directed at Veren but he would have to pay close attention if he didn't want to be injured.

a smile teased on Storms lips. "Only a little." He teased. He was actually glad Ren returned, he was tired, more than usual and he didn't like the feeling that he was getting from it.
