luke chuckled as divina replied about the boys being there. "if they are, we can just go up to my room." he shrugged slightly, then eyes went slightly wide as he rethought what he said and how it sounded wrong. "i mean.. youknow what i mean.. right?" he laughed a little bit, as he started up the car and began to drive. "so, what music do you like?" he asked her, putting in a CD. He put in The Cab, you pretty much can't hate them. "my car is mainly filled wtih old classics such as oasis, the killers, etcetera. However, I've also got a bit of punk and the 'grunge', like blink 182, my chemical romance, etcetera." he nodded slightly, as they reached a red light. "not going to lie though, i was extremely nervous for this date." he laughed a little bit, and took a quick sip out of the straw while the light was still on red.

Divina couldn't help but laugh before finally speaking so he didn't feel so embarrassed. "yes I know what you mean" she befor elooking at him as he asked about music. listening to what he liked she nodded slightly smiling "well, I like blink 182, the cab, at sunset, uh, and of course a few others. Oh, and you guys of course" She couldn't help but smile saying that before she decided. "The cab is good" she smiled slightly. She quite liked the band so they were good, then agian she hadn't met anyone who hadn't liked the band

"you're music taste is good." the boy winked, and pulled up to the house as soon as This City Is Contagious ended. "this is home." he smiled wide, as he got out the car and opened divina's door. he remember about his drink and quickly went back to the drivers side to get it and took a large sip of it. luke then went to unlock the front door. "so, this is our house. want a quick tour?" he asked her as he took his shoes off and placed them by the door.

Divina grabbed her drink and went to push the door open, only for her hand to grab empty air as luke pulled it open. She smiled softly and stepped out starting at their house momentarily. She walked towards the house, and as he opened the door she walked inside having a good look around of what she could see. Watching him remove his shoes, she thought about removing hers but decided against it. She preferred keeping her feet covered anyway. But if he asked her too, then she would. She looked around before looking back at luke as he asked if she wanted a tour. "I don't mind, your choice" She smiled looking at the roof before back to luke.

calum simply nodded along at her responses, blinking solemnly. the guitar definitely sparked his interest, he'd have to get her to play sometime - he was sure of it. "what songs do you know how to play - on guitar, i mean." he hoped that with the cooperation of question, he would find out what kind of music she liked - or what she preferred, artist and genre wise. the nineteen year old pressed back the urge to laugh at her last sentence, jade had a selective humor, a small figuration that cal put together. the boy then crossed his ankles, slightly swinging his legs in the quieter environment - it was soothing, in his perspective. with the fresh scent of coffee in the air, the small chatter of other town residence; it had a comfortable aura about it. the awkwardness was still slightly crowding their small chat, he knew that, but calum couldn't help but suppress a smile because of it all. he is most likely scoring a good friend as of now in one of his favorite coffee shops - it was traditional, really, but their was just this pang of giddiness that kept him going. the kiwi boy took a quick glance out the window within the short pause after his question, eyes training on the pedestrians who were in unknown situations. wealthy business men mixing with the lower second class - the popular high school kids unknowingly matching step with the rebellious, quieter teens. it was majestic in the kiwi boys mind, how everyone was so set in their train of thought that they didn't give their enemies a second glance. this was a reoccurring event for him; getting stuck in his imagination unknowingly, probably more times than it should. with a small, self reminder, calum quickly ducked his head, returning back to reality with an infatuated expression.

violet spun the album around in her hands, eyes scanning over the selected songs and album art - it intrigued her. though, as a whisper appeared in her ear - the girl quietly gasped and quickly turned on her heel to face whoever - possible murderer - had approached her. her eyes were slightly blown as she scanned over the boy, who she was quite surprised by considering he only looked a few years older than herself. but it only made nineteen year old more suspicious when the male knew her name - she wasn't all that social, if she were to honest, and, well, this whole situation was sort of freaking her out. but then it clicked - it was severely possible that this was her blind date, and he was quite recognizable, but she decided to keep her cool considering that a famous drummer was currently standing a few feet away. violet then snapped out of her small train of thought, giving a small clear of her throat before speaking. "yeah - i'm violet." the girl gave a curt nod, pursing her lips with the continuous hint of confusion - she was still deciding if this was just a curious occurrence or not. within the next few seconds though, vi visibly relaxed her posture, returning to her slouched shoulders with the album by her side. her eyes raked over the taller man, and made a quick decision that she had to thank maria later on. "so, you're my blind date?" the girl tilted her chin slightly, chewing on the inside of her bottom lip as she processed all of this over.

