Harley also grumbled a bit at Eddie's surrender. "I mean a little trouble never hurt nobody." She mumbled, secretly wanting a bit of action. Her eyebrows shot up in surprise at Eddie's sudden snap. "Your demon-monster-thingy eats people! You should have let him!" She yelled. Watching him eat someone would have been very entertaining and she wanted to see him in action. "No wonder it's hungry, you gotta let it eat!" She sympathized, feeling somewhat bad for the creature. "If I had a monster like you did, he could eat all the people he wanted!"

Erik Lehnsherr

────────────────────────────────────────
location; New York City, New York tags; Venom, Eddie Brock, Harley Quinn

Peevish to say the least, Erik spit out a reply with a scowl. ”Apologies for inconveniencing you. Next time I’ll try to avoid all the interesting individuals wandering around on street corners.”

The large creature morphed back into human form — Eddie if he wasn’t mistaken — and proceeded to talk about eating him. Lovely. He gave an exasperated sigh and crossed his arms. Deep breaths. Ignoring the side conversation that involved threatening to eat him, he changed the subject. ”We’re not getting anywhere like this,” Erik shook his head, glancing about uncomfortably. He had a rising suspicion something was incredibly off, yet being out in the street where anyone could see was turning into an increasingly bad idea.

Releasing the streetlight from his magnetic hold, the pole gave a small squeak of movement before resting again. Realistically, he wouldn’t need it to defend himself anyway. The buttons and zippers on himself and his two acquaintances were within reach, as well as the infrastructure of the street itself. Letting the light be was mostly for show, to ease the tension in the air.

“Look, I think we got off on the wrong foot. I’m Eddie Brock. My, uh...other half is Venom, and her name’s Harley Quinn.” Eddie stated, jamming his thumb towards Harley. “We don’t wanna fight. Well, I don’t. I can’t speak for those two. It seems like you’re in a similar situation as us, right?” The journalist asked. “You wake up in an alley too?”

CLINT BARTON
Even as a dad, Clint was a sweatpants kind of guy. Plain, weathered grey with a splotch of resin and wood varnish stains, the strings of the waistband peeking out under the bottom of a black hoodie that could probably stand to be washed sometime soon. His tactical gear was all under it, not enough in the New York winter as he hopped from roof to roof with a quiver at his hip. The collapsible bow was tucked into it, probably clacking against the arrows he would slot into it with machine-like precision, but whether he was making enough noise to attract any attention was lost on him. Probably not. He hoped. He’d been following the trail projected to him by Stark, looking for the newest temporal rift opening in the city and hoping to bring whatever came out of it into custody - everyone liked to joke that Barton was SHIELD's entire recruitment team and the administration behind it, but the truth was he was genuinely good with people and at reconnaissance. Most of his excursions ended in him collecting a new stray - Natasha, Lucky, the Maximoff twins - but they didn’t know about these new people. Some of them were enhanced, some just naturally good at things like he was. They were different, and that was the long and the short of it.

Right now, he was looking down on two men and a woman. The nearest man looked disheveled, average, but something about him was off in a way that made the archer’s skin crawl near-violently - the other looked like he at least knew where he was, but that was a long shot in itself. The woman was a little more interesting, carrying a bat dressed in fun colors the way kids these days usually did, but he couldn't get an age from her when she was turned around. Now, she looked like an enhanced person, and Clint had seen an awful lot of them. He was too far away to guess what they were talking about, and the haphazard guy didn’t open his mouth wide enough when he talked for Clint to have any take away from the lipreading, but he had to assume they weren’t aware he was watching, and they they didn’t hear him set his bow up and nock an arrow. He kept it aimed at the ground of the rooftop, but kept it at the ready just in case. He had no idea how this would go.

Eddie was waiting for a reply when he felt Venom stirring within him. The extraterrestrial had become wary all of a sudden, which instantly set Eddie on edge. “Eddie, we are being watched.” Venom hissed lowly. Eddie glanced around, eyes searching frantically for the watcher. After a few moments, his eyes landed on a figure pearching on a rooftop a ways away. Eddie felt his heart jump. The person was too war away for him to make out what they looked like, but Eddie knew they were staring right at him. He didn’t dare move, aside from nudging Harley with his elbow to get her attention.

Xeria Dream: Location: New York City: Tags: None

Xeria continued down the street side getting a lot of attention no one stopped her. But she caught the words, Cosplay and mascot a lot even though she had no idea what they meant. As she continued to walk she caught the news on a TV in a store window it was something about interdimensional portals and superheroes going to investigate them, "So that's how I got here." She thought outloud. "Now it seems I should find one of these heroes and I seem to stick out like a sore thumb here, So if their looking for different people who went through a portal they'll likely find me pretty fast." She said to herself as she left the TV store window and kept walking down the road.

