Alfred looked back at the British man, hugging his legs and shutting his eyes tightly. He wiped the blood from his cheek, and felt it sting, then rubbed his wrists, feeling how sore they got. I should just kill him now and put him out of his misery. he said as he raised his bat. But instead of making a strong hit to Arthur's face, like he fantasized as log as he could remember, he dropped the bat instead, the clang echoing through the room. "I don't get you at all.."

Arthur slowly looked up at the sound of the bat hitting the floor. That alone was enough to shock him. Earlier, Alfred had said that he would kill him the second the ropes were cut. Well, the ropes were cut. What happened to the killing end of the deal? "I don't understand you either," he said softly. You said you were going to kill me. You never have second thoughts about killing people, especially not about me. So what the hell are you doing? The Brit didn't say any of that out loud in case that triggered something that would result in his head getting bashed in with that bat. He left it with the few words he had said in response to Alfred's statement. Right then, Arthur wasn't understanding anything. Of course, he understood the meaning behind his personal reasons, but he was utterly confused as to what Alfred was playing at.

Alfred glared at Arthur and sighed angrily, looking at his baseball bat. Why couldn't I have just killed him and painted the wall with his brains? That would make life so much easier! He sighed as he looked at his beloved bat on the floor. He felt like picking it up, but didn't.
Alfred rubbed his wrists again, feeling them sting as he did, then touched his face. He did this to me. He deserves to die!"Well say something, dammit. I just saved your damn life!" He finally growled after a few moments of silence. "Wasn't this your plan? To get me to stop hating you?"

Arthur shrugged lightly. "I suppose it was, but that doesn't mean it worked." The pale blond was positive the American still hated him. In fact, he could safely assume that Alfred hated him more because of his backfired plan. "And thank you, I suppose, for not killing me...yet at least." He was honestly thankful that he didn't get the oh-so-pleasurable feeling of getting beat by Alfred's bat. If that thing didn't kill him, he'd die from getting tetanus. Sighing softly, Arthur buried his face back in his arms. "And I'm sorry," he whispered, though it was more to himself than the American standing in front of him. "So terribly sorry..."

The tan America kept his eyes on his bat. He smiled just a bit as he remembered all the times he killed people with it. He wished to pick it up and caress it like he always does, but he didn't. He just looked at it, then at Arthur. He couldn't help but feel sad, and tried to replace that emotion with anger, but that didn't work either. "Who says it didn't? I didn't kill you, did I?" he said calmly, but with the noticeable hint of anger, and maybe something else too..."God, you look so pitiful right now.. " he said glaring at him. It disgusts me to see you like this.. he added in his thoughts. His voice was a mixture of anger, sadness, empathy and maybe even love.

"The key word I said, Alfred, was 'yet.' You haven't killed me yet." Arthur wanted to believe that his plan had worked, but how could he? Alfred had always hated him. Why should tying him to a bed change that? He stayed silent, not looking up at the American. He didn't want to see him. He didn't want to see the red eyes he constantly found himself getting lost in when he didn't mean to. "And I know I look pitiful. Don't rub it in," he snapped slightly, ignoring the different tones in Alfred's voice. It all had to be fake. The tanned male would never care about anybody but himself, and he never hesitated to bash someone's head in. So why start now?

The America just sighed and finally picked up his bat beside the curled up mass of pastel and pale blonde. Instead of swinging it again, or even putting it on his shoulder, he put the bat on the bed and glared at Arthur again. "You know me better then that, Arthur." He said. If he really wanted too kill him, he wouldn't wait, especially at a time like this, when he was so venerable. "Get up, it;s disgusting to see you like this." he said, and it did. It almost pained him to see the Englishman seem so weak. Get a hold of your self! You don't like him! he lied.
