Jacob Tyler Swan

Jacob sighed softly to himself and adjusted his black-and-blue cloak. The hood hung so far over his eyes that he could hardly see the book he was very unsuccessfully trying to read. "Ugh. Stupid daytime." He grumbled. He had been sitting under a tree in the park for most of the day, reading a horror story. Or at least, trying to read it. Most of the story scared the living heck out of him, truthfully. He was just not cut out for this type of stuff. He even had trouble 'hunting' because it hurt to look at the scared expressions that his prey had. Shaking his head as if to clear it, Jacob then let his deep red gaze run over the area around him. He had been hiding here last night and had fallen asleep under this tree. He didn't exactly feel like moving, so he found the book in his cloak pocket and started reading it to pass the time. He'd been hiding from the others of his kind. They liked to pick on him because of his size. 'Shrimpy' they called him. He hated it. Besides, he was hoping to run into a human. He liked talking to them, even if it was against the rules for him to do so. Talking was so much better then hunting to Jacob. Sighing softly, he snapped the book shut and slumped against the tree.

Ari was deep in though, subconsciously doing an area sweep every now and then.He wasn't even sure what he was thinking about, a bit of everything he supposed.His mother had told him to stay around the house, but on a day like this no way in hell was he going to stay cooped up.He had chosen a spot in the park that he could see every direction from, a large clump of boulders, that he had climbed on earlier that morning.He guessed he was just being paranoid, but with the recent events going on....Ari guessed it was better to be safe then sorry right?He spotted one of those kids, the ones that always wore the cloaks.Ari instantly looked down, and did another 360 around himself.Nothing was happening, so he tried to loosen up.Just in case, though, Ari pulled his knees into himself, already feeling more secure, and safe.He closed his eyes, listening to the wind in the trees, before quickly doing yet another look around.He spotted that cloaked person again, under the tree.He had been there all morning, even before Ari had come.Curiosity pricked inside Ari, but he was too scared to do anything about it.

Jacob sighed to himself and finally got up. He noticed the kid on the boulder, but decided to keep his distance. The poor kid looked terrified. He carefully shook the bangs out of his eyes and looked around again, making sure none of his kind were around. "I need to go hunting soon..." He murmured to himself. It had been weeks since his last hunt. His eyes flicked back to Ari and he was tempted to go talk to the human. He pulled the hood up more on his cloak and stepped into the sunlight, making sure all of his skin was covered.
