17/♀/Single ♥/Fallen Angel: Affinity for Darkness
"In the darkness, there's no such thing as light."
I let out a huge sigh as I fall back on my plush bed. There wasn't anything I could do that all my friends wanted to. Swimming? Uh no. Massive, raven like wings do not go good with the public. Shopping? Ugh, no excuse there. I've just always hated shopping ever since I was a child. Skateboarding? I wish! Ever since I was 'gifted' with my extra addition to my back, I haven't set foot on a skateboard. I mean, it took me awhile to get used to walking with them for crying out loud. I bet if I even try skateboarding again, my blood would be all over the skate park's concrete. I can kiss my old life goodbye.
I sit up and look in the mirror that hung on the wall across the room from my bed. I see a fair skin colored girl, with dark shoulder length brown hair and stormy blue eyes looking back at me. I take a deep breath as my finger curl under the bottom of my sweathshirt. Before I change my mind, I quickly pull the baggy dark grey sweatshirt over my head and tossing it to the side. My wings slowly unfold off my back as if they were finally set free. I frown a little as the dawning daylight shines on the raven black coloring of the delicate feathers, making them shimmer with a hint of purple-ish blue. I turn around so my back is facing towards the mirror. I look over my right sholder and see where my wings were connected onto my back, just between my shoulder blades. Luckily, my tanktop sinks just a little lower than that, so I don't have to cut out slits for my wings. I close my eyes, unable to look at the reflection of the Fallen Angel girl any longer. I reopen my eyes and grab my hoodie, throwing it back on just as my wings fold up again.
I needed to get out of the house. I look over at my window and a sly smile comes to my lips. I can here my mom clashing pans together downstairs and I move quickly and quietly to the window. My black painted fingernails hover over the window locks before unlaching them. The pads of my finger curl under the window and I silently open the window, the cool Late-Spring night air tickles my bare skin. It felt nice, to feel the air brush against my skin. It reminded me of flying. I push that thought off to the side as I swing a leg out of the window, and onto the little roof that stands above the front patio of the Country House. It wasn't that far of a drop, and besides I've done this millions of times. Carefully, I walk down the length of the small roof, my black converse getting somewhat of a grip on the shingles. I take a deep breath before I sit down on the edge of the roof, turn around so that I'm on my stomach, and quickly pushing myself off the roof, my fingers grasping the gutter. I hung there for a couple seconds before letting go, and landing on my feet. I shrug in approval, please with myself, though I could've done it more smoothly. I jog out to the sidewalk, and begin my late afternoon walk. On the horizon, I can see the silhouette of the Autumn Leaved Woods. I quickly change my paths, so that I'm headed in the direction of the infamous woods.

"This world will never be
What I expected
And if I don't belong
Who would have guessed it
I will not leave alone
Everything that I own
To make you feel like it's not too late
It's never too late."
"Even if I say
It'll be alright
Still I hear you say
You want to end your life
Now and again we try
To just stay alive
Maybe we'll turn it all around
'Cause it's not too late
It's never too late."

17/♂/Single ♥/ Shifts into Black Wolf: Affinity for Ice
"Yeah, I'm a bit cocky...what's your point?"
The crisp, dry grass crackled under my black paws as I ran through the woods. The cool air weaved through my fur with each leap I made. I haven't been able to run in my wolf form for a awhile now, since school kept me busy all day basically. Jeez, I'm glad that's all over. My piercing blue eyes stay focused on what obsticles lay ahead for me as my body lunges forward, heading deeper into the blossoming vegitation of the Autumn Leaved Woods. I start to slow down, eventually coming to a skidding stop. I stood at the top of one of the many slopes of the hilly woods. I close my eyes and shift into my human form. I shake my head, letting my puffy, jet black hair fall into place. I exhale heavily before taking a few steps back, figuring I could just avoid this treterous slope by going around it like a civilized person for once, instead of running down it like a mad man.
I shove my hands into the pockets of my frayed, dark jeans as I descend down the pathway that rounded around the uphill slope. I look around me, making sure no one was around. No, I'm not paranoid, you just never know who you can trust these days. I've already had one encounter with a hunter. I don't want to go down that road again. Once I see that I'm completely alone, a cocky smile comes to my lips. I take out my right hand from my pocket, and think of the shivering cold and winter. Instantly, a rush of an icey cold chill runs down my spine and I knew right then my gift had responded to my request to use Ice. Eh, I'm just having a little fun. I spread my palm out to the path, and ice crackled as it started to coat the rest of the path. I grin and see the shimmering frozen water glisten the path, making it look like something the Ice Queen in Narnia would make. Again, it's been awhile since I've been able to call my gifted element to me. With a wave of my hand, the ice melted, dissapearing and leaving no trace that I was ever there, besides leaving the Earthen soil a little moist. I continue down the path, shoving my hands back into my pockets of my jeans.
