The two had continued talking, but Kenna allowed herself to tune out for a brief moment, having focused on the spell Skylar was silently summoning. It truly was fascinating stuff. Her lips did not move, but the glow was there. Oddly enough, it didn't physically touch Kenna- if it could even do that- but she still noticed the chilly feeling in her bones had begun to disappear. It felt like she was standing in front of a fire, really. It was over within seconds and Kenna offered her a small smile to give her thanks, stepping back so Skylar could have her own personal space. She rubbed her hands together once, then shoved them into the pockets of her jean jacket. Skylar's face had visibly paled when she looked back up, undoubtedly due to what she had informed her.

"Brilliant," Kenna drawled, her accent thickening with the sarcasm. Despite it, though, she truly was a bit concerned. She had begun to suspect that Skylar most likely did know something more, whether that was simply a comment made by someone or further information with the said prophecy, but decided not to press, even though she knew it was going to bug her like no tomorrow. Kenna had suspected Khione was one hundred percent behind this, and after Hank had touched- without verbally saying anything- on Vivienne, she came to the conclusion that the two of them was what was happening.

Her gaze flickered over to Hank, who was inspecting the ground. He hadn't said a word, and Kenna was iffy on asking if this was because he hadn't received any notable visions or dreams, or if it was because he was hesitant to reveal anything. Again, though, as much as Kenna wanted to investigate, she knew it wasn't any of her business. And besides, things seemed rather hush-hush at the moment, she doubted she'd be able to solve this within a few hours. So, she drew a breath. "I suppose in the meantime we can just carry on," she decided, glancing at Hank once more, then Skylar. "Mr. D and Chiron will speak more about it later. It's obviously something important, but going about our day will hopefully release some of the tension. We probably shouldn't be getting the newcomers into a fit, either. They don't need to know anything quite yet."

Pippa couldn't help but notice how limp her handshake had seemed in comparison to Mirabelle's, which was strong and confident. She supposed her confidence would build over time, as well as her strength, seeing how multiple people had been carrying weapons on them. That still made her feel uneasy, but the rather trepidatious looks Mirabelle and Ophelia shared made Pippa believe that whatever that was, it was the reason they trained with weapons. Her big blue eyes snapped from one girl to the other, so confused that she was sure if possible, there would be question marks dazzling in her irises. Based on their postures, the stiffness they carried in their upper back and shoulders, Pippa began to assume they didn't have a huge idea in terms of what was happening with the abnormal change in weather, but they definitely knew more than Pip herself did.

Had she come at a bad time?

She supposed she didn't really have much of a choice, Aphrodite claimed her when she did, but it still made the pit of her stomach twist ever-so-slightly. She wasn't extremely familiar with the name Khione, either, despite having put two-and-two together to determine that was a Goddess. A Goddess that had to do with snow, clearly. It was strange that that wasn't a popular Goddess name, and although this was a far-fetched idea, Pippa wondered if her lack of status in comparison to some of the others either had something to do with this, or it was because of things like this that pulled her back. Pippa couldn't know for sure. But she did know she couldn't give Mirabelle the answer she most likely wanted when she inquired about any unusual dreams. Truth be told, Pippa could barely remember her dreams.

Things just seemed to get more suspicious. Mirabelle seemed to have fallen off the face of Earth for a second, for she had quite literally flinched when Ophelia neared her. Pippa stood alone, looking rather helpless. She didn't want to get involved in whatever business the two had, and certainly didn't want to make anything worse. She still offered a smile when Mira turned back to address her, and decided to do her best to ignore the ghostly look that lingered in the counselor's eye.

"I haven't," she answered. "To both things. No weird dreams, sorry. If you didn't mind even just showing me where the, what did you call it? Dining Pavilion? I'd like that a lot."

Samuel hadn't really responded to Roxanne. He wasn't exactly sure if she was mumbling to herself, or to him, but he wasn't going to encourage more of her rude comments. What did it take to get some personal space around here? An empty cabin, more or less, he decided a moment later, for his dark eyes had settled on the empty Nemesis table. He took a seat, blandly picking at his food. Though hungry before, he was rather put back by both the comments of Roxanne and Hunter, and the weather had thrown him off guard. The name Vivienne swirled through his head. They hadn't seen her for years. Was she back to make her mark? Or was he simply jumping ahead to conclusions? He supposed his superstitions played a part in that.

He leaned back in his chair, turning his palm upward. He closed his fingers into a fist, then released, watching as a nearly transparent ball of energy floated about two inches from his palm. It squiggled ever-so-slightly, as if it was an illusion. He closed his palm again, and when he reopened for the second time, the ball had transformed into a small bear-like figure. Samuel watched with boredom as it raced around his hand, roaring up onto two legs before vanishing completely. He inhaled sharply, ate what he could of his meal, then departed from the Dining Pavilion. The chatter was atrocious and he was feeling rather fatigued.

