Aurora Vince.
→ the silvertongue ≎ location; stygian dimension ≎ tags; fynn
The young woman, while living around the same area/city as the rest of her kind, the Ambassadors, she had not seen them in a while. So, she was thoroughly surprised while tapping away on some of the technology within the cave to see Fynn show up. She had arrived maybe a half hour earlier, and her hair was still damp because unless there was somewhere she needed to be, she didn't change out of her wet clothing from the swim. Call her crazy, but she enjoyed the feeling of drying naturally, whether it be after a shower of a trip to an underwater cave.
It took about two seconds after Fynn got here for her to sense her presence; the Styg enhanced her power of being able to find creatures, and much like an animal, she could get a feeling whenever a particular one was around. She turned, raising an eyebrow, surprised to be interrupted, but in a pleasant way. She smiled softly as Fynn went off to change, wondering if she had been noticed yet or not. She peered over at the screen that the other Ambassador had; hers was monitoring orbits, Aurora was just checking population records for all of the species on Earth, and updates on which were endangered and such. She was just a bit nutty about animals. She frowned as she caught what Fynn realized was wrong with the records, and murmured softly, "That's rather... odd."
She leaned back in her seat, thoughtful and quiet for a moment. "Hm," she muttered under her breath, but said nothing else. She understood it, but not quite like Fynn did, and she wanted to hear the girl's thoughts on it. After all, she was the one most experienced on the subject. Aurora just knew life, life, and more life. She could chatter away about some monkey species, but space and stars were not her cup of tea.

FYNN MAERR HAWKINGtagged; aurora location; stygian dimension♤♠ Fynn jumped when the girl who was half hidden in the shadows let out a small "hmm." Turning her head she saw Aurora Amelia Vince, fellow Ambassador and the only Silvertongue. She grinned, happy to see her again.
"It's been a while," she commented, eyeing her. The Silvertongue had probably knew she was approaching way before Fynn even knew that she was there. In addition to being gifted with extreme senses, Aurora had an almost sixth sense that enabled her to tell when something big was about to happen, much like the birds that flew away before a tsunami. Flipping her brown hair back over her broad shoulders she sat back in the comfortable chairs that were placed around the screens in the Control Room. "Odd indeed. Noticed anything interesting lately? With the animals and species I mean," she prodded. Fynn wondered if the awkward motions of the Moon had an effect on the sleep and migration patterns of the species on Earth, especially the smaller creatures that were more sensitive to the light and gravitational pull of the moon and the sun.
"There's something odd going on with the light and moon patterns," she commented vaguely, unaware she was thinking out loud. The Light that enveloped the earth and all its inhabitants was her responsibility and she would hate to see it get thrown out of proportion, which is why it was so troubling that it seemed to be irregular now. Could it be the workings of The Hunt? They had been after the Ambassadors for over a millennia, why stop their "hard work" and give up? She frowned, the creases in her forehead growing deeper.

She pursed her lips, slightly amused by the fact Fynn hadn't noticed her, but also quickly solemn by the fact that the girl's readings were slightly off. When she asked about the animals, a weak smile came onto her face and she keyed in a command to bring up the records. "Most is alright; no species have changed their diets or habitats too much, and other than the usual idiotic humans destroying their habitats, their homes have remained the same. It's this that bothers me..."
She tapped one key, and it zoomed in. "The dolphins have been swimming a little east of where they usually go in their pods, and if they're not careful they could get themselves accidentally stuck in harbors or fishing nets, or beached..." She leaned back, sighing. "I didn't understand it until I saw your charts; it now makes sense, with the tides slightly affected, the most intelligent creatures in the ocean are the first ones to freak out about it." She knew she shouldn't be so concerned, but hey, it was her ability to find creatures and have the extra sense to look after them, so naturally she would be worried if things were not quite going the way nature was supposed to make them. She had a feeling Fynn was thinking the same things she was - the Hunt might be involved with this.

the voltage ☁ london to stygian dimension
Heat. It trickled over his hands, dribbling over his fingers, sticky, slow and oozing. Gavin watched as it did so, the deep crimson colouring dying his flesh. A cool breeze stirred the leaves on Birdcage walk. London; it was Gavin's personal play-park. He enjoyed nothing more than irritating the UK's populace with changeable, indecisive weather. He'd left it until July to give them any heat at all and now the streets with ringing with the clatter of high-heeled chicks in mini-skirts and business women with constricting skirts. Men in shorts, men in sandals, tourists in socks and short-sleeves. That was one thing the UK could do well, soak up the sunshine. Still, he had other things to do than lounge around and marvel at his handy work. It was hurricane season after all. Rising from the bench he had settled himself on, Gavin squeezed the last of his burger in and flicked the ketchup bathed napkin into the bin. A little trip the Stygian dimension was in order.
He landed precariously on the edge of the rocks, teetering over the underwater-cave's pool of deep water. Ignoring health warnings was always fun and, disregarding the well-known idea of leaving food to settle before you swim, Gavin plunged. The water thrashed at his entrance and tugged at his shirt, but Gavin had grown up with the cave water and he ignored its frictional protests, propelling himself deep into the heart of the lair until the familiar tunnel split open. With a trail of bubbles the only trace of his presence, Gavin swam in. Voices. They carried down to him as he hauled himself out of the water and shook the droplets from his hair. He hugged his chest for a moment, pondering a change into something dry, but decided against it. He could make do with a towel. Trooping down the hallways he caught the last snippet of Fynn's reply and hastened to add his own. "Perhaps I should throw in some stones, when it rains it pours you know." There was mirth in his voice but his eyes were serious as he advanced. Were the hunters interfering with business they had no right in, again?

