Sam laughed. "Well my name's Sam, nice to meet you," she said, sticking out her hand for a shake. It had definetely not been a normal way to start the day, but hey, if you're part animal, what've you got to lose.

Carmen gave both of them a look of concentration. Then,
"Have either of you gained any powers since you were brought here?" Again, a perfectly valid question, considering the situation. She glanced around- were there others like them? There must be...she'd been in this house for nine days, she'd noticed the eight mattresses... for four girls and four boys? She wasn't sure.

Sam shook her head. "Actually I haven't really 'uncovered' any of my powers," she said, furrowing her eyebrows. It had been quite odd that she had not found her powers yet, when the other two had...

[Singularity]

"I can breathe underwater, swim fast, and turn into a shark, eel, fish, wolf hybrid" Arctic replied. "er...is that normal, oh, of corse it isn't I know but for the situation at hand?"

Carmen nodded.
"I'm sure you will- perhaps we can try to help you to, later today?" she offered, though she really had no idea how they would do that. She turned to the other girl, who had introduced herself as...Arctic?
What an odd name. Oh, well...
"Interesting...no, I wouldn't call it normal, but I can fly and turn partially invisible-and quite possibly a few other things- so I suppose it isn't too out of the ordinary." But this got her thinking- if this girl could turn into an animal, could she?

[Singularity]

"wait! you can fly! Mabey I can too!" Then Arctic took a running leap out the window. " I don't think I can fly."
Arctic moaned from the ground below.

Sam blinked in surprise and looked over the edge of the window sill.
"You know what Arctic?" Sam called. "I think you're right." Sam paused. "Hmmm... Do you think I can fly?!"

Carmen groaned.
"Please don't try..." For a first impression of the two, Carmen thought of Sam as a more sensible person, though she seemed a bit clueless- oddly enough, it seemed like she had a reason why. Arctic seemed to be a bit awkward around them, too quick to act, and well...blunt. She glanced down from the window.
"Are you alright?" Carmen called down, eyebrow raised. Luckily, it wasn't that high- not too much of a tumble. Various natives were staring, though.

[Singularity]

" Do you wanna try? The windows big enough!" Arctic shouted up as she brushed off the dust and dirt. She hurried out of the way and yelled" come on! if you fall it doesn't hurt too much!!"

Sam blinked. "Ah, thanks Arctic, but I think that I shall do that when all the public are not staring?" she called back with a smile.
I mean: she could probably find out her power with patience instead of a few broken bones, right?
