vertigo smiled, shoving himself back into the room after hearing an engine roar and the sound of someone driving off. of course, he assumed it to be the woman who left. he had that effect on people, no one stayed near him for an hour other than the monsters trying to eat him. through his triumph, his shoulder still stung like hell, and was still bleeding. he retreated to the bathroom, washed the wound, patched it up and left the motel.
vertigo walked quietly along the side of the road, his backpack slung over his good shoulder this time. his eyes were trained on the ground, following the mixed patterns of the by-the-ditch sand. he was already starting to get hungry, and he had five miles to go. he knew exactly where the werewolf was heading; someplace you wouldn't expect a hunter to go to. he still had to figure out exactly where, but it was a work in progress. he was hungry and cold, having spent the last of his money on bailing himself out of jail for the millionth time. being that desperate, he started to try to hitch-hike, though it was risky, he didn't want to have to walk five more miles.

xudiul sat outside a bar, comfortable against the door of a random human's car. her vessel's nerdy-girl attire had been entirely changed; the pigtails out, long wavy hair dyed dirtier blonde, no glasses, and a black sweatshirt with jeans. utterly bored and without orders, the demon had nothing to do, no one to kill, and no apocalypse to start. i guess the darkness is taking over hell's apocalypse status, she thought, sighing internally. they were fun, apocalypses. they usually lost to those winchester boys, but it was still worth the ride. heck, she wasn't dead yet and she participated in some.