{{ don't worry guys take your time c: }}
FYNN MAERR HAWKINGtagged; aurora, gavin location; stygian dimension♤♠ As long as she had known, Fynn loved managing her powers and often loved playing shadow and light pranks on unsuspecting humans. But with those powers came the oh-so-boring collection and reading of data in the patterns of the orbit of the moon and the orbit of the earth around the sun. She hated it. It was literally the worst thing you could do to her - throw her into a room where she needed to collect data and read charts and graphs. It wasn't a choice though, she had to.
"Humans will be humans," she grumbled with irritation at Aurora's dig at them. "But that's really unusual. The dolphins are the most sensitive, am I right? I know I'm no expert at this, but what if the whales, the orcas, the squid and the direction of the currents change as well? I mean, the moon controls the tides and the tides control the direction of the movement in the ocean." She started to unconsciously bite her nails - most of them were bitten down to their beds and the often started bleeding, but that was no matter to her. She could easily use her powers to right the moon's position and let it continue on in it's orbit, but it took a lot of work and power energy that needed to be harnessed from her alone. And what's to stop the moon doing it again? She needed to find the source of this problem, and she had no idea how. Looking at Aurora, who was always concerned about the animals, she sighed and looked back at the screen. "I need hel-"
At that point another Ambassador joined them in the Control Room, and the voice that came along with it could only be Gavin. Fynn hadn't seen Gavin in ages, it was only the odd weather patterns that made the humans titter and freak out about that let her know he was still there. She let a small smirk shape her mouth before turning serious again, looking at him with clear silver eyes. "Perfect timing," she announced, looking at him pointedly. "I'm sure you've heard our conversation, so I need help with this moon-business." She jabbed a finger at the middle of his chest then pointed at the screen showing a high-def picture of the moon. "That is, if you can take a break from harassing the humans with your weather-business," she chuckled.

[ I know it's short forgive me ]
Cristiano Valentin
the onyx margin
With a loud rush of air, Cristiano appeared neatly -- if not rather windswept -- on the shoreline just at the edge of the water. Passing through to the Stygian Dimension was one of the easier ones to get to, in Cristiano's opinion. The rocks were slippery upon landing and the lighting was dim, but he was used to it.
"I knew I'd be one of the last people to arrive," Cristiano said apologetically. "Where in the conversation are we?" Cristiano had glanced into the future a few times, but in addition to the fact that it changed radically with every choice someone made, Cristiano couldn't always tell which "present" he had fallen into, sometimes. It was aggravating and confusing.
"Oh, the Hunters are going to become active again," Cristiano blinked and shuffled a little. "I wasn't sure if that was established yet. We get there eventually, don't we?" He massaged his temples.
"Sorry," he mumbled. "Confusing day."

---------- cameron dropped the empty coffee cup he was carrying into the nearest garbage can -- the thought of going into the stygian dimension was enough to wake him up. add coffee to his hyperactive mind and the sum of the two equaled disaster. it was all he could do to quit shaking. but the three ounces of consumed mild roast from the local starbucks wasn't what set his hands a-quivering; he could feel the earth off. all of the planets, actually. every celestial body in the universe was off course. something was definitely wrong. he needed to leave -- now.
---------- he turned down an alleyway in central london -- the city he knew all the ambassadors lived within -- and teleported the moment he was sure no prying eyes reached him. cam swore the second he landed on the beach because he crumpled to his knees [never lock them when you drop from ten feet in the air] and hit a few rocks below. straightening for only enough time to dive into the ocean with a large breath in his lungs, fueling his descent, cameron dove deep below the surface, angling his body towards the cavern's control room. the second his feet touched the ground, cameron changed his clothes. there was a reason he hated the ocean they had to swim through, and it was because it always required a change of clothes. he swapped them out, and toweled his hair before walking down the corridor. usually, when he visited the control room, he was alone. strangely enough, he wasn't today.
---------- his brow furrowed as he followed Cristiano into the cavern with the latest technology. all of them were present. it was then, in his gut, cameron knew something was wrong. "Hold up," he said, after a moment of listening to fynn, aurora, cristiano, and gavin [no greetings. it felt too serious for that]. "You're meaning to say everything we monitor is out of whack. dolphins dying, moon being held back. i felt something up with everything's orbit today. what the hell is going on? besides the obvious hunters, but they haven't done this in a while. if they've ever done it." Cameron swore again, and sat down where he could check on orbits of everything he had access to. He decided in that moment, as he studied them, he needed to get a lid on his cussing, because another stream of vulgar words spewed out before he could so much as understand what he was saying. "everything is off course! what is going on?" he wasn't known for overdramatizing things, but this one time, he felt it needed it. it wasn't just pluto off course, or an asteroid hurtling towards an alien planet with life, but everything -- everything -- he had ever noticed and not noticed was different, and not in good ways. "no wonder fynn's moon is hesitating," he muttered. "it's confused. like me."

Calmly she watched them, listening to them all put in their fair share of opinions and advice. "I'm going to have to agree with Cameron on this one," she murmured, "it seems like a little bit of everything has shifted out of place." She checked her records again, frowning. Tapping in some coordinates, she focused on specific beaches and ocean areas where the dolphins were harmed, and then zoomed out until all she could see were little flashing beacons on the earth.
Squinting, she muttered, "The pattern of these dolphin catastrophes almost make a pattern... let me run it through the database and try and identify it." She hit a command, and away it went, flashing at lightning speed through pictures and patterns to with dots to match it with the grid on the Earth, the same way the humans' police department and Federal Bureau of Investigation would run faces and fingerprints through their databases.
There was definitely something weird going on here, and she found that her eyes were glued to the screen as she watched it try to identify what the pattern really was and what it could possibly mean.
