Avelaine walked towards the boys' dorms with a scowl on her face. Apparently, the kid forgot his room number...again! And needed her to show him the way. "Screw you and your sense of direction." she said irritably, glaring at the boy who silently walked behind her. 'Stupid kid, always getting lost...' she thought to herself as she pushed past the crowd of boys at the entrance. She walked past the halls, up two flights of stairs and past three other dorm before stopping in front of dorm 104, Bill's dorm. She then stuffed a hand in her pocket and pulled out a pen before handing it to him. "Here, why don't write the number on your hand or something...now, If you'd excuse me, I got a plan to make." she told him before walking away.

Bill sighed as she followed Avelaine to the boys' dorms. He had his head down, both hands stuffed in his pockets and Blue perched on his shoulder as he walked. She was probably mad at him right now or just a bit irritated judging by the tone of her voice. 'Cruddy sense of direction...' he thought to himself as he pushed past the crown, chuckling slightly when Blue threatened to snap at one of the guys who wouldn't get out of his way. "Good boy." he said, stroking the miniature dragon once they escaped the crowd. He then followed Avelaine up the stairs and towards dorm 104. "Hey, uh, Tha-" he began but stopped when she handed him a pen and told him to copy the dorm number. He nodded and started jotting down the numbers when he got in.

OOC: Weird... because Bill is much like a character in the book, and Paladin is also in it... and not to mention dragons the size of cats... All a very strange coincidence.

Wizard Sibbs (as Everine prefers to be titled) swatted the air as Dulson was speaking to her. She replied in Hawk, not wanting them to converse in the heart of the building complex in English. "A very dangerous thing..." She said, shaking her head, and getting off track, as usual. She scratched her head, after doing the formal hawk salutation by touching beaks (or rather, beak and nose), and looked around. "Now, Mister Dulson." She said to her companion. "We should be off." She said, marching toward where she assumed the exit would be (you see, Everine is quite a forgetful, confused, and scatterbrained girl). Then Dulson chirruped somehting quite loudly, drawing the attention of yet another passing staff. He scoffed at her and attempted to kick her, but a snake slithered out from under her dress, and the man screamed and ran away, cursing at her. "Now those are not very pleasant words." She said to Dulson, shaking her head and remembering what he had said earlier. "Ah, yes, I see. Tut tut. Too bad that they have us locked up in here, like a pair of stupid (but she did not believe they were at all stupid) rabbits." She clucked, looking around her and noticing for the first time, a centaur and a girl (who smelled quite queer) were conversing near the fountain.

She walked over and stared into the water. "This is a nice bit of aqua, I must say, but it is tainted by no sunlight. Tut tut." She smiled at the girl (Haley), unknowingly interrupting something (As I said earlier, she is quite scatterbrained). Then she realized her mistake (Dulson squawking to her), and blushed, looking back and forth between Rowan and Haley. "Tut Tut, oh dear. I do believe I have been most improper." She clucked again. "My name would be Wizard Sibbs." She said, forgetting to extend her hand in greeting, almost thinking that she would do the Hawk procedure.

Laila continued to run her fingers through the water of the fountain. She looked up and noticed that more people have come. She wasn't quite fond of large crowds, but didn't want to leave the water. The water wasn't as pure as the kind she is used to, but it was better than nothing. She knew that this was most likely the deepest water she will ever get near here. Then again, giving a creature who is known for drowning men by song deep water is not the brightest idea. She noticed that no one noticed her. She let out a sigh and continued to run her hand back and forth through the water.

((Ohmigosh-sorry i haven't posted much! D= I feel stupid. i had to practice for an ROC competition... but that was today, so I'm done and good now!What's the book about, Gwynne? Want Vaan to 'chat' with Bill blackninja? Since they're in the same general area. I think Fall's character can help all the other wanderers when he gets online again...))