He set off aimlessly once more, hands in his pockets, breath now visible. A flash of dark hair caught his attention, and Samuel glanced upward, getting a better view of the figure. A relieved breath escaped his lips. Auggie, one of the few people Samuel actually liked, was wandering by herself, sword secured across her person. She didn't seem like she was waiting for anyone, so why not at least say hello? Once he was close to her, he allowed an, "Auggie!" slip from his lips to catch her attention.

Agatha "Aggy" Clemson|Female|Unknown (Ares)|Location: Cabin 11---> Armoury|tags: Niji, Juliet

Aggy was a little sad that Auggie had chosen not to join her, but it was probably for the best. She sped up when she heard a scream come from the direction she was going. She came around a cabin to find Juliet holding out a furry creature to a larger guy who seemed spellbound by it.

At least, probably a guy? They had a whole color scheme of pink and blue going on and Aggy could already tell that they wouldn't find her confusion a call to arms, unfortunately.

She shoved by them, still focused on her sword, and dropped her damp clothes by her bed for the mysterious cleaning harpies to deal with later. Then she grabbed another coat, and switched out her socks and shoes to dry ones, before practically bolting out of the cabin with the sword. She wanted to find this new person's sore spot, but she could deal with that later. She careened by them and was off to the armoury, not paying any attention to their conversation as it held nothing of interest to her.

Niji looked over at the girl that had shoved past him.

"Well that was a little rude. What if she hurt one of you?" They asked a scowl contorting their features.

"Uhh, Juliet, where is the armory? Mr. Chiron said that I would need a weapon for capture the flag. Which is weird why would I need one for capture the flag? And where's the stables? There's someone I need to visit there."

"Sure thing," Mirabelle nodded, offering Pippa a small, reassuring smile. Her grey-blue eyes remained troubled, however. Thoughts roiling like storm clouds, she turned back to the chest of her belongings. She swiftly dove down to the bottom to retrieve her winter boots. She resurfaced with boots in hand, as well as a set of gloves that matched them and a cream-coloured knit hat. The mid-length boots were a few shades darker than her coat, and had some of the cream-coloured faux fur lining peeking out. She quickly donned the remainder of her winter gear before turning to the two other girls in the cabin. "Ready?"

Juliet's heart warmed when the newcomer cooed at her ferret. Romeo seemed to like it too, he bounced around near their brightly-coloured shoes.
She snorted when the person slipped up in their answer, but she refrained from commenting for once - the mention of the Ares cabin had caught her attention. "Yeah, most of them are pretty rude. A few are okay though." She shook out her long, dirty blonde hair, donning a lopsided smile. "Regardless, they make excellent pranking victims."
As she was about to respond to their question about the Armoury, Aggy shoved past her and into the Hermes Cabin. "Rude," she simply remarked, crossing her arms over her chest. Romeo had seemed relatively unfazed, save the fact that he bristled a bit. She did quickly check him over to make sure he was okay before turning her attention back to the new kid. She was about to point out the Armoury when Aggy stomped out of Cabin 11, heading in that direction. "Yeah... just follow miss grumpypants over there. It's a metal shack. Can't miss it." She raised an eyebrow at the mention of Capture the Flag, smirking. "Oh, don't you worry. Chiron will explain the rules before we start," she stated ominously.

Chiron gave a nod in assent and trotted off, presumably to find Mr. D. Chuck let out a breath he didn't know he'd been holding. The whole situation had been rather tense, to say the least. He'd actually begun to eat one of those horrendous fuzzy mittens he'd found earlier in his nervousness. It didn't take a perceptive individual to tell that Jaime felt the same way. "Uh, like, you wanna finish up here and then go for like, a walk or something?" Chuck suggested, hoping that it would help to calm them both. A walk in nature always calmed himself down, that was for sure.

The ability to control ice... Vivienne's gaze sharpened with interest. Perhaps that's why he feels oddly familiar... could he be another demigod of Khione? The thought seemed ludicrous. Certainly her mother would've told her if she'd had any godly half-siblings... right? Her mouth tightened into a thin line. I'll have to bring it up with her as soon as I awaken, she decided. "There is much one can do with ice," she stated instead. She neglected to show him what she meant - that would be a dead giveaway of her identity. Though she had manipulated the dream blizzard around them earlier... Still. She decided she was better safe than sorry in this situation. Speaking of awakening... she felt her grasp on the dream begin to slip.

Agatha "Aggy" Clemson|She/her|Unknown (Ares)|Location: Armoury|tags: open

Aggy was ready for the noise this time, for the weapons to call out for her to touch them, to lift them, to carry them into battle. She let it blurr together into a background hum as worked, finding a bucket and placing the whetstone in it before filling it at a small hose that she had seen just outside of the shed, probably for this exact purpose. She carried the bucket inside and placed it by the door, then she searched for a scabbard to fit her blade. She had tugged on a belt earlier, as a means to help her hold it up.