It turned out Rosali was in a more slummy part of a city called New York. Some thugs had already tried to rob her on several occasions, But she taught them not to try to rob a organic android the hard way. Although since abhorred violence so she knocked out any of them that attacked her or didn't run away painlessly with pressure points.

After awhile she finally got to a main street. She had by this point picked up a couple old news papers and noticed super humans reffered to as heroes dominated this Earth's news. Upon further thought on the matter these heroes were probably her best bet to figure out what was going on, So she would have to find one.

CLINT BARTON
Spotted. Clint took the L and sprinted for the next roof, dropping onto it and rolling on his shoulder. It was a better vantage point, but not only for him, which was why he hadn’t chosen it in the first place. The guy that gave him the creeps had looked dead at him, and if he was raising the alarm, it might be wise to signal for some help. Then again, he couldn’t confirm that they were hostile. If they weren’t looking to get all murder-y, a conversation was in order. He hadn’t talked to strangers in a while, so that would be fun. It looked like they were speaking English- their mouths didn’t shape themselves around vowels and harsh r’s the way the French did, there were no big Russian syllables. Spanish was a possibility, but as long as they were slow that wouldn’t be a problem. He did okay with Spanish.

Clint popped is head over the parapet of the tall building to see if the guy was still watching him. His arrow had found its place in the bow again, set to strike if he needed to get out of there. It was a smoke bomb, something he’d been working on with Stark because archery wasn’t always a stealthy business, especially when you just wouldn’t seem to miss. Unless it came to it the bow would stay below the barrier, though, out of sight and nonthreatening for the moment. If he needed the assistance after ll, he would just fire off a flare and get into it. For now, he was just watching, trying to make sense of the silent conversation unfolding below.

Eddie watched as the figure leaped to another building, his mind racing. It was clear the person hadn’t wanted to be seen, and that meant they could very well be in danger. Eddie could care less what happened to the man, but he’d taken a bit of a liking to Harley, as crazy as she was. He knew Venom felt the same. “What are we going to do? Shall we greet the intruder?” Venom questioned. “I don’t know, V. We don’t know who that is. What if it’s a friend of that mutant guy?” Eddie replied, earning a low chuckle from the symbiote. “We can take them. They are strong, but we are stronger.” The reporter sighed, rubbing his temples. “Fine, but no eating anyone.” He glanced over at Harley, murmuring something to her under his breath. “I’ll be right back...” With that, he ran towards the building the figure was located on.

CLINT BARTON
With that, Clint mobilized. Not friendly. Definitely not friendly. He didn’t like the way Eddie moved, like he was concealing something the way Banner did. Just, Banner was nicer-looking and more approachable. That guy was fast, and he was almost out of time on a decision if he could climb stairs that quick too. He didn’t want to risk meeting halfway up the stairs, especially not looking like some bow-toting crazy guy, and he really didn’t want to ditch the sweatpants, so he collapsed his bow and climbed up onto the west parapet to keep an eye on it. When Eddie was inside, he launched himself over onto the fire escape. His heels hit hard, but in the second it took to recover the bow was into the quiver and he was running, taking the stairs two at a time to hopefully avoid whatever was coming.

As Natasha would say, Clint was intelligent, but he wasn’t smart. There was a burning curiosity to know what that guy could do, and he was sure the more information he could bring back the better handle they could get on this situation - there were at least three enhanced persons in the city that were now on the radar, the rift was spitting them out from god-knew-where, and in a minute the archer would know just what stranger #1 was capable of. He was all for developing a strategy to beat him if necessary, but if they could reason something out, why not? He tucked himself against the wall by the street and waited, out of sight but with what he considered a decent sight.

Eddie was about halfway to the staircase when Venom spoke again. “He’s moving Eddie!” The journalist stopped in his tracks. “Where did he go?” He asked. “I’m not sure. I sensed him jumping off of the roof, and then I felt vibrations on the fire escape.” Eddie quickly ran over to a window, busting it out and hopping out onto the fire escape. His heart was pounding. Now he knew this wasn’t just a normal person; what kind of person jumps off of a roof? Even if there is a fire escape to land on, normal people wouldn’t dare chance it. Eddie ran down the fire escape, his speed helping him reach the bottom in under a minute. He glanced around the alley, trying to figure out where the figure had gone.