Leonard studied Annetka fora moment, reading the "presence" she had, judging if she really was lost, and trying to figure out right off the bat if she was the kind" of girl who would sell out the others. "Well, sadly, they haven't got a map. This place doesn't seem to have been built for our convenience." Not that she would know much about that, if she really didn't know a lot about what went on around there, as she said. "Need help?" He figured it couldn't hurt to lend her a hand, as long as he could pass it off as making sure the new student wouldn't try to escape, yada yada.

A few staff members shot them suspicious looks as they passed, making sure this was just two kids either late to class or skipping it-not that they really cared about that- and not some miniature conspiracy. Other students looked over too, some sympathetic, obviously able to tell Annetka hadn't had to deal with the full brunt of this place yet, others curious as to what was going on. Those who knew Leonard were just surprised he had spoken 'so much'.

Haley stared back at Everine for a moment, wondering why she talked in such a formal manner, but more amused by the use of the word 'aqua' instead of water. "Who the hell says 'tut tut'?" She muttered rudely, well aware this was loud enough to be heard. "You, I guess. Anyway, I'm Haley. What's your normal name? I don't call people Wizard anyone, Werwolf anyone, or heck, the only time i'd do that is if someone gave me the opportunity to say 'vampire edward' so i could mock him to no end. Anyway... hi. Where'd you come from anyway? Do you talk to that bird? Weird." haley peered closer to look at Dulson, on the verge of commenting on how he looked kinda tasty before she caught a glimpse of Laila out of the corner of her eye. "Hey! You been standing there all day or what? Come on over, the fountain ain't that pretty!" she called, perhaps a little too loudly, while waving energetically. "Come on, we already outnumber the men, come here so our little... big actually, party pony can face the odds of three to one!" Yup, gender battles, as if this was actually a 'battle' in any sense of the word, however one decided to make use of it,

Laila got up and looked at Haley and crossed her arms. "I'm a nix. My kind need water, but sadly there is no pool big enough. It's like they don't trust me," Laila said her voice sounded enchanting almost like she was singing at it always drew people in and yet you can still hear the suttle coldness in it. She then looked over at Everine and Dulson. She could understand Dulson, but maybe that was because she can shift into a hawk. She then shifted her gaze to Rowan. She was a little bit confused if he was a horse or a man. She has never seen any creature like him before. Laila has spent her whole life in her lake till now. The only creatures she has ever seen were humans and the ones that live in the forest her lake is in. She has read about wizards, werewolves, vampires, and some greek mythology from books humans leave by when the 'disappear' into the lake. But this was her first time seeing any of them up close.

OOC: midnightsun: the DragonSpell books are quite entertaining. The author is Donita K. Paul, and the books have a great plot. They are very difficult to describe, but I suggest anyone should read them.

Everine's smile faded from her face as Haley started to talk. Her face then contorted into a frown, and still changed yet again to a scowl. She was becoming quite furious, but restrained her flaming tongue. Dulson squawked loudly and flew off. He was very uncomfortable in the presence of what we call tension, thinking humans quite simple minded as to take offense so easily. Hawks were much different. He alighted on Laila's shoulder and cocked a very intelligent silver eye at her.

Meanwhile, Everine drew in a deep breath trying to get a word in while Haley was ranting on about how she could do this, and how Everine talked like a fool (Haley didn't say this, but she could sense it in her choice of words). Being quite ruffled, Everine finally found a break in words to say something. "My name is Wizard Sibbs, and you are not being very pleasant. Tut tut, I do believe that Dulson doesn't like you." Her words could have been rude, but she kept the smae tone throughout, so no offense seemed to be taken. She then noticed the centaur once again (Her being quite forgetful), and frowned. "I suppose that you think my speech quite peculiar as well, Master Centaur." Now some may say "master" with scorn, but she merely used it as a title, a high title (for she assumed that he was higher ranking than herself, for ranks were important where she came from).

Then she noticed Dulson had changed positions, and was now investigating and enjoying the company of Laila, the nix. Everien was extremely interested in the beautiful water girl, and smiled warmly, much different than her scowl. "My cousin was a Lake Wizard, and he spoke much of Nix. I remember he said that they were intensely resourceful and intelligent. Much more so than humans, and eyt they used their voice chiefly to, uh, dispose of the less intelligent humans. " She frowned, thinking of what else he had said. "They were eerie creatures, he had spake, and they wouldn't hesitate to drown an innocent victim, but I assume they were the heathen ones." She started rambling on and on, which probably frustrated anyone present.