She found one rather quickly, and though it was a touch deep, it was in good condition, as if it had been made to fit a unique blade and left alone when thr sword was long gone. She grinned, attaching it to her belt before sliding the blade into it.

She stood by the bucket, waiting for the stone to get a good soak before she used it.
Idly, she ran a hand through her short locks, as if that would make them hurry up and finish drying. She closed her eyes and tuned back into the hum of the weapons, though a particular voice was hard to make out over all the noise.

Ophelia Rogers|She/her|Aphrodite|Location: Cabin 10|tags:Pippa, Mira

Ophelia frowned and stepped back at her counselor's flinch, but she seemed to brighten up soon enough. She threw her hoodie back on, then stuffed her blue coat over it. She pushed her feet into her ancient (and ugly) black boots, wincing when they squeezed her toes. Although she liked to pretend that her style was all a choice, the truth was that she had lived off hand-me-downs and second hand stores when she was with her dad, and at this point she really didn't feel comfortable in stuff that actually fit. It hadn't helped that she'd managed to grow a whole two inches in the time she'd been at camp, along with a possibly shoe size, making her already pinchy boots even tighter.

She decided to let Pippa lead her out, knowing that Mira would be much better for her nerves than herself. She knew the meaning of what should be said, but she also knew that her delivery would be off, far too stiff to provide comfort. She tucked a scarf around her neck, and gave the caramel-haired girl a small but encouraging smile.

Henry "Hank" Walker|He/him|Apollo|Location: --->Dining Pavilion|tags: Kenna, Sky--->open

For his part, Hank was practically gnawing on the inside of his cheek to keep from bursting out with a jest, or bolting. Standing still for so long was killing him, especially with the tension about the quest. And, well, the accident.
"Yeah, good idea," He said in response to Kenna's thought, finallt looking back up at the girls. "I should probably find Izzy, and make sure she isn't pestering any newbies," He said, giving a curt nod and starting to shuffle through the snow. It had completely slipped his mind to keep her on hand, and he didn't want to imagine the talk he would get if Izzy was caught wrecking havoc.

Augusta Reynolds|17|she/her|Hades|Field|tags:Samuel
Auggie had been on her way to the arena, prepared to practice with her sword to release some of her pent up stress. Violently swinging a Stygian iron blade around and beating up a dummy was also a good way to get people to leave you alone, nobody wanted to approach the Hades kid going mad with a sharp sword. She frowned when she heard someone call her name and spun around, her expression softening only slightly when she saw Samuel. “Oh, hey.” She replied. She didn’t smile, but that wasn’t usually something one would get from the purple haired girl, unless it was a condescending smirk. She stopped where she was, waiting for the boy to catch up. Of all the people at camp she actually didn’t mind Samuel’s company, though her mind was still slightly preoccupied by the incident with Aggy and what could have happened if she hadn’t gotten her out of the lake quick enough.

Jamie Wallace|16|he/him|Iris|Big House|tags:Chuck
Jamie glanced over at Chuck, whoa was now munching on one of the ugly mittens and almost laughed, despite his nervousness. He took a deep breath to steady himself and nodded, grateful for the suggestion. “Sure,” He replied, picking up the red coat he had previously found and shouldering it on. A walk seemed like the best idea now, it didn’t require too much brain power that he didn’t seem to have at the moment, and the fresh air would probably be good for his jittery nerves. He waited until the satyr was finished gathering his own warmer clothes then headed for the door, stepping out first and leaning against it to hold it open.

The uneased stirring in Pippa's stomach was far from stilling, but she had to appreciate the brave looks the two girls were putting on. Whether that was specifically because of her or just an attempt to ease their nerves, she wasn't too sure, but for their sake and her own, she decided not to dwell too much on it. Besides, they could have totally blown her off. She was, after all, only the newbie who knew nothing, right?

Pippa tossed on her jacket, zipping it up to her collarbones, then smiled somewhat wearily at the two. She almost felt like she was third-wheeling, truth be told. Ophelia must have sensed both the awkwardness Pippa was experiencing and the anxiety Mirabelle was carrying based on the smile she shot Pippa. It was small, but Pip could tell it was genuine. She returned it, then slipped back out into the cold. It still wasn't too bothersome; it reminded her of home. Desperate to get her mind off of the troubles the two girls were experiencing, Pippa motioned outwards with her two hands.

"It's really beautiful here," she commented. "Do you two stay here all year?"