⊲ Ashton blushed a little at the scared expression on the girl's face. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you... I was just trying to be mysterious. I thought girls liked that. I'm Ashton, you can just call me Ash though." He flashed a wide grin, his eves screwed shut and nose scrunched up. When his face finally relaxed, he took the album from her hands. "But honestly, great taste." He took a step back and examined her. "What else do you like? Pop or rock? I guess I'm more into rock and punk, Green Day has to be one of my favourites.. but then again I like a lot-- Sorry I'm rambling." He cut himself off and awkwardly held the album back out towards her, looking anywhere but at her. No wonder my love life sucks he thought with a slight frown. ⊳

pausing for a moment to think about her list of songs that she knew how to play, she figured it might be easier to just tell him a few titles, as well as a list of artists whose songs she had learned. "i know a lot of songs. all the small things, i miss you, what's my age again, and adam's song by blink-182. boulevard of broken dreams, holiday, and american idiot by green day. do i wanna know by arctic monkeys, sugar, we're going down and thanks for the memories by fall out boy. i also know some of your songs. some ed sheeran, the cab, nirvana, the fray, and all time low," she told him, unable to think of the other artists that she had learned songs by. she knew quite a few songs of different genres. she was starting to feel a little less awkward, thankfully, and the fact that they both liked music and played an instrument helped quite a bit. it helped their small conversation to flow more, and it gave them something to talk about, which prevented silence between them. she knew that even if they didn't work out as a couple, that they would become pretty good friends, and that was fine with her. "what songs do you know on bass? i mean, besides your own, at least, i hope you would know how to play your own-" she suddenly cut herself off and blushed. "sorry, i'll stop rambling now." she bit her lip, looking down at the table until she was certain her cheeks were no longer red, before she looked back up at calum, her head tilting to one side with interest.

calum sat in silence as she listed off some of his favorite songs and artists, his jaw agape. his eyes were slightly blown as he placed quickly scratched his nose settingly, giving a small cough. "i really, really love you right now." the kiwi boy burst out in softer laughter because, well, he didn't expect them to share the same music taste. it was a downer, really, how useless lyrics were put together with payed artistry to create pop music - or how random words were thrown into a microphone in front of a crowd as apposed to lyrics filled with anger clashing with distorted guitars and sick drum beats. "well," the nineteen year old paused for a breath, "i know a lot of green day songs as well - i miss you, basket case, many more. bunch of all time low songs, the killers, blink. and yes, i do know how to play my own songs." the boy gave a small chuckle when he was finished speaking, lightly drumming his calloused fingers along the wooden surface of the table. "you have really great music taste, i'll give you that." cal gave a small nod towards jade, running a hand through his raven colored hair with casual movements. "you'll have to meet the rest of the guys sometime, i'm sure they'll greet you with open arms." he smiled gingerly, he felt quite proud of himself for not making any foolish remarks, overall just messing this whole encounter up.

violet was immediately taken aback by the amount of words that flew out of ashton's mouth at once, she didn't know so many things could be said in one sitting. he was an easy going fellow, from what she had just observed - and, in a nicer way, didn't act his age. the girl shuffled slightly on her feet under the small amount of praise and the feeling of eyes striking over her, she honestly didn't know what to directly say. though, the nineteen year old had to admit that he had great taste in music, seemingly identical to her own. vi chuckled slightly under her breath as she returned the disk into her grasp, shaking her head lightly in amusement. "i like punk and metal - the killers, ramones, and green day are some of my favorites. i despise pop, just to let you know - and wow, you're just a little ball of sunshine." violet sarcastically cooed, reaching up a hand to ruffle the mans curlier hair. she was full of sarcasm, judgmental glares never bothered her so she didn't have much of an ego to presume, give or take her actions. as her arm fell back to her side though, she pursed her lips to speak once more. "what's your favorite green day song?" it was a casual conversation starter for them, at least in her mind, since the first introduction resumed to the topic of music.

⊲ Ashton scowled as she touched his hair, reaching his own hands up to fix it and then straightening his back so his hair would be a little further out of reach. "Well Violet, Green Day have tons of great songs, but my favourites are Basket Case and American Idiot. Its so fun to play along to!" He smiled and led her to the front of the shop. "Are you wanting that?" The tall boy pointed to the album she was clutching. It's a date, right? He felt that he should be nice and pay for whatever she wanted. "I'll get it for you if you want." He shot her a signature smile and adjusted his jacket. ⊳

jade giggled at calum's statement, shrugging as she replied, "i tend to have that effect on people." she smiled, figuring that he really hadn't expected her to share the same music taste as he did. most people thought her music taste solely consisted of sweetheart slash bubblegum pop artists, but really, the only artists she enjoyed listening to from that genre were taylor swift and katy perry. she preferred to hear the distorted guitars, and the sound of hard-hitting drums to a recorded backing track with too much autotune on the voices of the singers. "it's a good thing that you know how to play your own songs, but thank you, you have a great taste in music as well." he shares the same music taste as you, shut up jade. she told herself, not wanting to say anything stupid now that they had started to get past the little awkward part of meeting someone for the first time. then he told her that she would have to meet the other boys in his band at some point, and she smiled. "that sounds cool, it always fun to meet people who like the same music." she was feeling quite good about this date with calum. she felt as if she hadn't messed anything up or said anything that could make her look stupid, which was good.