Laila smiled at Dulson as he landed on her shoulder. "Hello, you seem like a wise one. Much wiser than this bunch," she said in Hawk language to Dulson. She fixed her dark intelligent eyes into his silver ones. She always has prefered animals to people and humanoid creatures. She then shifted her gaze to Everine.

"Wizard Sibbs, you seem to have a good head on your shoulders. Your cousin is correct though I never met any Lake Wizards before. Actually I never met any mythical creatures before other than tree nymphs, but they rarely made their presence known to me, most likely scared or intimidated. I have drowned every human that has come near my lake, but I had a good reason. Every human that has passed by either destroyed part of my lake or the forest. They have brought death to themselves stealing resources that did not belong to them. I have never met another Nix other than myself so I can not compare myself to others. I stay in my water and the others stay in their's," Laila said in the same enchanting voice as before but with a warmer tone to it. She was surprised of how much she has talked to the wizard. She has not given the wizard too much information about herself for a reason. She has learned the hard way not to trust everyone you see no matter how kind or generouse they seem.

Everine studied the way Dulson and Laila spoke. Dulson was cautious, but not rude. And Laila seemed to be as well, witch was fine and dandy to Everine. She like the Nix immediately once she caught eye of the fair water nymph. Listening intently, the wizard found she could truly trust this enchanting creature, but Laila was hesitant to reveal much, so she went along with her. Smiling she added. "Tut, tut, the things humans do to the Creation. Mustn't have a sensible brain (or any brain, for that matter) adorning any of their boastful selves. Hitherto, it is not my place to judge." She had replied to this in accordance to what the Nix had said about destroying the forest, then retraced back to what Laila had said about tree nymphs. "Ah, tree nymphs are secretive creatures, but I have dealt with my fair share, me being a Forest Wizard and all." She said humbly, "They do love to dance, and dance they will. But when tree spirits have been disturbed so greatly so (as is happening today, as not many have seen a tree nymph for years), they hide themselves to deeply within their tree, that that is what they become; a mere tree." She finished sadly, cooing for Dulson's sake, who alighted upon her fine shoulder then, and nuzzled his fair head in Wizard Sibbs' red locks.

Haley watched the two girls talking and listened with mild interest. It wasn't until Laila mentioned drowning every human who came near the lake that she actually became really interested. "So, wait." She cut in, once there was a break in the conversation. "Every human in that place did something bad? Like what, pick a flower? Toss some trash on the ground? Or did they really screw with the place? Cause it hardly seems like a crime worth execution to be some polluting idiot. Though I guess you'd know more about that than me. What happened to those tree guys? That war hurt 'em, right? And where do they go once they hide in the tree? You said they just became trees, is that like they're really just trees, or are they hiding so far not even you guys can talk to 'em? And if you're a forest wizard or somethin', you can tell what i am, right?" babbled haley, blurting it all out so quickly it was probably a little hard to understand. She didn't know much about tree spirits and things, not like most people did anyway, since up until recently she would have laughed at the idea that trees even HAD spirits. That was a pretty unsettling thing to know. If those plants were all alive, and REALLY alive, not just roots absorbing energy, then all those flowers on dates, any paper, furniture, structures, medicine, and so on came from them. it was a little worse to be doing this things so often without knowing, unlike with animals how turning them into clothing and lunch was an obvious fact, probably because even vegetarians and people like that used plants for daily life all the time. "Huh. So... what do you write with in class? I'm sort of tempted to go on a mini pencil strike or something, but for obvious reasons that wouldn't work... Hey, can you talk to most plants? Like, would you be able to tell those bushes that make the maze we needed to know a way out of there?"

((Wow, I'm RPing my wildest, weirdest, most teenagey character talking to the deep, thoughtful ones. This makes for some weird dialogue...))