It had taken Auggie an extra second to hear his voice, either because Samuel typically didn't speak loud, or because she had originally intended on ignoring him, which was rather typical. Thankfully she did stop. She was definitely on a mission, Sam could see it in the expression she wore. He didn't break out into a jog, but did pick up the pace ever-so-slightly so she wouldn't have to wait extra long for him. He wasn't super tall, but he did have longer legs than her own, so he caught up quickly. He took a glance at her face. Though she wore the typical prideful expression that came from her Hades blood, Samuel could tell something was troubling her. It would add to why she was walking as quickly as she was.

"What's up?" he asked, deciding to leave it open-ended, in which she could respond with a typical, "Nothing much," or dig deeper into it and realize he was really addressing the uneasy feeling she brought alongside her. "You doing okay?"

"shukr!" Niji said to Juliet before bending down to pet Romeo.

In the middle of petting Romeo Niji froze realizing that he hadn't said thank you in English.

"I am so sorry! I swear I didn't say anything bad!" Niji said fear etched into his face and his hands shaking slightly.

Niji looked over his shoulder towards the armory wondering if he could go to it without being rude and before Juliet yelled at him thinking he said something rude in Arabic.

Augusta Reynolds|17|she/her|Hades|Field|tags:Samuel
Auggie raised an eyebrow at the boys question. She typically tried to keep her emotions away from her face, keeping her usual scowl to avoided unwanted questions, but of course Sam could tell something was up with her. She guessed marching off with her sword like she was ready to kill someone might’ve been a good indicator to her frustration. Aggy had seemed fine when she’d left to drop off her clothes and head to the armoury, but Auggie still felt bad. She wasn’t used to feeling guilty about things, but the borderline near death experience had made her feel like she was living up to the expectations of a child of Hades. As much as she wanted to be intimidating, she didn’t want to be seen as some evil monster, and she didn’t want to be anything like her father.

She briefly considered ignoring the question—or giving a non-specific answer, stating that she was fine—but for some reason she decided to answer honestly for once. It’s not like he was going to judge her, and the more she thought about it, the funnier her story seemed. She shrugged in response. “Nothing much, made a kid jump in the freezing lake, and I was just heading to the arena.” She replied in a nonchalant manner, slipping in the bit in the middle. For some reason saying it out loud made her want to laugh. She didn’t, but the smallest hint of a smile spread across her face.

|Mirabelle Everhart|17|She/Her|Aphrodite|Head Counselor|Location: Walking to Dining Pavilion|Tags: Pippa, Ophelia, Juliet & Niji (both mentioned)|

Mirabelle started to lead the two girls to the dining pavilion, bracing herself against the cold winds outside. "I stay here all year, yes," she replied, though a note of caution slipped into her voice. She had deliberately left out her surname when introducing herself so not to be recognised - her father was a rather well-known fashion designer, after all. The last thing she needed was more questions about him or her past. Most of her cabinmates had learned not to ask, but Pippa was newer and most likely wouldn't have those inclinations. Regardless, she cast a smile Pippa's way. Her attention shifted to the Hermes Cabin, however, when a familiar voice rang out nearby. Juliet was outside talking with a new camper, who had the most fabulous pink hair. She couldn't help but admire it as she passed, though in doing so she drew the attention of her former... friend.
Her heart beat a little faster as she met Juliet's hazel eyes. The daughter of Hermes gave a rather stiff wave, to which Mirabelle merely nodded warily. She desperately hoped neither of her half-sisters were tuned in to their Amokinesis, if they had that ability. It had been hard enough keeping their tryst secret from them when it was still active - now, they would most likely pick up on the hurt and anxiety that came with Juliet's presence, but Mirabelle didn't want to take any chances. She picked up her pace slightly, both eager to get to the dining pavilion and to escape the daughter of Hermes.

Juliet snickered when the candy-haired individual said something in... Arabic, it must've been. "Don't worry about it, kid," she mustered. "You should hear how often the Aphrodite head counselor slips into French by accident." Speaking of... Juliet noticed the willowy blonde exiting Cabin 10, with Ophelia and some new girl in tow. They made uncomfortable eye contact for a second. The daughter of Hermes immediately noted the worry in Mira's gaze. She almost wanted to go up and say something, but... it wasn't her place to do that anymore. Instead, she offered the other girl an uncharacteristically awkward wave as they passed.

Chuck pulled on his newly found winter clothing before happily walking through the door. He offered Jamie a grateful "like, thanks, man," as he exited the Big House. The satyr took one step onto the stairs down from the porch before remembering how icy they had been on the way up. Woops. Too late. His hoofed foot slid on the ice, bending him momentarily into a painfully awkward split, before he completely lost his balance and slipped down the stairs, landing face-first in a pile of fluffy snow. He quickly poked his head out from the snow, looking sheepishly up at Jamie. "I uh, totally didn't just trip," he stated, though a soft blush had crept up on his freckled face. "I was, like, checking if gravity still works."
