Tyler simply remained silent. He thought for a few seconds. So it was true what they said about the Elyadon royals. Tyler had always thought the princes and princesses of Elyadon were very close, but now it seemed different.

"Families fight sometimes," she said simply. She thought of her siblings and how they all ways would smile and laugh once an argument was resolved. "That's the simple truth of it. And different people have different points of view. Like you and I."

Samantha realized that it was time to go to the dance. She put the red dress on, then put on a long, black cloak so people didn't recognize that she was riding "Samuel's" horse. But what was she to do with her armor boots? She shook her head. That didn't matter. Her dress would cover up her boots. Besides, she had to hide a long dagger in her boot, just in case of an emergency. Samantha walked outside her cottage and went towards Lyonus, her horse. He was a beautiful chestnut colored horse with a black mane and four white socks. Lyonus had been with Samantha ever since she first came to Avalon, so he was special to her. He neighed softly as Samantha mounted him. Samantha hoped she didn't look too suspicious riding on Lyonus. After all, she was wearing a black cloak. The guards might see her as a threat. She would have to ride quickly. Samantha mounted Lyonus, then rode towards the castle.

After arriving at the town, Samantha dismounted and led Lyonus to the royal stables. Some passerby's gave her a weird look. She put Lyonus into a stall that was for the head knight, then left. All she needed to do now was buy a mask then head on towards the ball. She walked over towards a nearby shop that was selling masks. Her hood on her cloak was covering her face, so the shop owner couldn't see her face. The store owner looked at Samantha with a strange look. He's probably suspicious of my appearance... Samantha pointed towards a red mask with white and black feathers. The store owner gave a look of realization. "Ah! I see. coverin' up your appearance for the ball, aren't ye? Well, here ya go!" He gave Samantha the mask after she paid. "Thank you." Samantha said, then walked off. She re-entered the stables, and took off her cloak, revealing the dress she was wearing, as well as her recognizable face. She put the cloak on top of Lyonus, then put the mask on her face. She smiled and soon walked over towards the ballroom.

Without bowing, I hurry out of the room. I can't stay with the princess forever, neither just wander around
the ball room. Could I join the dance? I shake my head, and quietly say no to myself.
Either way, my objection myself did not matter. In a few minutes, I find myself wearing a black mask,
covered with little gems. With a black suit and what I don't wear everyday, unlikely identical to my
everyday clothes. I hurry towards the steps.

Valisa had seen a young man wave at her and walk to the dance floor. He was with another young lady and her dress was beautiful. She turned around quickly and walked across the ballroom to the balcony. She needed fresh air to think. Once she was outside and she was sure she was alone she blurthered out to herself " i mustn't over react. " she said calming down.

As I step down the stairs, I see a shadow flick in front of me and disappear.
Maybe its one of the people who are going to dance tonight. But I'm concerned about it, because
I'm pretty sure I heard a sniff as it passed by me. Retracing the steps, I guide myself towards
the footsteps. I find myself on the balcony, where a beautiful lady was standing.
"Princess," I gasp. Isn't she a princess? How can I even dance with a princess, while I'm
a dirty maid who cleans the floor? Questions flood through my mind.

Valisa quickly turned around thinking it was tyler but it was only her sisters maid. " didnt anyone tell you that you are not to reveal your identity or anyone elses?" She asked him. She turned back around and tears began to roll again. Maybe i should have never told him my dress color. She thought. Maybe he didnt want to come for a reason. She thought again. Again and again negative thoughts rolled through her mind as the tears rolled down her cheeks.

Arabella bowed. "A lovely dance," she smiled. "Best not keep your lady friend waiting then." She smiled at him once more before heading back over to where Crystal was standing. She smiled at her friend. "An interesting night already," she remarked. "Come, we must find someone for you to dance with."
