Marina looked around the frozen tundra, admiring the sparkle of the snow on top of the ice. Her furred boots crunching through the snow, she ran, feeling as free as a bird, pale cheeks red and pink lips chapped from the usual winter cold. Up ahead was a beautiful ice sculpture. Marina froze, her long feathered cloak blowing in the breeze. the statue wasn't ice after all, but a clear bluish crystal. She walked around it, admiring the shine there was to it, wondering why it was there. Walking into the path of the sun, a rainbow shone through it, illuminating the ice as the sun began to set. Marina gasped, watching the colors envelop her in a shimmering cloak, as the sun began to set. The crystal water pouch she carried lit up, capturing the color. As the sun set, Marina held up her clear crystal pouch to the light, seeing it was no longer clear, but shimmered in every color of the rainbow. She sat down, her back to the statue, in the dark. She looked to the sky, watching the northern lights dance above her, and she wished she could be up there with them.
